Consistency is the key to popularity

If you are doing something and you wish to be famous, popular or well-known in that thing, then you need to be consistent in doing it. You need to keep doing it. Irrespective of what's happening to you, irrespective of what people say, irrespective of whatever...... you need to keep doing it.

You might be faced with obstacles, but do not stop being consistent cos consistency is the only key to popularity, it is the only door that leads to fame, it is the only entrance to wealth (even in business you can't do a product the first time, sell it and decide to stop producing that product; NO- you need to continue then people will start knowing of the existence of that product)

If you think it can't work out for you, you are deceiving yourself. It has worked for people, it is working for people and it will always work for people.

Mark Angel started comedy in 2012, he became famous and well-known in Nigeria in the year 2015/2016 and that is a period of 3 - 4 years, presently he is one of the most viewed African comedian on social media.

Toyin Abraham started acting in they year 2003, she rose to stardom in 2014, that's a period of 11 years. Consistency helped her. In 2016, she made over N75m from a single movie - that's is because she never quitted acting even when she was playing some irresponsible roles in movies and things were not good enough.

The brave warrior and his intelligent wife


Once upon a time , there was a warrior. He fought many battles with many nations and won. Due to his mights, wins and no loss, he was regarded as the Hercules of that time. He fought with many great nations and won without help from any other soldier of his clan.
Them it came to a time, his enemies were ready to exhaust their last breath just to have victory over him. So in order to do that, all his enemies form an alliance against him. After his enemies already converged at the battle ground, they sent message to him that
'We are already at the battle ground we are waiting for you to come and show your prowess as usual.'
When they sent the message to him, he galdly read and thought it was just a normal battle and he will win as usual.
Immediately he started dressing up and getting ready to go for the battle. His wife saw him and she asked if he is going for another battle and he said yes. His wife then went further and said to him
'Let me go with you this time around , you know I have been asking for this from you all this while'
He said 'no don't follow me you're just a woman , you know nothing as regards battling , if you follow me you might get wounded and you know that I don't want anything to happen to you '
The wife kept troubling him to follow him to the battle field but he didn't concur so the woman stopped asking and didn't utter a word.
The man left home for the battle field and as he was going his wife was silently and cautiously walking behind him until they got to the battle field , the man didn't know his wife was around and so that she won't be seen by her husband she hid herself amidst the enemies.
As the man got there , he was terrified after seeing battalions of soldiers , he became perplexed thought that was the end for him and he started staggering. As he was staggering the wife knew something is wrong, in order to save her husband she started shouting and praising her husband from the midst of the enemies and was going to where her husband was saying
'Yes my husband keep staggering , (stagger, stagger, stagger)
The way you staggered and killed thousands (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered and killed millions (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered and killed the strongest king on earth (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered and collected his throne (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered in front of my bad parents (stagger, stagger, stagger )
And forced them to release my hand in marriage for you (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered from birth and even the maidens were frightened (stagger, stagger, stagger )
The way you staggered in front of that good king (stagger, stagger, stagger )
And help him fought his greatest battle (stagger, stagger, stagger ).........
As she was singing her husband's enemies became afraid and fear was written over their faces, and due to this, they all started running away from the battle field and some even dropped their weapons in order to run faster and by the time she would reach where here husband was , they all are gone . Immediately all of them were gone, the husband stopped staggering and was surprised that his wife could help him.
He thanked her and they both pack all the weapons which the enemies left behind and went home.

One day a six floors shopping complex was under attack and the people there were kept as hostages, fortunately for some people the attackers started attacking from the first floor and there was no way for people to escape except those that were able to jump through the window or through the corridors in the other floors.
In the second floor there was a father and his son, the father was filled with the fear of being held as hostage so he sought for a way through which him and his son would be save. He came about a plan which is that he and his son are going to jump down the balcony of the second floor .
He told his son who was afraid and scared and didn't want to do such then the father said
'I will be the first to jump down then I will stretch forth my arms for you to jump into '
The son became calm with that and he agreed. The father jumped as planned while the son also jumped but unfortunately instead of the father to stretch his arm for the son to jump in he didn't and he left the son who fell on the floor and broke his arm. He was taken to the hospital and after he was treated he asked his dad
'Daddy why did you did that? You don't need to lie cos I saw you when you dodged your arm so that I won't fall into it as you've earlier told me ..........and that means you hate me....Dad why?'
Then the father replied and said
'I do not hate you, I only taught you to trust no one........ Anyone can betray your parent, siblings, spouse, relative and anyone can betray you ........ That is why you need to trust no one '

Most times I wondered why most of talented people in Nigeria live in poverty but I got an answer to my question when I came about EXECUTE YOUR TALENT. One fact about majority of talented celebrities in Nigeria is that they didn't just discover their talent, they execute it.

When you execute your talent, through that you make it useful and when you make your talent useful, success is at the corner. If you execute your talent there may be some ups and downs but at the end it's all going to result in success.

Don't just discover your talent, execute it. Don't wait for divine miracle or opportunity before you start making use of your talent cos one fact about talent and opportunity is that opportunities come when you yourself showcase your talent to the world.

No matter how weird it is make it known,showcase it, execute it. Be it singing, dancing, acting, arting, running, skating,... Whatever it may be showcase, let people known about it. Are you a writer, can you just look at a small thing and form thousands of words about it showcase it, don't say language is a barrier, even if your English speaking is barbaric showcase one day or some day opportunity(s) will come and it will look like a dream when success starts chasing you.


DON'T JUST DISCOVER YOUR TALENT, EXECUTE IT. MAKE IT USEFUL!!!

Pleasing people when you yourself is aren't please with your life

That's a boring life

When you do things that favour no one except you, that is selfishness
Take Nigerian politics for example, because they want to get to power , they do things that favour only them and not others, that is why most of them do suffer at old age, most of them having dangerous disease and some other problems which is KARMA
Also most if these yahoo boys/fraudsters you see them dying at young age or some even running mad at thirties and forties that is what karma
So whatever you do that discomfort others will one day be your own source of sorrow.
