I have a friend who is now in Germany ��since July, her interview was October 2021and they demand for her passport on 1week of May 2022, and another of my friend is going next week by God grace, see you need to call as many times as u can.Even ask your husband to call them too, but make I ask you this question ooo, is ur husband a German man or a black man, because sometimes they don't like giving Nigeria ladies or guys visa once their spouse is a German, because they believe your marriage to her or him is because of the visa.

I never received verification complete mail but my spouse already had his appointment.
I don't know what's going on

has ur lawyer visited you, have they contacted your husband in Germany, if u have gone through all this process, pls kindly ask your husband to call the embassy and text them too , and u need to call embassy too to know the situation of things.

Well, they just wrote my wife yesterday to bring her passport and travel insurance, so she will be going on Monday to drop it. So yes, they are still answering people, and be encouraged, yours is almost coming to an end

Like some information from anyone that experienced the same during their visa application.. started my process in November lawyer came in January on 28 of March I got an email to submit a New passport carrying my husband name, waec and a new age declaration but wasn’t asked to submit TI or travel dates pls will I be contacted to submit them or the visa will just be granted on the passport and also they haven’t contacted my husband pls can someone help me don’t know what’s going on and why it’s taking so much though I have submitted the passport..

And also is it possible for them to grant me the visa without contacting my husband??

But, it is possible you already submitted insurance or your spouse had included you in his/ her policy.. nothing to bother in my opinion.. Embassy can reject a visa directly via mail..

Please I'd like a response on this if anyone knows. Will they explicitly ask for insurance and date or do you just add those when asked to submit passport?

Good morning. Please does the embassy give a timeframe when they ask you to submit your passport? Like "send it between now and June"?
Has anybody been told this?

You shouldn't have called him, at least not yet. Verification complete email should be coming in from month end to April. My friend is waiting too.

I think they'll still ask for verification fee at the embassy in Nigeria. This covers not just your marriage verification but schools, family, other affidavits etc

****I went to my city office to enquire about this when I wanted to register my marriage, I realize that it will just change my status from single to married and wont give my wife visa.
Firstly, I was asked to submit original marriage certificate, and it will be with them for atleast 6 months
The fee vary between city, in my city it is 1300 euro

Did your city office notify lagos embassy to send a lawyer for the verification in Nigeria? Because that's what my husband's city office intends to do. The difference is we are doing this in advance while we wait for the long appointment date.
My worry is, will lagos embassy still demand N150k verification fee from me again? Because this verification will still be conducted by them after my husband has paid in his German city.

Lawyer came in November and I haven't heard from the embassy either. So frustrating.

It is okay to go with your same passport and also okay to keep your maiden name for your application. The only complication that might arise is if you have used your new name on any document you will present at the embassy. If that's the case, it'll also make sense to already swear an affidavit that you are the same person that bears the two names. You can then submit this along with your application.

For the verification fee, provided you are submitting the application alongside your own, a single fee covers both applications

Please I have a couple questions. I have an interview next month but I registered with my maiden name as it is the same in my passport. I have since done a change of name but I'm yet to make a new passport as I have 2 years left on it. Will this be a problem? Also do you pay the 150k verification fee for infants as well?

Lastly, I missed the deadline for the last A1 exam registration so I'm set to write in November, do I tell them before or during the interview? I'll appreciate a response pls
