The National Youth Service Corps members (NYSC) have issued out a warning strike starting from 1st September to 14th September, 2017.

This is to implore the Federal Government of Nigeria to keep to it promise of increasing the Corp members allowance (Allawee) from N19,800 to N49,800, starting from August 2017.

It was agreed during National Corpers Forum meeting held in Abuja, that if at the end of August, Corper’s allowance is not increased to N49,800, NYSC will embark on a two week warning strike.

During this period Corps members nationwide will adhere strictly to the following:

“ 1) That Corps members nationwide will not go near their PPA or carry out their primary assignment in any form.

2) That all CDS activities will be suspended indefinitely.

3) That Corps members will not put on their khaki or anything relating to NYSC kits.

4) That Corpers will no longer hid to the Clarion call.

Corps members nationwide are advice to adhere strictly to this information and share it across until it get to the right table.

Please judge this case. Last week thursday my sister inlaw visited me and my wife from NYSC camp. I was shocked when I welcomed her because it was no ordinary visit. she came with a full ghana must go. We greeted and I got to know that she escaped from camp due to the tough tasks on camp. My wife never told me her sister was coming to stay. We have lived amicably till yesterday.

My lil cuzin that stays and helps us with chores was mandated by her to cook 2 big pots of water for her to bath. I scolded my cousin and told her why didnt she use the electric kettle so as to save gas which we just replaced with 6k. I now gave her a warning that whatever my inlaw wants that she should ask me 1st. I even got to know that my wife lied to me that her parents knew she left camp. My wife heard our conversation and started antagonizing me that why did I tell my cuz to always ask me b4 she obeys her sister. she was shouting at the top of her voice even my inlaw could hear. This angered me and I shouted back and told her to leave my room. she continued shouting and even slept in the sitting room as I slept alone.

This afternoon while working on my computer for hours I came out of the room only to find out my sister in law has packed her things back to her NYSC camp without telling me but my wife knows....I am slatted to officially do my white wedding next saturday. I just feel down because we quarell too much and my wife talks in a domineering way. I have warned her about it and I do not want to turn a woman beater. Any quarell we have she tells her parents and siblings which make them never free with me and act cold towards me. Damn it! pls advice me

You know bro, I think u were wrong. I see u emphasized 6k which u used to get the gas...thats burnt u to scold ur cousin that way. I'm just placing myself in ur shoes, I wouldn't scold my cousin. Unless there are other things about ur wife I think u over reacted and u should apologise to her. It will be hard for her fam to like u this way and when that happens, ur marriage will last a day longer than Tontoh Dikeh's.

On the other hand, ur wife needs to learn to control her anger and how she talks to u. U must have seen this all the while u were dating and still went warhead with marriage plans so to say u want to cancel the wedding now will be ur biggest undoing.

Apologise to her. Get her a gift. Then travel to ur sister in-laws camp and give her a surprise. And apologise to her as well in a mature way. Give her a hug. Crack jokes about her sneaking out of camp etc. Love, understanding and forgiveness conquer all. Act like a man.
