Just last month I supervising the onsite registration for a conference organized by one of the bigest professional bodies in the country and someone was there to collect the certificate of participation for a governor who is a member of the body but couldn't make it. The certificate had a mistake on the suffix of the governor and the man came back for correction. Mind you they had filled the registration form online on the portal we provided and mistakenly choose the wrong level of membership which resulted in this wrong suffix. I simply asked for the registration code so that the registration record could be retrieved for correction but the man got upset shouted at me and got spittle all over my face. I was so shocked at the reaction. My desk where I handled corrections and other issues did not even have a queue, neither was he requested to write a letter to request the correction. The outburst was only because it had to do with a governor.

Most Nigerians (especially those with any form of affluence) always want to bypass due process. But you will be so surprised to see these same people respect themselves and behave well when they are in other countries where things are orderly.
