Google has superb Deep Learning Algorithms running on both YouTube and Google itself... With full time Engineers -people with PhD in Machine Learning/Data science and algorithms.

Except in fields like Data Science, Machine/Deep Learning, you cannot compare the maths to Engineering.. Yes, you do crazy maths in CS, but on the same level as engineering? Not exactly


That is why in those fields of computer science I mentioned, if you don't have a degree, you have no chance working on such techs.. .


Bottom line is: except in advanced fields of computer science, you don't actually need crazy maths... But when you do, it's actually on the same scale as engineering (cos it is engineering itself).
