Meanwhile the military authorities have soughed the help of local divers and youths to assist in the search for the missing soldiers.
The same locals that they intimidate and harass just for being indigenes of a locality with the curse called oil.

Goodluck was the President of Nigeria when these cases of polio happened. We just discovered them now because the military under Buhari has finally succeeded in dislodging Boko Haram from those places where they took over from Jonathan.
Do you see Goodluck in your dreams?

The worst is yet to come.

I'm yet to meet a group of adults that can lie so shamelessly like the members of APC.
From President M. Buhari, to El Rufia, to Oshomole, to Lai Mohammed, to Amechi etc, just name them.
And now Kemi! So much for a party of saints led by Mr Intergrity himself.
I feel so ashamed for them.

You'll hear stuffs like "What did he do for his people?".
He didn't even build the road to his village.
Their brother was in Power but he didn't do anything for them.

Why you guys so bothered about who wins.
Are you done with the issues of Nigeria?
Who ever wins there is not likely to stop the fall of the Naira, neither will it stop job losses and recession.
I think we should be focused on Nigeria's numberous problems.

I have never bought rice more than 16k even when it was the highest.. And that is Ibadan.. I don't know where you guys buy yours at 20k. Not saying you are lying though.

Anyhoo, rice is around 13k last week but I predict it will become too cheap before December.
After reading the exciting testimonies here on Nairaland, I told my Aunt who is a trader in Uyo that the price of Rice will soon come down that she should expect at most 13k for the moment and it should be less sooner, but she bought @ 18.5k in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State as at last week. This is N500 more than the last time she bought. But there are brands that are even more expensive than that.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Pastors Always Wear Suits On The Pulpit? by DeKen: 2:19pm On Aug 28, 2016
Looks like some people like making fuss about nothing.

I agree that several pastors do wear suits while preaching, particularly on Sundays. I don't know how this came to be, but it's likely that most are just immitating others. However, wearing of suits is just a matter of choice. Though some churches may give the specification in the name of dressing formal. But I'd never seen the late Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa on suits. And there are several pastors of today that don't necessarily wear suits while preaching. The immediate former CAN president is an example and there are several others.

Maybe you should also ask why native wears are not commonly worn in places of work. I don't think you should be bothered about this.

PoliticsRe: Planned Amphibious Military Training In The Creeks: Ijaw People Cry Out For Help by DeKen: 11:42pm On Aug 25, 2016
Mekwen:
So what effort have you made to stop them if you are not supportive? Your people openly claim to be against it but are supportive underneath .
It keeps surprising me that some people will always conclude that you must be affected or your own people are affected before you speak out against injustice to others. I'm not an Ijaw person. I simply speak against this because it's unfair.

However I've seen threads on Nairaland that talks about efforts of the Ijaws led by Pa Edwin Clarke to restore peace which so far has gotten the nod of the NDA who have unofficially stopped vandalism. I wonder how you will feel to have been among those wrongly accussed by the Nigerian Army for being members of Boko Haram and were locked up for years (likely with torture, poor living conditions and starvation), then later released with a token for N3,000. Those are humans like you and I who had their useful lives wasted by the Nigerian army for no good reason except for the unfortunate situation of living in a Boko Haram ravaged environment. They suffered the attacks and losses of Boko Haram and the Nigerian Army that should have been their saviours turn out to punish them (the victims of Boko Haram) for something they knew nothing about. Even when some of the Northerners initially showed even greater support and even openly jubiliated after the initial attacks by Boko Haram, it doesn't make them deserve the treatment metted out on them except they were caught sabotaging the efforts of the Military. Such would not have been released by the Army like these ones were. So I believe they were innocent people arrested by such sentiments as yours. Too bad. Pray you don't get to fall victim of such too.

What's it with the generalization? I'm not even an Ijaw person. While you are comfortable with the ill treatment of another because of the crime of his kinsmen, pray you don't fall victim of similar circumstance tomorrow.

You people stupidly attached emotional sentiment when nemesis catch up with your devilish act. When your son, brother and father were busy bombing national assets didn't you know it was a matter of time for what you're now ripping now? How can a village hold the whole nation into ransom for selfish reasons? GEJ believe BH was advantage to him to win an election if by his dummy permutation that when northern region remain violence, the election would be on his advantage because the vote will be minimal and south votes would be rigged in his favor except south west where he came and bagged money for Obas and bite his finger at the end.
Buhari came into power having in mind that people security and welfare are his priority but instead of allowing all these to materialize all you could do is to sabotage the economy simply because your brother was defeated and removed from presidency.
From 2009 to 2015 over N800b was pumped into NDDC with nothing to show for it. Jonathan with 6yrs in govt. realized N50tr about 60 % of what about 5 past administration realized from sales of crude oild with no meaningful achievement rather than making few individual sudden billionaire by officially legalize corruption. The most annoying part of them all is the recent revelation by MEND that he's the brain behind attack on pipe line that cripple our economy and this was planned against his defeat to portrays Buhari's government inefficiency.
We are watching patiently to witness calamity that will befall him, the judgment time is here and he will definitely rip what he sows.
That peace accord has been trashed for Nigeria to move forward. He can go and collect the copy from Abdusalam and others that may still stand by the agreement when he did not tell them his devil plan prior to the agreement. Idiot people.
The way kids draw conclusion on here is appalling. So because I point out that mistreating innocent Ijaw people is not right, then I must be an Ijaw person that you refer to as "You people" and you are already adding insult to it. Grow up kid.

Wadeoye:
The Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI) has condemned the Nigerian military's activity in the Niger Delta region, saying that its attacks on the region under the pretense of fighting insurgents amount to "genocide." The group called on the United States, United Nations, and Amnesty International to come to the aid of the people of the Niger Delta.

http://saharareporters.com/2016/08/24/ipdi-warns-military-against-genocide-attacks-niger-delta-creeks

Are these people serious at all? Where were they all these while when Ijaw youths/militants were gunning down security operatives including the military? Where were they when ND militants were bombing national assets thereby throwing the country into economic crisis and millions of Nigerians into darkness?

Do they think international community and those bodies (UN, AI, etc) are not following the events in Nigeria? I doubt if any group or nation will come to the aid of Niger Deltans even if the military launches full war in the region. The region is known by foreigners and followers of events in Nigeria as lawless where all manners of crimes are committed - kidnapping of foreigners, oil theft, vandalism, etc. How will US support a region/people who constitute themselves into an impediment for international business?

I'm still wondering who will take their call seriously huh huh huh huh huh
So if some unknow people in your neighbourhood comit some crime which you know nothing about except that the crime happened in your community, then the law enforcement come and arrest you and your family along with other innocent neighbours just for the sake that you live in the area where the crime was committed, will that be fare?

This is the common scenario/approach the Nigerian police use in the name of investigation/fighting crime. For the police, all the innocent people arrested will be made to pay to bail themselves after the real culprits had gone scot-free. Is this a fare treatment that should be encouraged?

It is easier to say these things when you are not the victim
