GenBuhari:
Anybody can hoist a flag and kill some innocent villagers. It means nothing villages are not a level of government so saying BH captured a village is as meaningless as saying Boko haram has captured a beer parlour.

How BBC get the news before Nigeria news media? Is this not further evidence of the white man's collusion with terrorism in Africa?

I bet there is no mention of the names of the villages, because no villages were captured.

One day you go get sense

There is no use arguing with someone who cannot defend an allegation levied against his religion but turns around to castigate another religion for actions of other people who weren't on killing spree on the basis of religion. Islam as practiced in the Northern part of Nigeria is purely a murderous adventure.

Since the news of allegation against Chief of Army Staff (COAS),Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, I have taken my time to look at the facts, scrutinize them, ask questions and verify the answers. Now let's look at the issues raised therein:

✳️ Did Buratai deny owing the said properties? NO.

✳️ Did Buratai declare them in his assets declaration? YES.

✳️ Did Buratai own the properties alone? NO, he jointly own them with his two wives.

✳️ Are the Buratai's the sole owners of the properties? NO, they are investors.

✳️ According to the facts made available, the properties are like quoted companies. You buy into them and get dividends as profit from your investment. Are public funds involved in the properties? No, the Buratai's used their personal savings to invest.

✳️ Is having a farm - a family business against the law? NO. The 1999 Constitution (as amended) under Fifth Schedule Part 1- permits a public officer to engage in farming.

✳️ Does the farm generate income? YES.

✳️ On the allegations of motor cycles, it has been verified that the rugged buffalo vehicles are not only brand new but they are 2014 model that were imported from Libya.

✳️ Is Buratai a good soldier? YES.

✳️ As COAS, has he succeeded in degrading the dreaded Bokoharam terrorists? YES.

✳️ Did he teach the lawless Shi'ttes a lesson? YES.

✳️ Has Buratai restored the dignity of the Nigerian Army? YES.

✳️ Has Buratai restored pride, bravery and courage of our soldiers? YES.

✳️ Are the sponsors of Bokoharam happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are the enemies of Nigeria happy that Bokoharam is being shown hell? NO.

✳️ Are the Avengers happy? NO.

✳️ Are the economic terrorists happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are the military chiefs who profited from evil insurgency happy with Buratai leadership? NO.

✳️ Are the corrupt elite squad happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are we happy with the job you have done and are still doing? YES

Dear Lt. Gen. Buratai, we are proud of the leadership you have brought to bear in Nigeria Military. So long as no public funds have been traced to you, so long as you declared the assets, so long as you have clarified the whole issue, as you have done, the plans to destabilize the anti terrorism fight will fail.

We that are with you are MORE than those against you. You have our VOTE OF CONFIDENCE. Keep, keeping us safe. Keep doing the excellent job of protecting the territorial integrity of our country. The security and peace of this country is non negotiable. We got your back covered!!Gloria Eluebo Adagbon.@gloria_adagbon.

Unfortunately, the fellow that wrote this and you that shared it, simply forgot to tell us how he raised the money without borrowing and paying in one fell swop. He said savings, but from which job? . This same Army job that paid him 700,000 per month and his snake farm that is majorly recreational in nature along Abuja Keffi express road Abi?.

He lost and they initiated their plans.

If this report is anything to go by, the thief would definitely come with his demands which is likely to include letting Okpolo Eyes

Hausa people are the most dangerous people in this country especially the uneducated ones because they don't value there own lifes talkless of other peoples life, you can call the Yoruba race a coward race but it's not cowardice because a Yoruba woman/man knows how to tolerate other people and in that instance would have allowed the Hausa guys to do there prayers in peace even if he/she happens to be a Bishop or Pastor God does not even ask us to judge for him. we can never fight for God and that's the more reason why I don't judge people or argue about religion. I can argue on politics but when it comes to religion you will never find me there.

So, because the Hausa Fulani people are the most dangerous people in this country they can begin to do and undo abi?. Some of you just yearn saw dust as words.

COSTS, RETURNS AND PROFITABILITY

COSTS : refers to the expected amount you will spend on the farm right from land preparation till the 4th year you will start having meaningful harvest, including the expected cost of processing.

RETURNS: refers to the expected yield in quantity and amount throughout the productive years of the oil palm tree

PROFITABILITY: this does not mean profit but refers to various indices (BCR, IER, PM, MM, NPV, ROI, IRR) to determine if a project is worthwhile or worth investing on...remember a project can have profit but yet not profitable.

I will like you to suggest an acres or hectarage of land you will like me to base the costs, returns and profitability on.

Remember its not all about me alone but about us.

Waiting for your response.

Please, help discuss the ones for about 10 acres

Does he realize unity schools(only schools where quota system applies) form less than 5% of all the secondary schools in the country?

Does he realize that the system was applied to intervene into the cultural and religious peculiarities of some regions which tend to encourage Arabic education over western, and not because of any intellectual superiority or inferiority?

Does he realize that those who do not want to be affected by the QS have the option of attending other non-unity schools which are over 95% of secondary schools?

As usual, his ignorant victims will swallow his bait, hook, line and sinker.

If only you had some measure of sense, you would have known that this Federal Character nonsense applies in all facets of the Nigerian life. Lack of cognitive skills did not also allow you to know that he never alluded to the fact that one ethnic group is superior to another. You better wake up from your slumber. Has all the years Buhari spent on planning on becoming President materialised in any meaningful development till date?. It is obvious that even the first 10 months of Obasanjo, Yar'adua and GEJ recorded better accomplishments than this current administration, which has elevated mediocrity into statecraft and junketing into Governance.

An APC Executive and Legislature controlling party just like PDP days couldn't band together to pull the country out of this end game recession but deem it fit to band together settle petty or childish quarrels

My summation is APC a fraud just like PDP. Our nation must seek a third force. The youths must rise up and stand up to the fact that we must take our country back from these frauds. God help Nigeria

Peace World

1. You can not divorce Islam from this saga because of the conversion of Ese to Islam as evidenced by her wearing hijab or os there now a Christian version of hijab?

2. Antecedents are the onions of intellectual discussions, if you don't want us to blame Islam why is recorded that your prophet Mohammed married an underage girl, if not justified under Islam

3. Did you hear at any time that the girls kidnapped in Lagos were taken for conversion to Christianity or they were made to recant their faith under duress?

4. It seems in your haste to pen down something, nobody accused Dasuki because he is a Muslim neither is anybody shielding Jonathan because he is a Christian

5. The reason Christianity has advanced over the centuries is the ability of Christians to call evil by its name and not hide under the cloak of playing victim when clearly you are the oppressor.

6. Every one you seem to have something against is irretrievably evil in your own bigoted and blighted mind especially if they are Christians.

7. Well, I am pleased to inform you that the behaviors exhibited by the Emir of Kano, Emir of Bida and the Sultan of Sokoto in the various abduction matters have formed a pattern that has made one to suspect a religious slant to these narratives.

8. Is Islam bad?. By all means a Capital No. The truth is every religion has its down side especially in history including Christianity, until you adherents of Islam begin to accept that things have happened before now that must be addressed frontally and without the toga of justifying it then will people want to remove their minds away from the current narratives

9. The Yoruba Muslims read the same Quran that the Northern Muslims read but because of Education they have learnt not to justify evil by not encouraging playing the victim but being a harbinger of humanity and good neighbourliness

10. You want to hear from Yinusa?. But. discountenance what his father said?. Good luck to you in wanting to change the narratives but sorry bro, we are wiser

The OP covered the issue quite well even if he did not mention her status as a minor; it is obvious that your own bigotry is what was clouding your judgement; because if you had paid attention you would have noticed that the OP had effectively covered that aspect in his conclusion by urging the government to investigate and prosecute anyone found to have broken the law (i.e. including Yunusa on allegations of the said rape and abduction of a minor; similarly also the Emir, Sharia Board, the police and any other).
You just need to read with more intelligence.
While at it, pls also judge this youtube video and audio evidence showing the girl protesting against going with the police without her Yunusa as well as her interview claiming to be 17 yrs of age and admitting to voluntarily travelling with him to Kano and converting to Islam respectively.

Politics / Re: Ese Oruru And The Activism Enterprise By Eseoghene Al-faruq Ohwojeheri by Degis(m): 6:01am On Mar 04, 2016
Areolad:

Like it or hate it as I do, the fact remains that activism is dead as a passion and alive and well as a business. The reason solution comes to a problem when it goes public in today’s world is because those who could help will not help except an issue is made into a movie for public spectacle and in such cases helping will add to a certain CV.

When the Ese Oruru’s case broke, Madam Oby Ezekwesilli picked up her phone and was calling Sanusi Lamido and twitting what he said, Ben Murray Bruce started making common sense about it, Punch went to town with sensational “Kano man” abducts “Bayelsa girl”, and of course there was the new cool “I will not rest until Ese is returned back home” all over twitter and facebook; every Nigerian became selfless, concerned and caring. You have to wonder who killed those 4 innocent boys in ALUU over a mere accusation of stealing.

In 2013 we watched the horror of everyday Nigerians murdering a little boy, Samuel, who was just 12. They kicked him, beat him, dragged him on the floor, put a tyre to his neck as he begged, added fuel and set the little boy on fire. Before they killed him they interviewed the little boy, confirmed his age, heard how he had no home, watched him cry for help and swore by God that he was innocent of the charge of stealing 50 naira, beat him even more while he cried “oh my God, my God why” when he realized he was hopeless, amidst cheers and boasting and laughs from men, women, girls and boys, these Nigerians set 12 years old Samuel on fire and continued to beat him with a stick. These category of Nigerians who murder people for as little as an accusation of stealing maggi in the market are all over twitter and facebook lying to the world about how they will not sleep until Ese Oruru returns home. This is because our kindness is scripted for profit, devoid of sincerity, and conditioned on bigotry. I will explain one after the other.

Today the world notes Ese Oruru as a young lady who ran away with a man and got pregnant. Yunusa Dahiru’s name will soon be forgotten, he will be dismissed as a criminal, that’s all. But Ese Oruru is already the subject of ridicule, some have compared her beauty to the beauty of women in the North, her father has told the world she possessed with demons and needs deliverance from TB Joshua, Fani Kayode, speaking from his sleep as usual, has already assured us that Ese is a victim of rape and ritual sex. Would it not have been more Ese-friendly if the same people who “helped” helped with a little less noise? Why can’t the Editors at Punch call up Oby Ezekwesilli who calls up Emir Sanusi Lamido who in turn calls up the Police and the Sharia Council to ensure Ese is returned home? This is exactly what happened except that Madam Oby had to tweet the calls, the Emir had to deny accusations coming from the publicity, and media houses had to also be relevant in the scheme of things afteral papers will not sell without Ese that day. Why must it be so loud if it could be effective and quite? More so when the young lady is the only one to put up with the ridicule, embarrassment, and spotlight at the end of the day. Even when we ask victims of clear cut crimes to speak up despite the stigma, we don’t ask them to use a microphone while doing so and we especially don’t ask others to do so for them because they alone will bear the burden. People simply benefited from Ese’s saga and it’s unfortunate.

There is absolutely no sincerity in making public show out of this kind of help and there was no sincerity in how Punch went about this campaign. Apart from the public show there were blatant lies which points to an effort in sensationalism and commercialization of a little girl’s plight. From the first story itself there was no doubt that Yunusa and Ese had something and the mother knew it. This fact was consciously hidden while the sensation of “Kano man” and “Bayelsa girl” was used. The mother narrates that as soon as she couldn’t see her daughter people told her “the Northerners would have hidden her”. Why? No one asked, not even the journalists at Punch. She goes ahead to say when she checked and didn’t see her daughter she sent her son to “go and ask of Yunusa”. As what? Why Yunusa? No one asked, it was enough for Punch to have discovered what will sell their papers, journalism can wait. The more of a victim Ese was the better. The painful thing is even that anyhow you look at it Ese was already a victim either of victimization from the parents who want to kill her for accepting Islam as she claims or of falling for Yunusa or for going to Kano with Yunusa who was not her husband, father or her brother; there was no need “padding” the victimization except for commerce or/and bigotry. This bigotry is loudest in with the lies peddled by Femi Fani Kayode in his article where he reduced the age of a former undergraduate who is publicly known, Miss Charity Uzoechina from 25 to 13 and referred to the Emir of Kano and Sultan of Sokoto as likely paedophiles. That any responsible news media will publish this poo is still a matter of surprise for sane Nigerians, a category of people Mr. Kayode apparently does not belong to, as this is apparent from his writings to his look and demeanour.

As of now the facts that have come to light include that Ese Oruru went willingly with Yunusa Dahiru to Kano and she claims she did this because she accepted Islam and her parents wanted to kill her. Also we know of fact that there was a relationship between Ese and Yunusa and the father of Yunusa opposed her movement as any father will do and took both of them to the local authorities in Kano. This authority referred it to the Emir of Kano who referred the matter to the Police and the Sharia Council to ensure Ese Oruru was returned to Bayelsa. On the date she was to be returned she broke down crying at the police station and insisted that if she is taken back home she will be murdered by her parents for her chosen faith. On hearing this the Police keeps her in the custody of the local community until investigation is concluded. In the process of this, Punch commercializes the issue and other merchants in the business of activism discovered a profitable venture and that is why Nigerians are on each other’s neck today cursing out each other’s region and religion. This is how the love for money and fame and clear insincerity leads to hatred and violence and at the end religion is blamed.

Stop commercialising Ese Oruru’s case and let the authorities get to the issue. There is a young lady who says she wants to be a Muslim and she also wants to be with a young man and, according to her, her parents want to kill her for this so she rather stays in Kano. There is the parent who say this is not correct and they think she is being forced to say this and that her new faith is due to some hypnosis. The Government should investigate and settle the issue in the family and if in the course of all these anyone broke the law please prosecute in court not on social media and pages of a newspaper. Femi Falana can’t keep “going to court” on every issue that makes news. Let him go to court already. This is not a talk show or a season premiere. A young lady’s life is at stake!

Quite senseless missive. Did you in your own bigotry ever thought that the girl is a minor?.
