bighorlus:Are you a security expert? Do you know more than the police? I repeat it's better you are delayed by police than to be kidnapped. |
LilX2:If you can't read go primary school... |
Moral of the story...don't be a rabid head. |
marlow1962:Is it not better for police to delay your time, than for kidnappers to hold you? |
AdolfHitlerxXx:No mind them, stop and search happens everywhere, it is very important in a country like Nigeria where kidnapping is rampant, stop and search is very effective against kidnapping and armed robberies. Lagos state police must mount stop and search on all entry points into Lagos, including the lagoon, bush paths and ghetto routes. It's better for police to delay your time conducting stop and search than for kidnappers to hold you...I am sure they agree to this. |
Lamasta:That is why Lagos police is active, so it doesn't become another Kwara. Of course threatening with firearm is excessive, and officers can be reported to superior authority, as we have seen officers been dismissed. But policing is important for a big mega city like Lagos. Most of those against police have something to hide, the ignorant innocent people should not set themselves up with their choices and opinions. Stop and search is still one of the biggest deterrence to kidnappers and armed robbers, but the police must do their search professionally, search for firearms or suspicious items. A state can not become unsafe because of the opinions of a few misguided people. |
Exousiang01:not everyone has a slave or stooge mentality. I clearly told you that I don't care about the position, it is ceremonial, since it's not constitutional... comprehension should be easy. The position is inconsequential to me, my issue is she trying to export it to other geographic zones, it is a yoruba word, alien to others...the title has no meaning to me. |
Young lady speak out and save your life. A people own the state, not the political class or religious leaders. Do not trust anyone, watch their actions. |
What is the benefit of Iyaloja to local communities? |
Can anyone show me in the constitution where this power lies? |
Exousiang01:Restrict it to the states that wants it, without the president, she won't have energy to do what she is doing, she can only do that because her dad is the president. I repeat she has no powers under the constitution to interfere in market issues, this is a democracy we coexist via a constitution. If you don't have anything to say move on. I don't have any interest in the title, it's a Yoruba word, and should be restricted to states and people who want it, I don't have any interest or business to look it up. Nobody is saying she can't have whatever group or position she likes to ascribe to herself, but she can't be going round provoking people, nobody cares about her title we care about the constitution...in a democracy you can't go beyond your previledges provided to you by the constitution, the constitution does not give her the title, this is my point, she is only causing confusion and animosity with this unnecessary movements. She should focus on useful things, a people have their culture. We are not the same, if you accept shit shoved down your throat not everybody is you, our tribes are different, our thinking are different, only thing that brought us together is the constitution, which we must follow... otherwise it's chaos. |
Comply with police as long as they are genuine, you are not to say if a stop and search is illegal. Police have no right to check your phone unless you are being investigated, but comply with police, stop and search is necessary for safe communities. |
OneCandleAway:By their fruits ye know them. A spiritual person has mind on spiritual things, speaking out the obvious is not judging, stop misleading people. A pastor has no business dressing that way. |
This Iyaloja of a thing, is it in our constitution? What is the benefit of Iyaloja to communities and our society? Under what power or authority is the President daughter jumping up and down interfering with local markets issues, this is under the purview of the local government authorities. This is an embarrassment to the president, I mean the constitution is clear, the president's children have no role under our constitution, they have no powers. The president should stop tarnishing his image, and building resentment against his 2027 aspirations by calling her to order. A people that value their culture takes it very seriously, it is the most important thing to them. A people have their culture, and traditions, especially cultures like Benin that have existed for thousands of years, even before the British nation that colonised this entity came into existence, how does a young lady think she can overturn that, just because her dad is the president...she needs to focus on charity work, and stop provoking people by forcing alien culture on them. All she has managed to do, is build resentment against her father's reelection among the Edo people. |
Sometimes our nonchalance is what cost us, be vigilant, if you see something, say something, security is everyone's business. Being vigilant helps, CCTV, alarm systems and many more suggestions on this website link very useful. |
WebKraft:They need to stop this sharia and put their human resources to work. |
Bandits are cowards, those people negotiating with bandits are compromised, they have sentiments for the bandits, due to their religious affiliation. I pray we use our sense and understand that jihadists use religion as a ploy and front to deceive the moderates, their aim is to control humans like sheep, create a place where they can put their narcissistic evil barbaric tendencies to use. Do not be sentimental to killers and hoodlums because you share same religious ideology, it's evil. |
fuckJones:Too civilised to support barbarians. Tell em. |
rottennaija:Stop quoting me to say nonsense. Hate is a disease it destroys the bearer slowly |
Lagos is trying, other state governors are too dull |
Arnold1:It is a coastal state, google bight of Benin, the Benin Kingdom used this stretch of water to connect to other southern states from Benin, even down to Dahomey trading. Genz a little history could have helped you folks, the sad thing is that you people state fallacy with such conviction, confusing the unlearned kids out there . Google bight of Benin.https://www.britannica.com/place/Bight-of-Benin |
Very good |
She definitely will get a lot of response |
Adams with a very fancy horse and carriage, which translates to luxury vehicle these days ![]() |
Son scooped the hot one |
mariovito:I wonder too, and we have police stations in every ward in Nigeria, those police officers are supposed to be gathering intelligence. |
It's jihad, that's why they are silent, the people must resist this conspiracy or perish. |
Obi is acting like a tribal bigots, always rushing to whip tribal sentiments...what is special about the traders? Lagos state government makes and enforce its laws, Obi must stop these nonsense. |
Obi stop incitement in order to score cheap political points. A governor has the right to sanitise his state, you are provoking the state governor, by always coming here to condemn it's legitimate actions. |
bjdon:Benin empire opened up the entire southern Nigeria, Lagos inclusive, it's different, it was an empire state 2000 years ago, when the Caucasians and jews were still slaves to the Romans, before the birth of Jesus. |
