AtlanticC: Malaysia and Indonesia almost have the same language. Malaysia calls their language as Bahasa Malayo or simply “Malay”. Indonesia calls their language as Bahasa Indonesia. Indonesian is a normative form of the Riau (Johor) dialect of the Malay language. Very educative. Is your school a nursery school, primary school, seconday school, vocational school, language school? |

Yes the certificate will be given to you unless otherwise indicated I have not seen the latter. From personal experience this is a 15 minutes process at the address you specified above. I think the most difficult thing is taking the finger print impression which is on the application form itself. If you can get a hold of the application form then you should be able to get your certificate without necessarily being there. Please confirm my last statement if you have somebody in Lagos to check it out for you. |

in naija they take your finger print and check against records if you're wanted or been convicted. If no then they issue you a character certificate with finger print impressions stating the country you will be going to. the document is valid for 3 months and for only the country stated on the certificate. |

zibe: @dell_net, so how should the place look like? A hotel room? Or inside nnpc building. Do you know the number of people that wrote the test or you still doubt people that wrote the test themselves and are saying its true. One of the witnesses said it was in a public school. If it is really true then I am shocked not about the woman but about the venue. Ain't NNPC amongst the top corporations in Nigeria? |

That place does not look like where one would take nnpc test. You guys need to be more serious. If it is a plot to foil pdp you guys have failed. |

Jaga Jaga: I want to send 50euros (application fee) to a polish university. I will like to know if this is possible because GT bank told me that they have a policy of sending a minimum of 100 dollars therefore my transfer can't go through because the application fee is not up to 100dollars. I don't know what to do next because there is no other means of payment to the school. Can SOMEONE ADVICE ME ON WHAT TO DO I think your best bet will be to mail travelers cheque of EUR50 to them. |
Culture › I Want To Go Back To Africa by dellnet(op): 9:59am On Mar 27, 2011 |
I want to sell everything I have and go back to Africa. I have a job coming up in Nigeria after the Country's election in April 2011 so I am thinking with my little savings, and my properties that I will sell plus the little money I will get from the job in Nigeria I would like to continue in Africa. I know much about Nigeria but I don't know much about other African countries. The most I need is constant electricity, hi speed internet and banks that have links to visa card, mastercard, amex and the variant networks. I am not really keen on staying in my fathersland (Nigeria). I am thinking of South Africa. I know that in Nigeria it is somewhat difficult to assimilate and get accepted into other societies that are not mine. For example most people leave their homeland to other parts of Nigeria for work / business purpose only but then every now and then they have to go back to their homeland for christmas, funeral, naming ceremony, holiday etc.
I am seeking for a society that I can easily integrate and get accepted into just like it is easy to integrate into the american society or some part of the European society. Where is my best bet in Africa? my colleague told me to sop thinking about this. I would appreciate any reasonable input that would help me see where to live a 21th century "globalized life" in Africa. |

hardbody: Funny. Guy, I am not telling you 'as i was told'. I could give you details of the hotel i stayed on Kalambaina Road, the room i stayed, and even the matter i went for. BTW I got judgment a a few days ago. having said that, Please note that I have no point to prove and this for your information happened just last year, before the rains that caused flood started. I have not posted that throw scorn, i just needed to make it clear that if i run such risks in my country where i could manage to get away, it is high risk in a different clime where i am a clear and through visitor.
I am not telling what i think about Sokoto, i am telling you what really happened. BTW before i left the airport, i was informed that rather than mammy market, i could have gone to either of NBA secretariat or the Custom officers mess (both on the same area as the hotel i stayed) to drink without fear or let up.
Enuff said!!! The point is you were afraid thinking you are not allowed to drink alcohol, not making it sound like you can't drink alcohol in public places just because you don't know where to go to and the hotel you stayed does not serve alcohol. If there are any incentives that would make you go to U.S.A please try drinking in the open (in your own words), trust evil luck and you come across police, if you don't sleep in jail you be lucky to lose your drink and get off with a warning. |

hardbody: Lol All the mentioned countries will not allow me drink my beer in the open, so that alone is a disincentive and therefore i will not even dream it, i dont care how much they were going to pay assuming it were true that the pasture was greener over there.
Which reminds me of my last trip to Sokoto. My hotel had actually sympathised with me for their inability to sell beer, but recommended i should go to mammy market and drink to my fill, and then buy some for take away and discreetly take same into my room, they promised to look the other way while i pass the reception area.
Trust evil luck, I bought my canned beers and biked back to my hotel room, only for the polythelene bag to go burst just in front of the hotel gate. I urgently walked very briskly into the lobby with the aboki okada man shouting kai, kai, kai, walked past the reception (on a quick reflection i knew that if i stopped to ask for my room card, almajaris and others may come asking for the last guy that took a card and his room number), i simply disappeared in the hotel grounds till night fall, when i came back under cover of faint lighting to pick my canned drinks and surreptitiously smuggled them into my room. Of course the next time i came out of that room was when i was leaving for the airport, and i was careful to make the time fit with the afternoon moslem prayer time. And this is Nigeria ooo, let alone Qatar, Doha, Malaysia and those other leftist nations, God forbid bad thing. Let those that want to go go ahead. Na una left hand them go cut. When you want to tell your story tell it right. Don't think we are geeks here and will listen to whatever you say. Come out of your paradox and realize that the sokoto or other countires mentioned here are not as you think. |
