BreakingNews21: There are levels to this quagmire. I don't doubt Northern politicians are part of the problem. The picture may be too big for you to fully comprehend. The former and present colonial powers are experts in hiding money for corrupt 9ja leaders in secret offshore bank accounts and in artificial shell companies. Try to expand your mental horizons going forward. It is religious and ethnic sentiments fueling this, this is an Islamist problem, we all know about jihad, we all know about Islamic extremism, so stop deflecting, it's dumb. Bokoharam is fighting against western civilisation, iswap same. This is an Islamic extremists problem. |

Nigerian politicians are very docile, or perhaps they don't care, religion is going to destroy this country, religious bigotry, people befriend bandits because of religion and politics, this is very primitive evil behaviour among the leaders in the north, as we have seen in videos across the internet...we have seen prominent clerics advocating for terrorists, politicians negotiating and smiling with bandits, this can never happen in any other country in the world. |

Dogalmighty17: I said it since last year. The day Boko Haram masters how to use armed drones in the theatre, it is finished. Nigerians, this is it. There is no way the Nigerian army can defeat these guys now. Boko Haram is operating several steps ahead of our armed forces now. If you want to know why this is such a big deal, armed drones are the only reason why Ukraine has been able to keep Russia at bay for a long time now.
Nigeria can never win this war when money meant for equipment and platforms are being looted by officers who use it to build massive mansions all over Nigeria. Boko Haram actually uses its money to buy weapons and equipment and doesn't loot its own treasury.
The Nigerian defence academy should be closed down for good. This is over 15 years and no product of that academy can come up with solutions to the issues of insecurity bedevilling Nigeria. So many religious extremists even in the military, the post of a service man in recent viral news is proof of this... religion will destroy this country, since we no wan get sense. |

Nigeria will turn terrorists to heroes, turn killers to mythical figures, instead of prosecution and execution, like they do in America, China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan, and all those countries are safer, more advanced than Nigeria. Nigeria due to the weak leaders remain slaves to amnesty, who has been proven to be a saboteur. Avedonn: The Nigerian army should not adopt a defensive posture. Rather, they must take the fight to the Boko Haram terrorists. A strategy of waiting for attacks to occur and then repelling them will only prolong the conflict. To bring a decisive end to this war, the military should proactively utilize its advanced satellite intelligence to locate and target the terrorists enclaves. A lot of religious extremists even in the military, we saw the post of the Airforce personnel. |

It is not okay for the US to drop atomic bomb on Hiroshima and claim they did it because the Bible commanded destruction is it?. You also claimed the Bible preached love your neighbor. So you cannot you cannot find any such directives in the Quran?. If you are going to argue then at least do it truthfully. The US never said the bible commanded them to drop Hiroshima lol, they dropped it so the war can end, the Japanese didn't want to surrender and started using kamikaze tactics, this forced the hand of the US, so they can prevail. |

Sneaktee2: [Go to school and get yourself educated olodo.]To be honest Muslims communities are the most unfair and they only talk about been fair when it favours their selfishness
Starting from freedom of religion, historically Yoruba kingship is associated with traditionalist while Northern kingship is forcefully associated with islam
This same Muslims will never ever allow a Christian become Emir of Ilorin talk less of Kano or even a non Muslim become emir of Sokoto, they will rather go to war and kill that that to happen even if the rightful heir is a non Muslim
When Muslims are in the minority they shout about right, justice and equality ...trust them at your peril. immediately they because majority they forget about what justice looks like but their own greed and expansionist agendas
Merely suggesting a Christian or traditionalist should become emir of Sokoto can get you killed while other Muslims will simply cheer the killers they forget no one is more northern than the other, they will say respect the rule of the land

So Arab guys aren't better than them. Apt...when they say in Africa we idolize, I laugh them, the other two major religions have things they idolize as well, the cross, the statute of Jesus and Mary that People kneel to etc, I have seen videos of people rushing and stampede in Mecca when pilgrims want to reach their holy stone etc, it's the same thing, but they say African religions idolize, when in reality all religions idolize...maybe they don't know the meaning of the word. |

olawonder: If Muslims force other faiths to become Muslims, why are you still a Christian? And why is the ratio of Muslims to Christians 50:50 or even more Christians than that in Nigeria? You Christians hate Muslims so much that it’s always your wish that the US should come into Nigeria to kill as many Muslims as it wants. It’s the same way you followers push your leaders to go into defenceless Muslim nations to kill people… yet, you’re the darlings of God, it’s you that Jesus love because you’re doing Jesus’s work abi?!!! We are talking about religious extremism here, do we have anything like Christian laws? Are Christians enforcing laws in areas they hold sway? Imagine the type of nation it will be if all religions start enforcing laws in areas they hold sway, or don't you know there are dozens of religions? Religion is for man not the other way round, you people take this religion thing too hard, it's personal, should be about spirituality not symbolism...promote education for almajiris so the kids can get a better future and less kids are lured into banditry, this is a more noble cause for you to pursue. |
Islam › Re: Islam, Yoruba Kingship, And The Question Of Fairness by dederocs(m): 12:51pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
BlueRayDick: How can you separate Yoruba culture from religion when you agreed in your first paragraph that Yorubas have always practised ATR long before the advent of Islam and Christianity?
Yoruba culture is deeply rooted in ATR and anybody who would be king should either be ready to abide by the culture norms and traditions of the Yorubas (which includes pledging loyalty to the deities) or forget about it.
Not everybody can be a king; most Yoruba communities have more than one ruling house which means there's option for the king to be selected/elected from any of the ruling houses and amongst the candidates jostling for the seat. Anybody who would rather practice a foreign religion instead of his people's religion deeply rooted in their culture should not be considered for the throne.
Saudi Arabia is Muslim country; they would never install a pagan or religious person other than Muslim as king. So why should other countries/kingdoms/communities bend their own customs to crown a Muslim or Christain king? No mind the subjugated minds, they need to emancipate themselves from mental slavery. |

NOETHNICITY: here it is
Make una dey research before una dey argue My point is why are pushing ideology of Saudi Arabia in Africa, or are you not African, born in Africa, your forebears are they not African? Why pushing a narrative set out to use to conquer you, religion is practiced with sense. Look at the North today, millions of almajiri kids indoctrinated, covering heads in poverty, begging...what is the benefit of that. Your life is more meaningful when you contribute meaningfully to society, these religious dogmas have no real benefits to society...with all the sharia in the north, the youths there are more corrupt, and engage in vices even more than is obtainable in the south...do things that benefit your fellow man, this thread has no value. I can't be researching on things that have no benefit to society, it's absurd to me that of all the problems in Nigeria, this is what you choose to talk about, not advise people about bokoharam and iswap killings in the north, instead you are pushing for more religious fundamentalism. that judgement should be contested, the case revisited, the judgement is not sound. |

Has the Supreme Court ruled on this matter? Yes Is the school violating the supreme court’s ruling on this matter?
Yes, absolutely. we have hundreds of religions, how will it look if all the kids are allowed to wear different headgears of different religions? Nigeria is in this predicament of insecurity because of religious fundamentalism...I have never seen you people create threads on how to defeat bokoharam, but only create threads in pushing the same religious fundamentalism that bokoharam stands for. |
Islam › Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by dederocs(m): 12:35pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Wallade: No one is telling you how and when to wear hijab. It is your thing and your decision to wear it.
You can wear it at home or wherever, however, in school, especially schools that have uniform. They have dress code in that school and if hijab is not allowed on their dress code then that is the schools rule.
If your children must wear hijab to school then I suggest you should choose a school that allows the use of Hijab as a dress code.
Don't create problem and challenges where there is no problem. Imagine if everyone start wearing different headgear in the name of religions...we have hundreds of religions...how will the school look? Sometimes religion makes people shortsighted. |
Islam › Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by dederocs(m): 12:30pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY: The school is not independent of the Nigerian constitution which allows freedom of dressing.
If the child’s parents chose to let their child wrap her head with a clothe, what exactly are you crying about for? Why are you against it? The school has its own rules, uniform and modus operandi, why don't you take your kid to an Islamic school? Primitive character Nd behaviour has never benefitted anyone. Tell me the benefit of this your thread, except pushing religious fundamentalism. Are you from Arabia? This is africa, stop all this, focus on progressive things and innovation, how can a grown man be pushing primitive stuff, this religion people have been practising it before we were born, it's made by men, they are motives behind it, enlighten yourself, and be free. |
