Bros you seem to have forgotten a military personnel was kidnapped and murdered at Oshodi not so long ago (apologies to his friends and family for using this example).

In Nigeria at the moment, everyone is seeking self-preservation and self-protection.

No go form Batman o!

VaselineCrew:
Just got home and everyone here is telling me the same thing, thankfully the conductors punch to my face was weak sauce, and I didn’t get stabbed, but sigh.

How long are we supposed to adapt to lawlessness?

How long my brother?

No repercussions for anything in this Naija. Even the mass killing that occur, have you ever seen a court case whereby those responsible are being held to account?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Dedynast: 8:19am On Nov 30, 2021
Ahhh....

VaselineCrew:
Got in a fight with a danfo guy today

Punched him, while his conductor punched me back.

What happened? He ran the red light and was insulting me on top.

Gosh, such a lawless society we live in, I couldn’t take it anymore.

Of course I know I need to calm down cause something bad might have happened to me as the driver was already reaching for scissors, but I was just sooo angry

Why are we so lawless in Naija?

Why? God why?

I wish I had a gun, I would have shot him instantly
HealthRe: Does Over Stress Or Not Having Sex For Too Long Cause Erectile Dysfunction? by Dedynast: 4:55pm On Nov 28, 2021
DamnnNiggarr,

This here makes sense.
However, I think you're over thinking what the doctor said.
Stress definitely affects libido and I feel his reference to long abstinence is not about ED but because of the tension it would create between you and madam, thereby subjecting you to "more stress to perform".
Just relax for a couple of days and you'd be fine. Try to create other avenues for you and madam to get closer - go out, do fun stuff, create intimacy and reestablish emotional connection and before you know it, "Oga at the top" wouldn't feel so pressured to perform.

boobsdik:
smiley

I don't think so; over stress will definitely make you tired and stop you from performing well(this is bodily). But emotional stress (overstress/depression) can surely cause ED.

Then but taking your mind off sex for a long time and concentrating to suppress your libido will definitely cause Erectile Dysfunction. You never appreciate what you have until you lose it. angry

My first trip today at around 8:00 am. Accepted request, picked her up at Atimbo, Unical as destination. After ending the trip and bill was #700, she asked me to give her few minutes to just pick an item at her department and return her to PU point. I went offline to Wait for her, after like 8 minutes I called her and she requested I send my account details to her to transfer the fund. I did that and went online immediately. I got another request and left. Till now, she has not paid and had rejected my calls for more than 50 times. Pure wickedness

You said "No"... No be recessive Hoodlum driver trait be this?

I come in peace o!

Barbiturate:
I'll just like to drop this for those with tinted glass.

My back seat glass and the back glass are tinted. Police usually stop me because of it and I tell them that it's a new car and it came from abroad like that and when it came, I went to do the permit but I was told that they've stopped giving permit for tinted glass.

So I was at Agege( around the bridge) and I was stopped by a police officer with gun. I stopped and he checked my boot, licence and papers. All intact. Then he asked for the tint permit, I told him what I explained above. He insisted that they still issue it and later he said I would go to their office. I drove there with him. We got there and he called me aside and said I should settle him and go, but i refused. Told him that I would like us to go to the office cos that's the reason he brought me here.

Later the officer in the office came out and asked what happened. We explained and he went to my car and said the tint is fake. He collected all my papers, licence and keys. I stood there confused. He said I'll write statement and go to court. Then I called someone(DPO in Abj) who said I should seek to see the DPO. Anything he says, I should let him know. Got to his office and explained everything. He said I should go and call the officer. The man refused to follow me( the other officer that came out) He said he wasn't the one that arrested me on the road. So I went to the officer that arrested me on the road and told him the DPO wants to see him. He said; Ha! So you went to see the DPO, but I was looking for you to give you your papers, licence and keys. I didn't say anything.

Finally, we got to the DPO's office. He explained himself and I did same. The DPO shouted at him and told him to go give me my papers, licence and keys and let me go immediately.

My advice: Don't settle them for tinted glass if you got your car after they stopped giving permit. They know it's a crime to hold you for it. Just seek to see the DPO......but do it codedly.

The officer later asked me if I could drop him at the bus stop I picked him. I said No, and I drove off.

I can see he has started explaining how he's still struggling up there. But just two pages back, he was trying to let me know he was a big boy and I shouldn't think I have arrived because I started a business; something I never assumed or said.

Kanuisagoat owns his car. You own your car/cars. Baz001 owns his car. Ghost1994 did HP, and owns one. Chucsmoore once was here, he owned his car. This list is endless.

I have never for once seen them calling themselves big boys. They drive and encouraged people here. These are productive friends everyone should have closely, and not someone that looks for a close Coca-Cola shop to gist.

No wonder despite his Nobel laureate experience on Uber, he was at ICM on a Monday morning by 10 am to look for trip. I am not surprised again when I saw him resuscitate his deleted Uber driver app. I don't think Big boys with 3 cars would be looking for a deleted app to start again.

I hope he respects himself henceforth and keep me out his fingers.

I no dey sell Coca-Cola, so I no wan gist with am.

My experience with a bribe seeking police man in oshodi, immediately after LASTMA office.

I was flagged down and without excitation, I pulled over. Officer walked up to me and asked for my documents... I told him "I am uber driver that I can't go online if any of my papers is invalid ". Officer turned deaf ears.
He demanded to see my drivers licence, vehicle licence, road worthiness and insurance. He checked everything and they were all valid.

Now, officer, demanded to see my Allocation of Number plate......I replied him to use his gadget to check if the plate number is valid or not
He demanded to see my CMR. I asked him what CMR is. He said central motor bla bla bla. I told him i have given him all he needed to see and asked him if he was a VIO and why was doing VIO job.
He replied by asking me if I wanted to teach him his job.
I knew all he wanted was money and I didn't have time and money to give.

I jejely reverse dand drove off.
Though, I left my papers with him...they are photocopies

Na joke I dy o! Abeg hide ya wheel spanner.

Felicity001:
Haha haha haha haha... This one burst my brain grin

Some of your riders deserve worst...

I don't do excess luggage, if your luggage is not handy sorry is your 2nd name. Even airways charges for excess luggage, danfo and Inter state transporters charge for excess luggage.

Now, you're not paying me for that yet you still want me to help you load it inside my boot? Pray it's not raining if not the rain go beat u tire because I won't even carry you unless you agree to pay an extra 2k depending on the distance because too many riders and excess luggage increases load on the car thereby higher fuel to power the car to yoir destination and more weight on the car components like shocks, bushings, tyriod, bolt joint etc...

Now, let me share two experiences within these little period of my break from here while i keep reading to catch up with the thread.

Was somewhere around Allen on Wednesday when i got this resq
The lady called to inform me I was picking up her mum from ibtc bank... I was just a block away so I quickly arrived, parked while waiting for the woman to come out believing she was inside.

Next thing, phine rang...
Mother: where are you na I've been waiting for u since (with a very loud, authoritative, commanding and annoying tone)
Me: still trying to be cool by trying to salute
Mother: where r you, I'm in a hurry and I'm at ibtc pensions, where are you? You're delaying me, whats wrong with you? Bla bla bla...
Me: madam will you shout up and address me with respect, by the way why are you shouting? Do you know me b4? In fact bye.

I hanged up and cancelled the trip immediately as it as already gotten to paid wait time.

Daughter called few minutes later to confirm if I'd picked her up, sorry you provided the wrong addi and ur mum was sounding too rude... Request again for her with the right addi... Like she knows the kinda of mum she has she didn't even wait for me to finish she just hanged up.

Me, what's my own, I've satisfied my mind.

About 30min later, a lady called narrating how I was to pick up a woman from her office and how the said woman left an item behind. Begging for her contact.

Me I've already deleted the text mgs containing the number the daughter sent b4, asked her to call back since I've to trace back to find any of the contacts....

CASE 2
Last night I was somewhere in chevron drive seriously looking for a trip back home, luckily got one to oniru...

After drop off I got another to MMAI and was happy not knowing it won't end well.

Rider put in the wrong address yet was still claiming right and saying she input the her street, okay is your street of fadojo street around oniru palace, yes but you're supposed to be here... A man voice took over and instead of the idiot to talk to me like a fellow man with sense he was even saying worst than the woman... How sad I never knew women are more smarter than some dic.k head men... Next thing the idiot called me Stu.pid...
Me hoodlum driver na him U dey call Stu.pid... Ur own don finish...

I told him sorry sir, got the right street address which was about 500m away... Called him to come out... The idiot was bolf enough to come out with his ugly gf.... By then i was sitting on top my boot with my wheel spinal on my hands. As the came out...

Me: you're so so and so person right? My rider?
The lady responded, yes! Was about shouting I quickly cut her off...
Me: who was the guy on the phone.
The guy answered it me, this time with a cool voice after seeing my tuch appearance and my ride...

So na I be the fool dey call ur papa, ur generation stupid abi? I reviewed my wheel spinal from behind my back where I was hiding it... Walking towards him... Omo na so the girl stepped back the guy too took 2stepz back quickly too...

Me: ogun go kill you for calling me stupid, devil punish that ur black lips... Fo.ol! Next time try am again.

I entered my car zoomed off!

Both of them where frozen didn't even say a single word.

Case 3...

Check this out, you have 4 cars on the platform delivering 25k weekly that is 100k per week, as a business man you are not putting your home expenses on it. Per month you have 400k steady and you have up to par cars no weekly wahala.

So according to Dru he only run services and not major repair in 6 months that is 2.4milla. servicing and the minor repairs coat him 300k for the six months on all his cars that is a balance of 2.1milla left.

So as a business man he his making more profit.
Eskiss me sir... Please let's do the analysis end-to-end.

To have 4 corolla cars on the platforms , that's an investment of N10m Sir. So it means you invested 10m and you make 400k monthly.

IFSHR:
How much the driver makes with a car on rental is not the business of the car owner.. the problem is not the earning, the problem is the contract details used, and the man management prowess of the car owner....

The average car owner don't know anything about the business, and their failure starts from asking for just any rental agreement contract, they modify the name and validate the contract without personalising it to fit their preference and what they are offering..imagine a landlord in VGC using same tenancy agreement with a landlord in Akute e.t.c. Your rental agreement must represent the current economy and projected economy of the business (if not you will complain and cry every-time)

Secondly, Rental implies giving out/transfering possession of a particular thing (not ownership) to a second party for use in return for an agreed fee, termed rental fee) the returns generated from the use of the item is basically the rentee largese and by law in return he is expected to pay the agreed rental fee to the renter .... So whether the rentee makes more than the rental fee that's his gain and if the rentee makes less than it, definitely his loss, anything other than this is just individual play of give and take. For instance: you rent out a house and the company makes a lot of money and you feel cheated, the legal thing to do is to activate the part of the contract which states the rental fee is open to renegotiation, but the question is how many of this rental contract have such provision (none that I have seen)

Thirdly, under rental especially for an item that has depreciating or appreciating attribute there must always be a well stated plan of action, when it comes to maintenance and repairs, most of the rental agreement just indicate repairs and maintenance to be handled by owner (wrong move) some indicate that repairs below or above this amount (wrong move). Imagine renting a house and your bulb gets spoilt and you start disturbing your landlord (?). For car , there are two type of cost ...running cost and repair cost....running cost such as fueling, servicing, buying of battery, electrical fault ought to be handled by the driver, why repairs such as engine related, gear related and other high end expenses should be handled by the renter (ownership is not transferred)

Renter (car owner) have every right to review his rental fee, very legal, that can be done reviewing the current earning possiblity, the current repair expenses, and you draw up your contract and table your offer to the rentee (driver) it's left for him to accept, reject or counter offer. (simple).

Lastly, the man management skill, if you don't possess it, you have no business investing in this nature of business... You must be ready to hire, review, fire, and inspect....lack in any of those areas and you will cry bitterly...

I will restate my point, any amount the driver makes out of the car is never the business of the car owner....if you want most of the earning to be yours as the owner, then what you have to do is employ drivers (I moove)
I love this. You've spoken the truth. Many owners do not personalize their contracts. As a matter of fact, many owners do not have a basic understanding of this business. They "dive" in only because they hear there's profit to be made.
