Great News! The kind of development we need to de-conjest our roads which are fast becoming a nightmare when it comes to dealing with traffic. More goods can be transported through rail lines thereby reducing cost of cost. The government should consider a joint venture partnership with foreign companies in establishing a train building assembly line to help boost the railway sector and transfer of technology to Nigeria. ![]() |
We may not have it all but we're getting there. For starters, Election rigging have been death and buried since 2011. We are now able to organize a Free fair and credible elections. Something that has been one of our major problem since independence. Obviously this is a major break-through in Nigeria's history. That's a big step towards democracy if you ask me. However there's still more room for improvement. One major area I think the governments should focus on is training of our security personel on civil duties and the need to be polite and uphold dignity and respect when it comes to dealing with civilians. Some of our Security men especially the Police are lacking civil manners. That's one area I believe we have not been too impressive. We also have a duty to be law abiding and promote good democracy ideals. |
Light situation in my area is better, however more still needs to be done. |

With or without American Support Nigeria has the capacity to tackle Boko Haram. The Americans themselves know that fact. Black Hawk down is still very much fresh in their minds. |

Something terrible is wrong with that Religion. ![]() |
That's why Religion must be separated from the State. Religion, mediocrity and tribalism are the greatest challenges facing this country. Government have no business sponsoring pilgrimage trips. Government have no business building Islamic schools under the guise of Almajiri schools. History will judge Obasanjo for allowing sharia law to be established in some northern states. He failed to uphold the constitution which states that Nigeria is a secular state and hence no form of religious doctrine should be enacted by the state or belong to any form of religious organization. Now we're made to face the consequences of his inaction. It's time we face reality. The government as a matter of responsibility should withdraw Nigeria immediately from that so call Organisation of Islamic Countries. Any move to Islamise Nigeria will fail! |
EkoIle1: [s][/s]And who told you it is cut and paste? Just because you do that doesn't mean everyone else does it. Secondly are we not discussing about Ebola virus? Well... From your comments I already know the kind of person you are. ![]() |
It amazes me to see some people here blaming the Federal Government on the outbreak of Ebola virus in the Country. This goes to show the level of ignorance ravaging Nigerians about the nature of the disease. First of all the person who brought it was a Liberian American, not a Nigerian. Secondly, it was expected that every West African country already battling with the outbreak of Ebola would make sure that no traveller infected with the disease is allowed to travel outside the country. Obviously the Liberian government fail in that regard, and here we are. To set the record straight, am not a medical person. Just a normal person like you. What many of us here should have done is ask intelligent questions. Questions like: 1. What is Ebola virus? 2. What is the microscopic structure of the disease? 3. What are the differences between Ebola and the AIDS virus? 4. Is the virus both animate an in inanimate? 5. Is the virus airborne? 6. What are the relationship between the Ebola virus, dengue fever and lassa fever? These and lots more are some of the questions we should be asking to understand it better. There's a lot more about Ebola virus than the world is ready to dish out to the public. Personally what interest me about this disease is the microscopic structure. The fact that individuals infected with the disease bleed from every part of the body when not treated on time tells me that we are dealing with one of the most tiniest viruses ever. When you consider that fact you would realize that the mode of infection from one person to another may not be only through contact with bodily fluid. I don't know much about that as I said earlier, am not a doctor but am doing my own personal research about other possible mode of transmission. I will advice that rather than blame the government for the outbreak of this disease, we should instead carry out a research to find out more information about it. Research on the history of the disease. More information about this disease will give us all the arsenals we need manage it properly. Remember disease don't kill people. It is ignorance that kills people.

Want to use this medium to congratulate the people of Osun State on their victory at yesterday's elections which was free and fair. The peaceful nature of the poles goes to show that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan is committed to organizing a free and fair elections, not just in Ekiti and Osun state but in every part of the country. I pray that the Governor elect will work hard to develop the state and take it to a higher pedestrial where everyone will be guaranteed good social welfare. Congratulations. ![]() |
APC's desperation is unimaginable. Let's wait for the official Inec results. |
mogentle: So, the game is now different unlike Ekiti.

Noted. |
Rubbish. It's a constitutional responsibility that the vice President takes over as President in the event of the President's resignation, incapacitation, or death. Just don't know what's wrong with these born to rule people. |

Honestly the NYSC scheme renumeration need to be reviewed. A youth copper should be collecting nothing less than #60,000 monthly among other things. Government must not joke with human development. |
