Hi guys.
yesterday evening, I went to buy fuel cos I want to travel in the next few days.
I had quarter tank already. my tank is 62 liters (Benz c230). so I just bought 30k (44.9 Liters) fuel which should add to the quarter I had to full my tank or very very close to full tank.
I bought at Mobil where I usually buy fuel.

Todays' own was late because it was at closing hour. They had closed already and had very few cars inside and they were trying to serve them and close. I had to beg one of the attendants who instructed the security man to open the gate for me.

while he was serving, others who came with gallons and other containers were declined by the guy, he insisted that it's only cars he sells to.

when it got to my turn, I came down and paid 30k using the POS. their price is 668 Naira per liter. I had calculated it earlier, so I expected 44.91liters. The guy served me, I watched the reading on the machine, it counted from 0 naira to 30K, and the liters also moved from 0 to 44.91 liters as I expected. my eyes were all on the reading so I am sure of this.

when I started my car, my fuel gauge moved only to half tank from the quarter I had earlier. I continued driving thinking it will go up. I got to my destination which is just about half a kilometer away. my gauge is still on half tank. at a point I began thinking my fuel gauge is faulty. but if at all it is faulty, why did it move from quarter to half tank?

I am so confused right now. Is it possible that I have been cheated? How possible is this when my eyes were focused on the reading when my car was being fueled. 30k for fuel is a very huge amount in this economy. is it possible I was served only 15Liters instead of 45 liters? do you have experience working in a fueling station?
I feel so angry right now. please advise me.

Times are hard now.
Fueling a car is more expensive than before.
Some friends will want to borrow your car for some stuffs and some of them will fuel it while others will claim to fuel it but will fuel little compared to what they will consume. Someone just brought back my car and he claimed to fuel it, and my guage has dropped from where I left it.

Aside fuel, the cost of maintaining a car now is more than before by far.
Car might have a problem and they'd come and keep it for you like that to repair.

How do you manage these things in these hard times?

Hi guys, I bought a new fuel pump in September. It had issues as its not returning the fuel to the tank. My mechanic advised me to buy a new one. Image below.

Well, I wouldn't totally fault OPay. I got to the very bottom of this one. OPay confirmed everytime I reached then, through all means that they delivered the money to the bank.

So I decided to email the bank (UBA). To get a faster response I copied CBN's complaint email address. It took some time but they replied me and said they have delivered the money to their customer.

I had to reach back to the person (who was still adamant they didn't get the money, despite confirming to them their bank confirmed the receipt of the money) to check their statement.

Someone dropped a screenshot of how to report. Just follow the procedure. I used it.

How do you expect them to make money if the fuel burns at normal rate?
Less visits to the station means lesser revenue for them

Hi everyone.
I drive a benz c230 2006.
Whenever I drive, I get an MPG of 18 to 19MPG.
Three days ago, I gave my friend the car and I sat on the front passenger seat while he drove us. When we checked the MPG on the dashboard, I was surprised to see 27MPG. So I'm curious, I know it'd be the driving pattern. He is a better driver than I am. I have called on him to come to my place to teach me how he's driving.

I want to know how you drive to save fuel. I need to start saving fuel while I drive.

Please why am I getting a very low mpg in my c230 2006?

If I can go back in time, I'd go back to 2021... I'd take my mum to see doctor before diabetes will affect her legs. Unfortunately, one of her legs was amputated above the knee. I still Thank God, it was the better option we had. My mum is still alive, healthy and hearty. She has been unable to walk since then.
Thank God for provision, I got a prosthetic limb for her, I sincerely pray my mum gets to walk again someday soon, my joy will be complete.

For me, I drive a benz c230 2006 which uses a v6 engine, after working on my spark plugs, I am getting 20mpg. I had a scan and it showed that the O2 sensors are also bad, I'm planning to change them soon. Hopefully I get a better mpg cos this fuel price no be for here o

When people give you respect as such, just condition your mind that its because of the maturity in your behaviour.
Eat good food, eat enough carbohydrate, protein and take fruits. Don't forget to add milk to your daily diet. Take enough water every day. Work out if you can. with these, you'd be happy with your self, your skin will glow, you'd look younger and most importantly, your self esteem which was once low will be so high. Trust me, these are things that worked for me. Till date, there's no single day that you won't find me in the gym. Eating good and working out has become my lifestyle.

You have bad spark plugs. I'm sure scanner will jump to knock sensor(misfires). What controls your mpg are 3 things. 1..spark plugs,2 maf sensor,3, catalyst....check those 3.

Thanks man. Took it to the mechanic and we found one of the spark plugs is bad. It's even broken inside the engine. They're trying to remove it and fix a new one. Hopefully, I'd get a good mog after that

Sure. Go to google or ebay. Type the model of your car and year then type 02 sensors.or go to aliexpress andrype the aforementioned. It will bringout a list. Also does your car have catalyst or not. If it does t have catalyst. U will buy fuel like a drunk. If also the 02 sensors are bad. Infact your car will be consuming fuel like mad. Lastly check your spark plugs and maf airflow sensor. To know a good spark plugs that fires. The middle or point of contact will be brown or dirty brown...while pure black means its bad and not firing. When you go to mechanic,tell the mechanic to loose all the plugs and inspect inside the middle.if the middle is black..its dead. If its brown its working. Dont buy tokunbo plugs because all tokunbo plugs are nigerian used .buy brand new platinum plugs.1 is like 1k per 1.

I've read about those things you mentioned. Also, I have a `check engine` light on my dashboard. This points to one of those things you mentioned. Thanks again man. My Brothers atm was stolen some weeks back and over 500k Was withdrawn via a POS with it just few minutes after the arm was stolen. On that same day, just few minutes after the transfer of the 500k, N5100 was transferred to another account.
I am just thinking we if we can be able to catch who the 5100 went to, he should be able to produce the money or bring who sent the money to him and through that we'd get the money back...

Please advice on how we can go with this process.

The debit alert has the following text as a remark which I believe is the description "021701- -532685-T SHARP MONEY 021701 2TGTBTP6 LANG"

So my brother went to his bank to use an ATM, the ATM swallowed his card after several trials. He left the spot and went into his bank to lay a complain. While inside the bank, he received a debit alert of 525K. And it's showing that its from a moniepoint POS. What can he do? How can we get the money back?

He is currently in Nassarawa, it happened there but the debit alert is reading that it was withdrawn in Lagos

So I have a small structure so I decided to start gyming over a month ago. I get good compliments from people saying I've added weight. I feel so happy about myself now.

However, I met a friend of mine today who has not seen me in like a month. I was surprised when he told me that I look shrinked.

As a matter of fact, I checked my weight just yesterday at the gym and I've gained about 5Kg.

I felt bad when he told me that.

Any explanation for this?

I'm thinking my friend might not be feeling fine that is why he's seeing that way😂...
