humberjade:You can't contest against Buruji and not spend o . Perhaps he will continue to give Tinubu what Amosun was giving him then .Amosun failed by not carrying Ogun stakeholders along right from day 1 of his regime, he sidelined everyone. He believed his closeness to Buhari family will make him get anything he wants. He reportedly doesnt have any regard for the VP. Ajimobi is also close to the President and reportedly wanted Tegbe to succeed him but changed his support to Adelabu when ibadan/Oyo leaders 'pleaded' with him (Otudeko, top Ibadan/Oyo Bloc, Akala and shittu gang-up against him could've rendered Ajimobi powerless). Politics is winning some, losing some; listening to the people and elders where applicable/necessary. |
humberjade:Unfortunately, political situation often gives us bitter pills to swallow. Meanwhile, I strongly believe & hope Dapo Abiodun will be his own man and won't take directive hook, line & sinker from anyone but work for the people not cabal/god-father. I also remember Amosun tried copying some silly lagos reforms but some omoluabi stopped him (big thanks to former AG Ogunde who stood his ground, told him bluntly it's not possible in Ogun State & resigned). Btw Dapo Abiodun seems to have been a top contenders all along (I remember his name including Okupe, Dina way back 2003) and should have some good plan for the state especially as he is quite successful in his private biz - Heyden. |
humberjade:Sir, you got the calculation well (but only added 2 unknown divisions to come to a wrong conclusion ).Ijebu/Remo division 12years; Egba/Yewa division 13yrs. So, using the above premise, it's ijebu/Remo division turn to produce the governor while egba/yewa division will produce after the incoming Ijebu/Remo governor and we expect all hands to be on deck to have a Yewa indigene all things being equal, hoping the Egba will agree. Also, it will be foolhardy of any political block to allow an 'opponent' produce majority of the Assembly men (na impeachment loading). Sir, you will agree Amosun produced all political appointments in 2015 from top to bottom with consulting; if he doesn't 2019, no qualms. OGD did same in 2007 but couldn't get even a seat in 2011. Amosun is even getting 2 Senate & 4 Reps, count him lucky. Ogun State is destined never to be a one-man state. Tinubu helped Amosun greatly to getting the APC ticket and winning very effortlessly since the then ruling State & Federal PDP/PPN were in disarray. |
humberjade:I quite appreciate your position (coincidentally that was my thought too until I was made to see otherwise). The Constitution expressly dictates 3 senatorial district for every state of Nigeria, recall I stated Divisions not senatorial districts and only 2 exists in old Ogun. Senatorial district were drawn up mostly by geography. Moreso, the Remo are not Ijebu or are quick to say they are not ijebu but ijebu supported them to get the position thru OGD. Another question is why was egba allowed to have 2 shots at Oke-Mosan (Osoba & Amosun) without any for yewa if yewa is a bloc. In all, Amosun didn't handle the situation well by unilaterally picking candidates without input from stakeholders. Now, he is not willing to relinquish any position. The other faction has conceded positions to his faction - 2 Senate & 7 HoR - but he is not willing to concede any, just like Okorocha. |

PaChukwudi44:Both are politicians to start with. However, Tinubu is different from Amosun in this particular instance cos Tinubu sacrificed his senatorial seat for GOS in 2003 whereas Amosun is still insisting on going back to the Senate in 2019 denying Tejuoso who has helped the party in the Senate and refused to decamp. Also, Time & Chance is very important in life, Amosun failed to realize this and went on air to reel out list of candidates without (either direct or indirect) primaries against INEC & party directive. INEC wouldn't have accepted the candidates after all. Then the issue of zoning (thou not written) is a major factor, words on the street is that there are 2 divisions in Ogun State - Egba & Ijebu. These 2 divisions rotate the gov seat (from ijebu's Onabanjo to egba's Osoba, ijebu/remo's Daniel to egba's Amosun); so power should go back to ijebu not Egba/yewa Amosun is springing up. The marginalization of yewa should be corrected by egba when it is their turn in another 8yrs. Also, Amosun was imposed by Tinubu on other party stakeholders & candidates 8yrs ago in same manner. In 2011 when the merger btw ACN & CPC failed, Tinubu imposed Amosun against Osoba's chioce thou Amosun wasn't in ACN but in CPC with Buhari. The other contestants like Obadara, Soyinka etc cried blue murder but Tinubu insisted knowing only Amosun could give PDP a good fight. Luckily PDP had serious internal issues (Daniels, Buruji factions). Forward to 2015, Amosun wrote all the candidates list for 2015 from Senate to HoR to minister to everything without consulting other party stakeholders including the VP, using his closeness to Buhari & presidency. 2019 is different, Osoba & his supporters are back in the party and must have input. Luckily for APC, the main opposition is in disarray too. So they all know the battle for Oke-Mosan is inside the party. Meanwhile, Ogun State has always been like this, remember Daniels wasn't allowed to choose his party's candidate hence he decamped to PPN. P:S. I don't support either parties or camp or Tinubu but just to provide some clarifications. |

ADEYINKASaleem:Thank you sir. |
Kufie:Around #2.4m budget should get it. |
Available. #1.7m

If the car is a Clean title with good service history (as am guessing); then it's a fair deal no matter the mileage. Note, you can still bargain it down as the seller might not get such an amount selling in the USA. I hope the #2.4m is total cost including customs clearance. Just so you know, you can get a standard salvage with good service history and good mileage for less (just make sure it's not mileage roll-back). |
Phranex:You actually tried with this business model but did not factor-in a salient point: bike/okada riding is illegal on most roads in Lagos, these roads are the most lucrative route for bikes/okadas. LASG, Police, KAI, LASTMA, Taskforce will clampdown on both the organised and unorganised, perhaps after the election. Confiscation of any property/asset is not covered under insurance. Let me also add that as Uber/Taxify driver & owners are saving money for Mobil 1 oil, original parts etc; bike/okada drivers & owners should start lobbying Igbobi for bed-space. |
AutoElectNG:The Reserve capacity (RC) is important in high heat climate as it helps to power the vehicle's electrical system if the alternator fails. Moreover, heat will cause the liquid to evaporate as batteries contain liquid thus shortening the battery life span. Low fluid levels will damage the internal structure of the battery hence the battery has to be well positioned in the vehicle to ensure the liquid doesn't spill. |
AutoElectNG:While the vehicle manual often provides the vehicle manufacturer's recommended battery. Generally, below are some tips to help make the right choice: The Battery group size that will best fit the physical dimensions of the vehicle. Many vehicles can accommodate more than one group size from 35ah to 75ah. However, some vehicles battery space, i.e. Honda SUV - 2010 and newer - can only use 35ah to 45ah battery but dubious retailers do deceive unsuspecting vehicle owners that they have customized 75ah in the same group size as 45ah. Amps hours (AH) is the unit of measure for a battery’s electrical capacity when continuously discharged over a period of 20 hours before the voltage fails to 10.5V. Cold cranking amps (CCA) is critical for good cranking ability. It's the number of amps a battery can support for 30 seconds at a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius until the battery voltage drops to unusable levels. Reserve capacity (RC) helps to power the vehicle's electrical system if the alternator fails. It identifies how many minutes the battery can supply ample power without falling below the minimum voltage needed to run the vehicle. In general, for both CCA and RC, the higher the number the better. It is instructive to state the CCA rating should be an important consideration in choosing a battery in a cold climate; but the CCA is not important in high heat environment (perhaps one of the reasons 'fake & sub-standard' batteries business thrive in Naija). Futhermore, where a vehicle is used to power other equipment; the type, number of amps to power and hours using the equipment must be taken into consideration when buying the battery. |
