I don't support public protests anymore, the society is now full of insecurity everywhere. Social media is a great tool to expose and force positive changes instead of bickering only.

Social media alone won't cut it. One protest will do what a million advocacy posts can't. We need to force the hands of politicians to work for the people otherwise they will keep working for themselves. Peaceful but adamant protest

The security chiefs are worst. They don't pay salaries and allowances to soldiers on time.We have seen videos of soldiers killing snakes etc before they can eat, no portable water ! On Nigerian soil ! wheread bandits get food and supplies dropped for them in the forests.
Soldiers can't talk or show their plight. They're arrested, court marshalled or jailed/ killed.... The citizens have to stand up for their soldiers because they are there fighting our battles despite the challenges they face... Police too. Call them corrupt but are they well paid?

We need mass protest in Nigeria, to the senate, house of representatives and all government offices...these present political parties will destroy Nigeria, we need to disband APC, send them out of politics. A government that doesn't take care of its military, that release terrorists, will destroy the country.

All states must not start at same time, every state is independent, once the senate is done with groundwork, laws and modalities, any state that want can start. Instead of you people to vote in governors that will maximise your state resources, invest state revenue to make more wealth and inflow you are advocating for your lazy corrupt governors, supporting their inefficiency and corruption.

State police is supposed to a state internal arrangement, it's not federal government project. All states are autonomous and independent of each other, remember we were different tribes, that is why we operate a federation system, where every state have their governor and local government chairmen, every state will determine its own destiny.

The argument that it will be used is myopic and doesn't hold because anything can be used, what is needed is laws, guidelines, enforcement and punitive measures.

The senate is laying down the rules of engagement and guidelines for the state police. The state police will be checked by federal police, the courts, our judiciary, attorney general and the people...there are checks and balances...if all fails the army will come in and enforce law and order.

Every state don't need to start it at same time, every state don't need to even have it...you can campaign and tell your state governor not to have it. You don't stay in every state, you are not from every state...and why are you so concerned about politicians using state police against each other, they use federal police now, and politicians know how to resolve their matters, they have money to go to court. As a common man that you are, your security and avoiding being kidnapped should be your priority.

State police is simply putting guns in the hands of state actors, to counter the large amount of terrorists with guns in our forests.

There are more pros than cons, everything in life works with laws and guidelines. Start state police now, Nigerian senate, expedite this the way you expedite approval of loans for the president.

You are right, it is a flawed system, once death penalty is announced, the judiciary should ensure the execution is carried out, because the prisoner is the property of the judiciary not governor. In other countries this doesn't happen, because the crime is federal crime.
