SirShymex: My type of thread.
Err, since it's that time of the year for reflections, I think I need to dig up what I wrote three years ago, about what life has taught me. With a few remixes/additions. Still learning - and it's always a learning process.
Life has taught me that it's full of ups and downs. A roller coaster. However, to make it a fulfilled one, you have to enjoy the frills, trills, joy, fear, sorrow etc. that come with it. Make sure you take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way, because an opportunity missed, is one that might never be regained.
Life has taught to always take responsibilities for everything I do. Responsibilities! Responsibilities!! Responsibilities!!! Taking responsibilities make you learn from your mistakes, and enhance how you navigate through life.
Life has taught me to always run my own race and never watch what others are doing because we all have different destines and our reality is different. Never take life too seriously. It's matrix where things develop organically, albeit with a control. So, you have to always create your own reality. And also, the more real/knowledgeable you get, the more unreal everything becomes (words to the great John Lennon for this one).
Life has taught me never to care about money because it comes and goes. But to focus on things money can't buy. And the wealth will come with time and progression. Everything happens for a reason. And the wealth of experience we gain from everything we go through - is what makes us stronger.
Life has taught me to be watchful about trust/love and that, loyalty is sacred. The one you trust the most would be the one to betray you. However, if you ever find anyone that's loyal to you, endeavour to reciprocate the loyalty.
Life has taught me to give and keep giving - and never to expect anything back in return. Reward is divine from the maker and he'll bless you at the right time.
Life has taught me never to hurt women. Women are the givers of life and they can make or break you.
Life has taught me never to take advantage of the weak and vulnerable. Rather help them. They might not be able to fight back, but there's someone up there who would fight for them, at the right time.
Life has taught me to always work smart. It's about the survival of the fittest. However, the "fittest" signifies - the smartest (though it does mean the strongest sometimes). Be smart. Be aware of your surroundings and everything happening around the world since the world is a global village. And take advantage of every opportunity by using your smart/wit. Think before you do anything - the brain can proffer solutions to almost everything.
Life has taught me people come into your life to add, divide, multiple, and/or subtract from who/what you're - till they go. And like my dad always tell me, some friends always come around in disguise like snakes. Faces of angels but evil beneath all the smiles. So, family should always be the priority cos the family bond is one that can never be broken. A bond you'll carry around for a lifetime. Blood of my blood. Bone of my bone. Flesh of my flesh.
Finally, life has taught me that human proposes and God disposes. So you have to always do your best and leave everything in God's hands. And prayers do work. Also, you'll receive whatever energy you give out, and always endeavour to give out positive energy. SirShymex, this is DEEP! I'm astounded. Thanks so much for sharing. Do have yourself a prosperous 2015. |

Herzumpther: Life has taught me that a closed mouth is a closed destiny, its good to always open up.
Life has taught me that its best when you are always yourself, for those that pretend, pretense is the beginning of their doom.
Life has taught me that patience is a virtue.
Life has taught me never to give up.
Life has taught me that you can't be friends with everybody but to those who will appreciate you, forgive when you wrong each other, accept you for who you are and many more.
Life has taught me that even tho I've failed once, I shall rise again.
Life taught me that it takes a minute to change somebody's life.
Life has taught me that God is all and without him I'm useless.
I look forward to a better 2015 by the special grace of God and I thank God for a wonderful 2014. Terrific! Thanks for sharing. |

Lolz. Welcome to the world of DSTV.
Trust me, Multichoice is so complacent cos it kinda enjoys monopoly. In a situation where no particular company is given the exclusive right to air live BPL matches, DSTV will sit up. Personally, I can't count how many times I've watched repeated movies. |

Elantracey: Like my mum has advised me several times its better for a lady to marry someone who loves her to someone she loves but will be best if they love each other because we ladies tend to grow affection more easily when we live with a man than the other way round and guys don't sincerely love easily so if they don't love you from the start it won't be easy to get their love when married no matter how much you love him . Hmmm...for real? |
