Since u have been there abeg u fit clear some matters...Is it true that the customer services there is poor and the place breeds mosquitoes? I also heard someone complaining that after they paid full price for the facilities for the day they also demanded more money for towel rental. What about power is it 24/7 or those kinda places that would pray for more guests before putting it on?
Yes I have been there.

All the times I visited services were okay, very okay according to normal standard by my estimation.

No mosquitoes in the rooms during my stay, mosquitoes might be around @ night thou, the place is still part of Naija and not immune so proper clothing for night-out should be worn.

Electricity power was 24/7 and I didn't hear of towel rental (thou I usually go around with my towel whenever am sleeping out, no matter the hotel). I doubt such an establishment can stoop that low though.

My honest view is that the place is fantastic for leisure, offering a serene, clean and safe environment to appreciate nature and private sector effort to boost tourism within Lagos.

The complimentary food with the room was buffet, I should note (don't know if still same now though).

Thanks for the details. If i may ask, how much does it cost to pass a night there? I am planning to go there with few friends for my birthday and at least pass the night there. Secondly, with your personal experience, do you think if i have 100k, me and my 4 other friends can enjoy ourselves to the fullest there( including passing the night there) ?
Yes, with #100k I believe 5 people should be able to enjoy themselves fully.

The accommodation is #60k and it's about 3-4rooms with 4-5beds if my memory still okay grin. (been there like 5times & slept 3times around 2010 to 2015). I also think food was inclusive of the accommodation rate then.

So, #60k accommodation and definitely you all can't eat #40k food, minus alcoholic drinks though (at least if you go with your own food).

Visit their website and contact centres for precise rate, terms & conditions.

it's expensive for most Nigerians

The Nigerians that can afford it, would sooner travel abroad for holidays, than patronise a Nigerian resort

Foreigners don't think of Nigeria as a tourism spot, so, patronage from foreigners may be lower than it ought to be.
A lot of foreigners resident around the axis do visit the place (big-time conglomerates including refinery with thousands of expats around there).

Also, there is no way to compare with a foreign trip; UK or US visa application fee alone is enough to pay for a 2-day trip per person, including lodging, feeding everything (remember flight ticket), simply no bases for comparison.

I last visited the place 2015 and can see a lot of expansion from the pictures posted here; they wouldn't have gone ahead with expansion without patronage.

Pure Illegality.

This receipt is just a conjecture by criminal elements and connivance of some official in the local govt to fleece motorists.

If you can get a personnel of any security agencies to accompany you to their office, you can be rest assured you won't pay a dime to get your vehicle out.

You will also be surprised the so-called LG chairman will claim ignorance of this stupidity if and when informed.
Car Talk › Re: Reasons Why Spare Tyres Are Smaller Than The Normal Tyres by DelTel(m): 8:39pm On May 06, 2019
JejeNaija:
okay

I was expecting the OP to hit the nail on the head which he didn't.

The reason for the donut tires is simply because, with the normal regular tires, most users do not see the need to replace or repair their damaged tire and end up not having a spare tire anymore for an emergency.

With the dunut tire, the vehicle user would always make it a priority to change his regular tire and still have his spare tire in place.

I don't know if I have made sense here.
Thanks for your educative response.

Tintinnoty:
Ambode's problem goes beyond Tinubu, the guy practically disconnect himself from the people that voted him, hence nobody was ready to go a mole with him when the party hierarchy challenged his second term plans. Mind you, Tinubu tried save with Fashola but met stiff opposition from Lagosians because the Fashola was in contact with the people
Thank you for apt analysis on Ambode. The man lost out with his party, party hierarchy and ultimately the people.

He and his handlers neither brought anything new to governance nor continued/improved on last administration giant strides.

The apolitical public couldn't connect to his govt (a phone call to some radio & TV stations was just enough to get Fashola & his team to fix or look into an issue but nothing as such with Ambode's govt, even with federal support).

LASG staff morale was low due to some factors - sack of anyone 'assumed' to have a different view, non-procurement of insurance/assurance for staff leading to non-payment of benefits to dependants of staff unlucky to die whilst in service (which are known to other staff).

Dont forget Fashola too wasn't seen as approachable by politicians like Ambode; but Fashola & his handlers would see to every genuine issue raised by any resident of Lagos.

To cap it all, the visionscape & tenement rate imbroglio were not properly handled by him & his handlers.

If you like do everything for the youths during election in Nigeria you and fail to buy vote, electoral officers and the security you won't win. If you are close to those people you mentioned ask them they will tell you better. 90% of the masses are the problem of this country not even the leaders cos you may have a genuine mindset but peoples behavior will change all your good plans.
You are very right. I hope you will agree that not a single individual (not even Buhari or Atiku) could have bought all the votes to win all alone, they get support from others willing to invest in them, not only the youth. We have some youths - likes of Shina Seller, Ajin Alabi, Ojerinde, Obanikoro etc - that braved all odds to win. If he failed he should look inwards and not blame anyone else.

How many social influencers, moneybags worked for him. Did his party have agents at all polling unit across his home state in Anambra not to talk of the whole Nigeria. Politics is all about money, like every other venture.

Also, until a politician gets his 'enemy' to work for him (like OBJ, Tinubu, opposition govs etc work for Buhari in 2015; Tinubu and some SouthWest leaders work for GEJ in 2011 etc); he or she can't get the highly coveted presidential seat.

Until we understand the dynamic of our politics, people and expectations; then any newbie gunning for presidency will always fail.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Youths Are The Biggest Disappointment - Kingsley Moghalu by DelTel(m): 6:35am On Apr 13, 2019
It is sad when people can't communicate without insult! This is an online forum, 90% of commentaries are laced with derogatory language. So sad for us.

The youth and the people will vote for whom they know and believe in, Ubah won senatorial ticket as he has been identifying with the youth over time, thru sports.

Yes yes, Moghalu is qualified, but how did the people, nay youth, feel his impact when he was in CBN, UN, etc., Politics is local, you need to sell yourself to the people (Seyi Making in Oyo State did it excellently pouncing on the mistake of incumbent govt).

How many LGA did Moghalu visit prior to the elections.

Has the youth and people seen him do anything for them or speak out before now. Do the people truly know him.

Obama rose thru the ranks before presidency, learning the ropes sort of, building trust amidst political elites and electorates.

Moghalu couldn't have won governorship, Senate or even HoR in 2019. He should start working now for the youth and people to take him more seriously.

Am a little bit confused there and i think 3.2m is quite on the high side for an accidental vehicle with millage above 130k
What percentage of vehicles in Naija are not accidental. A vehicle used for around 8-year with 135k mileage and good service history can't be said to be on high side.

Clean title of this vehicle LE with similar mileage won't be less than #4m not to talk of XLE that might go up to #4.5m.

Perhaps if it was advertised without the complete history of pictures, and mileage rollback to 20k (and Cosplay doesn't show); then we won't be having this discussion.

They are a special breed in all endeavors.

My BDC is hausa, i last saw Moh'd more than 7years ago but just a call to him and he will deposit dollars into my bank account (sometimes I pay him naira first, sometimes he pays the forex first).

Rare to hear of situations where any hausa maiguard connived with robbers to attack his place of work.

Most troubling to me is whenever I buy oranges, the hausa man will cut it open and look if okay, then gives you, if bad, he keeps to himself; meanwhile whenever I buy from my tribe women, they tell me, they didn't grow it and she bought it like that and must sell it like that too. grin

The hausa man will help his competitor sell his goods without qualms. if he notice the buyer is interested in buying from the other seller. I once wanted to get a cold drink and the hausa man I parked with didn't have the chilled one I wanted, he ran to his neighbor to get me another if it suited me, I didn't want both but I bought one due to his 'marketing & customer' zeal.
