Heard about it.

Whether you have a bad govt or not most of these churches would succeed in whatever they put focus on. When the likes of Oyedepo, Adeboye, Adeyemi tell you to vote sensibly they aren't doing it because they would go hungry if you vote in useless islamist leaders but they are mostly concerned about the effects on the gospel and the society.

It takes little for an Oyedepo to warm his way around a Buhari and he will have no issues whatsoever. Buhari may detest the Christian gospel but his persecution will not start with the "big men" of christianedom but with that missionary on the streets of zamfara, that little gospel ministry trying to procure a parcel of land in Yobe, the christian sister forced to wear

Lalasticlala
Why are you bothered about them?. Suffer head people will always suffer whether you give them all the gold in Fort Knox or not.

The next 4 years for them will do them like film trick.

God bless Adeboye, Oyedepo and every other Pastor serving God faithfully

Please, I want to ask you my friends to help me answer these questions

"Why did the Imam who hid people in the mosque, hide only people of one faith, which is Christianity?"

"Why did the Imam not have to hide the Muslims and other Traditional worshippers?"

"Why was the Mosque spared seeing that the Churches and other places of worship were burnt to ashes"

"Is it possible to steal a cow more less 300 in one fell swoop without prior experience in cattle rearing seeing that those Berom people are majorly Farmers?"

"Is self help the solution to criminality?"

"How did the attacks identify the religion of the supposed cow thieves to know that they are all Christians?"

I would want to thank the Imam for helping to save the lives of the brethren and pray that his act comes back to him and his generation after him in multiple folds in Jesus name

Abuja and Vegetables
I have interacted with many residents of Abuja but no one has been able to dig the opportunities in the city. It is a city with open market where one can sell vegetables and fruits like brocolli, basil, lettuce, cauliflower, etc.

I had the opportunity of exploring the city very well recently, and I am highly impressed with what I saw.

There are still rural areas in the city where one can get land. And I am of the opinion that it is a place to use nethouse to produce veggie. I am confident about this.

Personally, I am thinking of doing a marketing research for the city. The market is too huge in the city. Most embassies or high commissions are there. Headquarters of most government departments are there too.

There is just one challenge I have there. Doing door to door marketing by a micro scale farmer needs wisdom. How does one gdt the attention of the owner of building with tight securities? There are many restricted areas. Hmmm! I think one needs the experience of a gpod marketer. You may want to talk to a bank marketer. Lol.

If you live in Abuja, why don't you look into nethouse production of vegetables like: lettuce, cauliflower, capsicum, berries, brocolli, habanero, chilli, etc?
This is my second time of commenting on your post. I live in Abuja and can testify to that the market you spoke so highly of. My facilitator actually implements most of your ideas in this post so much that I had to ask him, if he knows you or if he is the one behind your monicker.

He runs a micro farm where he supplies Abuja Shoprite malls and other shopping malls veggies of all kinds from his Greenhouse and open field yet he can't meet up. There is this company from Taraba that supplies Abuja every Thursday veggies that they had to fly them in to keep it fresh.

There are now many people doing veggies in Abuja but they can't seem to satisfy the market. I have also gotten like minds together in a cooperative setting to implement these concepts.

PoliticsRe: Open Letter To Mr President By Rev David Oladipo by Degis(m): 11:04am On May 01, 2018
Revd David Oladipo,

Since open letters are the in thing as well as the now "permissible" means of venting your frustration with Government and its officials, indulge me and let me use this medium to elucidate you on your missive to Buhari.

Firstly, it is trite to say that your letter was more of a celebration of Jonathan and PDP than the repudiation of Buhari because your thinly veiled venom shows that you are insanely clueless about what transpired between 2010 and 2015. I am yet to understand why in your missive you are clueless that stealing is not corruption by line was an excerpt from Justice Dahiru Musdapher's speech, who later became CJN.

Secondly, looking at your photograph, with which you inadvertently decided to punish our eyesight and devour our data, one can safely deduce that you are not a spring chicken but someone who has been around for sometime to have witnessed the disastrous first herdsmenic journey of Buhari, who effectively truncated our democracy and made Nigeria experience her first recession yet you proclaim that you search deep into your spirit to support Buhari and voted him to become President. If I were a member of your Church and read that nonsense drivel, I would have left and dumped your ministry for another because it is risky serving God under the leadership of someone like you

Thirdly, in your bid to genuflect to your deluded spirit, you claim that Buhari has tried in the management of the economy. Pure bollocks!. I hope you remember where Nigeria was coming from in terms of economic indicators such as dollar to naira ratio, GDP to debt ratio, inflation ratio, unemployment ratios etc. You are indeed very shallow in terms of the way the economy has been handled so far.

Fourthly, How many reforms has Buhari introduced that helped in fighting corruption apart from the whistleblower policy which was handed over by the PDP?. Please, just face your church activities and leave politics because it is not your forte
PoliticsRe: Why We Can’t Speak On Shiites’ Travail – MURIC by Degis(m): 3:09am On Apr 27, 2018
MURIC is the creation of Ishaq Oloyede to project Islamic interest and make them national interest. The fellow is blind and dumb to anything that runs contrary to his cause, which the IMN has situated itself. Anyway, since MURIC is inconsequential, obtuse and irrelevant in determining how Nigeria is governed, it is advisable to let them masturbate in peace.

Proudlyngwa:
Unfortunately madam, he was saying the truth.
Like I said in another thread, the problem is most people look at this country from the city perspective.

You need to enter the slums, creeks and deep villages to have another view.

When we have as much as a million people with a wrong view of life, that is a very huge number, unfortunately the number is even more, am a field worker and have been to over 60 riverine communities as well as many communities in the core North and I can tell you we have a bigger problem than the president portrayed.

Identifying the problem is one thing, will power to work on it is another.

Unfortunately but bitterly the president was right.
The President was only right because he is as dumb as you are.

AgricultureRe: Using Micro - Scale Agricultural Systems to Build the Nigerian Economy by Degis(m):
Great Thread by all means, however it would have been better if you tone down the name calling.

Farming requires requisite training and equipment that will make it a pleasure ride. Personally, I feel our leading farms in Nigeria should start to sponsor high tech research in seed genetics, replications and in communicating the results of these research to the farmer at the generic level and not just allowing IITA, FAO, Seed Companies to do it alone.

I identify with what the One Acre Foundation is doing with Vegetable and Fruit farmers in Nigeria which is poised to go a long way in facilitating the training, equipping of our local farmers who were admitted into the project

I will also suggest that farmers look into the concept of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), whose concept involves farmers producing crops specifically for already signed up consumers who may have paid some amount of money upfront. The farmer now grows the required crops to supply to these people thereby reducing the need for loans to farm at the inception of the farming season, it resolves the issue of producing and nobody is buying because the consumer has already been identified and moreso has paid upfront. This concept promotes the use of crop shares.

I believe it is time that our farmers especially the big ones, start to implement sub level drip irrigation farming where drip tapes are buried into the ground using smart machines, then connecting them to water purification plants on farms, thus enabling the farmer to utilise fertigation kits to fertilise large parcels of land without fertilising weeds or waste scarce resources.

It is also time to promote uber like tractor service in Nigeria. We need to have startups who have been financed by venture capitalists to bring technology to mordernise our farming. We can't continue to farm like Cain and Abel of old.

I wince each time I see Indian Technology startups now called AgriTech facilitate the development of Apps, innovations and inventions to help their farmers and seriously their secrets is in the deployment of venture capital to finance their Agriculture. We need the enabling framework to effectively harness this goldmine. It is currently happening in the FinTech industry where Companies like Paystack get funding from YCombinator to deploy their software.

I will recommend www.probityfarms.com to any aspiring farmer to check out their offerings especially their farm diary and activities section. I will be using them to document my farming this year.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo did a lot for the Western region especially in Agriculture but time will fail me to talk about the Farming Estates he developed throughout the Western region. I understand that the current set of Governors are trying to encourage this effort without much success, which may be attributed to the lack of political will to emancipate our people from hunger. We will have to take the bull by the horn to band together to pursue this noble invention by colocating our farms in areas that are economically viable to serve our consumers.

Finally, before you put that seed in the soil, do your market survey, know what your customers need, know your customers, know where they are, know what they want. Why can't you just produce for certain businesses and earn a premium instead of the merciless middlemen at the open markets. If I get 30 restaurants to uptake my veggies and fruits every 2 weeks and deliver at their doorsteps, won't I be better off?

Can we also have people to invest in post harvest technologies?. Anyone doing this will surely smile to the bank. It will be sweeter than farming itself

Training, Training and more Training is the secret. Equipment are next to it, Farming has a business side to it, let your transactions pass through the banks, you will thank me one day however the Customers' need is their King. Don't be caught napping.

NextDayPP:
During my short time as a farmer, I have experimented with both the local way of multiple seeds per hold and the modern one seed per hole, and like you rightly said, one seed per hole is always best when your farm is rainfed from planting to harvest. In this case I didn't wait for the rain and had to do the local multiple seeds per hole to ease watering. That is the reason I made my rows 4 feet's apart, its also why, even though they look green and healthy, I still want to apply some urea.
'If you must crowd your plants, feed them' is a phrase I learned a long time ago.
