What part of the song abused any religion? The hijab-wearing dancers is symbolic of the kidnapped girls...not an assault on a particular religion. Same as saying some pastors are misbehaving...thsts not attacking Christianity but criticising the impostors.

[s]I have seen a lot of people make this statement "vote Buhari out and vote who in?" and I wonder over their senselessness and lack of love for this country.

One of the implications of this statement is that Buhari is the ONLY one who can rule Nigeria well. Well, I think it is stupid to assume that it is only Buhari that can rule this country well when we have over 160 million Nigerians.

Another implication of this is that since the assumption is Buhari is the only one who can rule this country well, he should rule forever. This is too emotional and stupid! We are not at Buhari's mercy.

Remember that Buhari won the election just because Nigerians as a people got tired of Jonathan even though Nigerians were head over heels in love with him in the beginning!

Once again, it is bad to use this statement.[/s]
I can't believe such a topic can grace the FP.
You said don't use 5his expression again? As how? I mean you didnt even make any valid point in ur washed up write up.
The question is simple: vote Buhari out and vote who in? How's this a problem question? People have answers let them answer. The question doesn't imply Buhari is the only candidate; it simply means there are other candidates so if we vote Buhari out who are we voting ? Na wah o.

Boss13:
@OP I think you made the first mistake to come here seeking advice. I have read all the comments and I’m not surprise with the comments here. I would drop some things here, but I don’t know if it would help you.

- Your N9m is relatively not much. However, if you are resilient you can convert that money to an empire.

- You already have a Masters, why go for another Masters again in Canada. If you are looking at education as a means to immigrate, please note there are other ways to immigrate to Canada apart from Education. What many people don’t tell you is the pains they go through during schooling. You don’t need to go through that stress to immigrate since you have a masters and why would an Employer employ an individual with 2 Masters. He seems confused academically or too expensive as a staff. The average highest degree in Canada is Bachelors and Canada is big on experience rather than academics. Canada is also big on soft skills than technical skills. If you want to immigrate, please note that you have to be prepared. You cannot escape Bills as it’s being done in Nigeria. Also, you cannot get rich quick or get rich at all, but you may afford the basic things of life which is treasured as Gold in Nigeria. You cannot oppress anyone abroad materially because the average Jones on the street is just like you and basically has everything you have.

- On the other hand, the business environs in Nigeria is tough and comes with challenges. I cannot tell you to go and do business because only you would face the challenge.

First, You need to sit down and evaluate your life. You seem dissatisfied. It’s normal. Do you want to switch job. If you get a job as a permanent staff, would you be more happy? If that’s the case, then start looking for a job. If you claim you don’t have time, then you don’t want another job.

Also, another question you should be asking yourself - why do you want to start a business? Do you have the entrepreneurial skills? Do you have the ability to be resilient when there are challenges? Are you a good sales man? Do you have people skills and can you manage people and motive them positively? Do you hate working for others? If these are your question, then start your business. If you cannot answer these questions, your N9m will go down the drain and put your under pressure.

Finally if you are considering the immigration route - why do you want to immigrate? Do you want to switch career or environment? Are you a flexible person that can adapt? Are you willingly to change your opinion? Can you integrate properly? There is no money to pick on the streets in the western world? You actually work thoroughly for every hour and on the hour? The Canada you want to run to still operates the Contract worker stuff. In fact it’s a normal practice, but as a contractor, you may earn more or less depending on your skill set, experience and the need for your skill. So you maybe running away from being a contract staff only to end up being another contract staff. It’s just a Nigerian perception crap and poor labour law that makes contract staff look like stench.

I have written more than I initially prepare to.
perfectly written. I couldnt havevdone better.

papascode:
Good day all,

I have been confused on what to do with the money I have saved. I am a contract staff in one of the banks and I have saved considerable amount of money over the years I have been working there. But I am tired of my job, as same as many of my colleagues who wish they had one quarter of the money I had saved to quit the job.

I am not a lazy man I am very hardworking as adhuged by my supervisors but the issue is I have stayed on one spot for too long and no promotion. My greatest joy is that I was able to achieve a masters degree in a federal university in nigeria while working but my job doesn't give me time to even look out for other jobs.
So please guys I am throwing this up here because I know on this thread there are people who have been in my situation before that made the better choice and are happy for it.
I have two very important decisions to make either to use the money I have saved to travel abroad for school for masters and hopfully settle down there or to stay here in Nigeria to start up a pure water production factory but Nigeria and it's uncertainties keeps discouraging me. kindly note that I have saved up to 9million naira to take up any of these ventures and I am 35 years not yet married.
Please I need honest advice to a brother there are some persons like me who will benefit from this advice we render.
Thank you

Lets chat as pals. I currently live in Canada and by God's grace a full time permanent employee of the govt.

I came in for masters - U of Waterloo back in 2012. Before then I was in lagos hustling big gtime. Had one of the best results from oau - first class - but no job after nysc.

So here's my 2 cents:
You are 35yrs old and have N9m and currently employed. If u relocate here, it will take u almost 5yrs to be stable - School, job, PR, etc... That's for sure. So unless u r willkng to spend another 5yrs to do all these, stay at home bro.

You claim to have 9m. If i had 2m back then I swear f***k abroad. I'd stay at home. Many people don't have half of ur money yet they are doing perfectly well. Why would u want to throw that away?

If you are not getting promotions at work, improve urself with qualifications. With 9m my network of business and social connections go badt pass anything. Improve ur network. Roll with people who would give u better job opportunities.

At 35yrs + N9m u wan go start from the scratch in a strange land ? Your momsy no dey follow u talk? Shouldn't u be planning on settling down?

Canada is best for young people coming in before 27yrs...anything later, u 'll be delayed (settling in) by almost 5yrs if u r lucky. So do the arothmetic bros.

Cheers.

Your first point - Cheap cost of living isn't great. In Canada, averagely, it is $0.90/km...
Also, u skipped the fact that u may have to pass throyghlanguage bridge courses as S.Korea isn't an English speaking nation.
S.Koreans are welcoming? Well, we have to revisit that point later as most Koreans are suspicious of non-white visitors. It is confirmed! I have been there twice and there are reports.
And what about life after school? Who's gonna employ a niggi in a high powered executive office to work on policies ? Lol...na wah o. That's how u guys will send young innocent guys there and make their lives miserable.

Crime / Spain Busts Nigeria Sex Slave Gang; Famous Nigerian DJ Nabbed by delors(m): 2:29pm On Mar 23, 2018
Spanish police have rescued 39 women and girls smuggled in from Nigeria and trafficked into sex work by a notorious Nigerian gang.

Europol says the victims were kept in "squalid conditions in caves" and intimidated with voodoo threats.

Gang members forced the women into sex work in order to pay off a 30,000 euro ($37,000; £26,000) debt.

Eighty-nine people, including a famous but as yet unnamed Nigerian DJ, have been arrested.

The DJ is said to have helped move victims to Spain and organise sexual exploitation across the country.
He was caught flying back into Spain after recording a music video.

The operation, which was carried out with police from the UK and Nigeria, is one of the biggest trafficking busts in Europe, says Europol.

It says 41 house were searched in 11 Spanish cities and one city in the UK.

According to Europol, the criminal cartel had links to the Eiye brotherhood, one of the most influential groups in Nigeria.

The gang was allegedly operating all over the world and pumping money back into the network.

Bank accounts allegedly used to illegally transfer more than 300,000 euro ($370,000; £260,000) have been blocked.
