Mid Nigerian??

Those of the comments here are exactly the reason I do not pray for Nigeria again. A reasonable citizen chose to let these set of empowered youth know that if they took an action, like walking out of a match in protest of bad governance, they would at least get the attention of the world and they are busy insulting him. This is exactly why this country can't change. We the citizens are the problem. We are too divided in our opinion as to what a good government should be.

I have a customer who got his Austrian citizenship in April. He came back and was gisting me of what the benefits are of being a citizen of that country.

Trust me this man attacking these youth in this video may not need to work again if he's an Austrian citizen. All he needs to do is to get a wife and start producing kids and the government would pay him a stipulated amount every month just for having kids until they turn 18. plus other benefits.

Men its so sad that as a tax paying Nigerian citizen I cannot think of 1 benefit that I can approach the government for. Sad!

Reminds me of a story my driver told me recently; in the early 2000's, in Kano, a woman was seen cleaning her child's buttocks with an Arabic newspaper. The person that saw her went to the mosque and swore that it was the quran she used. After Maghrib na so them gather they march go her house. The woman was hinted and took off before they could get to the house. Her husband unfortunately, was on his way from work and got home to meet the rampaging beleivers..... he was not lucky. He was beheaded on the spot with his head put on a stick and paraded all night as they celebrated their conquest.

For my driver that was the last score he sought out finding peace from another religion.

If the tiv people and the rest Taraba citizens are enjoying themselves being killed, who am I to weep for them. Someone said the other time that rice farmers did not get approval before going to their farms and that was the reason they were killed. I'm not Tiv ooo but I disagree with you when you say they are weak. I am quite sure that more Fulani have died by the hands of Tiv's than Tiv's have died by the hands of Fulani within the last 10 years. The reason for your own view is because the press have refused to carry news that bears out the fulani casualties, for reasons best known to them

Please, help me to help a friend.

I have tried everything possible within my capacity to help this guy but to no avail.
My friend is 22 and currently in one of the federal polytechnic here in Nigeria. This guy can speak good english well but the problem is he can not read nor write, the only thing he can write down is his name and Reg. No.

Last year, before first semester exam. I noticed that this guy is always avoiding conversation that involves reading or studying. I never saw him read, not even once. We are neighbours and friends.

I just decided to take it upon myself to find out what was wrong as I know, he is a good person but hiding something. So I offered to be helping him with his assignments and handout summary to my amazement the guy find it hard to read what I smartly asked him to. He refused to admit that he can't read, probably he was a shame to admit it, so I let him be.

He, then finally opens up to me about him not been able to read and write. Of course, this was after first semesters exam and I had to perster him before he was able to tell me of his secret. How have you been writing the exam then? I asked, he said "I submit blank paper" when the result came out he had 6 COs (carry overs).

Again, I offered to help. I did all his assignments, encourage him to write something in all his test, He improved on his CA and others except for reading as I told him to at list write some thing down.even if it means coping from someone siting next to him without getting caught, I'm not encouraging exam malpractice but he needed help urgently.

Now here's my major challenge and concern, Since January this year, I have used Queen's Premier, used other English materials, vowel and consonant sound

The only thing he's been able to read are just few two letter words. Thought I was the problem, so I lied to a friend who happens to be a lecturer that the guy needs help, and that he's finding it hard to understand his books. The lecturer agreed to help but later told the guy not to come again as the guy is still not getting any thing.

Please, help.... the guy want to learn but I don't know what exactly could be the problem.

Inputs please, I anticipate your wise advice.

Now if you have been there you would know that before the commission was moved to Jabi it that was the head quarters and their meetings were held outside just like you see in the picture. I don't think Idiagbon house has any room that can hold 40 people comfortably at a time. Also given the current covid 19 situation I do not think Balance has done anything wrong. The boy must have really earned that money oo. I remember my sister's landlord that had boys who were serving him. Omo those boys dey work! No pay for seven years before he settles each of them. The only thing he gave was accommodation and feeding twice a day through out the seven years. One particular one after working for five years decided one a very good day to order 3 meat with his breakfast in the shop. Oga sent him packing ooo. Without any compensation because of 150 naira meat.

Reminds me of a story my dad told us......so my grandfather was a corporal during the civil war and was stationed in Kaduna, his best friend was posted to the war front After 5 months of being at the front, he shows up at the barracks in Zaria very early in the morning and comes to my grandfather's hut( apartment) they sat together and he had breakfast with them. My dad was the one that turned the swallow he ate that morning. After eating breakfast he left saying he had to go home to see his wife as he was going back to Enugu later that evening. I disagree with Afenifere and ohaneze on this one. I believe most of the civilian JTF guys would still be deployed to 7div to execute the war on terror. After all it's the same Afenifere and ohaneze that would still cry foul if the army starts deploying more soldiers of southern extraction to fight the war
