Hello everyone, it’s been a while. God bless you all for keeping this thread alive. Congratulations @ninered, @Emmiefadz and everyone who have gotten visa. Am getting set for the visa interview (although it’s still about a month’s time), I have a few questions: First, question 6 on the visa application form asks about “Intended place of stay in Germany”. I don’t know what to write here since I have not been able to get an accommodation yet. Second, question 7 says “Do you intend to maintain your permanent residence outside the Federal Republic of Germany? If yes, where?” I think I should tick the yes box and then say Nigeria. I hope this is in order? Lastly (for now), question 13a says “What are your means of subsistence?” I guess it is okay to just state that I have funded my blocked account. I hope funding the blocked account 3-4 weeks before the interview is not a crime? Question 13b says "Do you have health insurance that covers the Federal Republic of Germany? I don’t know what to write here. I appreciate your answers, thank you. NB: Please anyone at TUM? Let's relate 1 Like 1 Share |

Help please!!! I just got my opening confirmation of blocked account from Fintiba, so I sent mail to book for appointment immediately, only for me to get an immediate reply. My own mail: The German Consulate, Dear Sir/Madam, I write to book an appointment for student visa interview, I have been admitted at the Technical University of Munich in the graduate program Masters of Science in Nutrition and Biomedicine (winter semester 2017/2018) whose enrollment dealine is 17th November 2017. Attached herewith are the letter of admission, opening confirmation of blocked account and my passport data page. I would like to request you to consider my application and grant me an appointment date. Thank you. Yours Sincerely, Their reply: Dear Sir, Please note that the Consulate General is already completely booked out in September. We are therefore unable to grant you an appointment date as the processing time of a student visa takes up to at least 5 weeks. You are welcome to reapply for the next semester. Further enquiries concerning your current letter of admission cannot be answered. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely yours, Visa Section Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Lagos 15, Walter Carrington Crescent Victoria Island, Lagos Federal Republic of Nigeria Then I sent this: Dear Sir, I want to request that you kindly consider my application and grant me an appointment date as the enrollment deadline for the program is November 17th which is a later date than the date written on your website ("...Hence only students with enrolment deadline from November 15th, as well as scholarship holders would get appointment dates.". Thank you for your kind consideration Yours sincerely Please what else should I do? NB: A quick response is highly appreciated, thank you |

Good day all, I just joined this thread 1. Please I will like to know the exact minimum amount to block. I used to think it is #3M (Euros 8000) but as the money is getting close to 3M and I decided to open block account On Fintiba, am seeing 720Euro for 12months (Euros 8640) that will be over 3.5M in the end. I don't know if it's ok to work out a figure that will amount to Euros 8000 for the 12months. 2. Which one is safer, easier and faster, Fintiba or Duetshe bank. Thank you |
