Truly Lagos deserves to be first on the list, right from the first governorship tenure of Fashola, lagos had since been made a place to reckon with even till now, I must say that Lagos is the best still capable of maintain decency and providing the basic amenities despite the population. Eko o ni baje o! But it beats my imagination why I keep reading in the news about ''some state governor'' eating kpomo and cutting fresh fish in the market yet rarely hear of any visible development in their state.

Epic article with facts. Zombies will not like this. Buhari is disconnected with the realities of our time.
Not all Nigeria are fool's,

2012 to 2014 crude oil is $120/$140, this is the year Omokiri is comparing with South Africa.

When your only means of income is down, you have to start looking for other way that is if you find one on time.

What killed Nigeria is Importation of petroleum products an essential commodities for good 16 years of PDP. Yes, no nation can progress depending on importation not talk of petroleum, so essential.

Reno should check this graph from a Germany Bank Deutsche bank, our survival resources is zero the lowest out all.

Buhari should look for a means of stopping importation of petroleum products.

For years I followed our foreign exchange bidding at CBN. How can you explain a nation spending 40% of his Forex on importing petroleum.

Simple mathematics.

GEJ $120 x 2,000,000 = $240 million
PMB $40x 1,400,000 = $56 million

How can we finance importation of fuel and pay subsidies instead of building a refinery 10/8 years ago.

Goke7:
the marketers can never survive without subsidy, that's what has been keeping them in business for so long which also makes them credit worthy to banks, now that subsidy is gone, most of them will wind up soon. Only the major marketers can survive post subsidy regime.

Most Nigerians don't understand this. The only solution to the fuel crisis, is working refineries period.
Help me ask, why can't we build refinery? For how long are we going to be importing what we have just to refine.

When Iraq face with a similar problem, their president have to look for refurbished jet fighter like SU-24 and SU -27 with helicopter KA-50 and MI-28 havoc for air cover against BH, NDA and Fulani terrorists.

OBJ'S first budget was a little over N800billion, now, we are talking of financing a N6trillion budget. The minimum wage as at the time OBJ took over was less than N4000 before he increased it to N7500. Today, it's N18000 and labour are already calling for increase. So bro, times are very different. Nobody, not even OBJ can do any miracle with Nigeria's economy if crude oil prices remain as low as we've seen since last year.
Don't mind them.

Op.

You are a big liar.

As of October 2015, Nigeria's external debt stood at around $10b.
In FACT, $8b to $10 had been the average since 2008, long before Jonathan became president.

Therefore, Jonathan did not increase Nigeria's external debt by any significant amount.

It is on record that the current minister of finance is using Nigeria's very low DEBT to GDP ratio as a justification for seeking more external loans this year.

In your lopsided analysis, selective amnesia didn't allow you mention that OBJ inherited a Nigeria that had completely collapsed economically and politically.

He inherited a mere $3b in reserves and $38b in debt and oil price in the teens.
How did he and NOI do the magic?

Buhari inherited $30b reserves, $10b external debt and he is sulking and whining like a spoilt brat.

Be man enough to call incompetence and failure what it is: INCOMPETENCE and FAILURE.

All of you should go and hide in shame.
Your facts, over 1.3 trillion was for debt servicing in this year budget.

Let see if it will work?, but the problem is we can't meet our import demand of dollar. Crude Oil crash affect all Oil producing nations, Nigeria includes. Nigeria is worst for importing petroleum an essential commodities consume millions of dollar to finance.

Buhari should just look for a way to stop importing petroleum products.

You conveniently forgot to add that the same sw u want to castigate voted yar adua in 2007 and gej in 2011. Are these ones from d south west too? Sw people vote based on convictions and not tribal or religious sentiments. 1999 was BTW falae and obj and dey voted falae cus dey trusted him more Dan obj. Even obj lost his ward and polling unit to falae in DAT election. 2015 was to vote based on performance and precedence and gej had not done enuf to get their votes based on those two factors.
They forget that SW vote Jonathan in 2011 and Vote Buhari in 2015.

If Buhari complete

Ibadan Ilorin road.
Lagos Ibadan express road.
Sagamu Ore express road.
Ilorin Jebba road.
Now ilorin kabba is for Dangote.

2019 is a sure banker for Buhari, we vote Jonathan no single road complete for 4 years in SW.
PoliticsRe: Who Can Defeat Buhari In 2019? by Deen77: 5:40pm On May 22, 2016
southpole:
I think you are wrong, it is the North that has the determining factor because of their numerical strength, high political consciousness and political sophistication. it has been like that right from the first republic. In 1999 when the SW presented Olu Falae and the North presented Obasanjo who won? In 2003 the SW had to drop the idea of presenting their candidate and follow the North and Obasanjo won for the second term. If the SW had presented their own candidate to contest against Buhari in 2015, Buhari could have still won the election. Ask yourself why PDP recently zone its 2019 presidential candidate to the North? because that is the only way of increasing its chances of winning the elections. One important but neglected problem the south has is disunity, it is very common to hear an average southerner saying I am from SW, SE SS but a Northerner will say I am from the North irrespective of whether he is from the NW, SE or NC.
Why you are wrong, with total support for Buhari 2011, SW support for Jonathan change the game. If SW vote Jonathan believe me Buhari we not be president.
PoliticsRe: Who Can Defeat Buhari In 2019? by Deen77: 5:35pm On May 22, 2016
bettercreature:
You can't imagine how popular Buhari is in the north and among south western older citizens, those 2 groups can never vote against Buhari they have 100% trust in him beside he is using that fight against corruption to decieve olders citizens in south-west,imagine during the era of buhari one man's show,he always has over 12 million votes and always win almost all the northern states let alone now that he is enjoying the support of south-west people
Thank but Buhari performance in the next two years will count and believe me Nigeria is going to vote him again.

The only opposition to Buhari 2019 is within the APC that is d primary, that is Tinubu power.

Just wait even with little resources now, this is his first budget, second budget will change Nigeria for good.
