ikenga67: Hi,
I have been on this forum for about a month now, and I want to first congratulate you guys for what you have achieved so far. The traffic on the Forum is terrific, the information one can get are sometimes priceless.
I have a few suggestions on the politics section though. I understand the concept you guys are operating on which is to give everyone a platform to air their opinion on topical issues of the day. However, I am sure you guys must agree with me, that on an annonymous platform, such privilege easily gets abused.
The Politics section is very lively going by the number of threads posted everyday and the posts on those threads. However, that quantitative achievement, in my view, has come at a huge qualitative cost. I am sure the mods are already very aware of this fact.
I would sugggest that the mods pick the topics for discussion from the news of the day or approve any new threads before they are posted to ensure that they are not frivolous or just duplicative of other threads still extanct. I understand the need to avoid appearing censorous of people's viewpoints, but that has to be weighed against an even greater need to maintain the integrity and quality of the forum which you guys have done so much to build up.
I also will recommed for the political section some kind of "Experts Corner" which would consist of real people with their names, and some bio-data and their pictures, posting comments on issues of the week which would be selected by the moderators. Such an expert corner would serve to provide well-thought out viewpoints devoid of the abuses inherent in anonymity for the thousands that come to the website seeking to be better informed. The mods can even go beyond the usual frequenters to the forum to seek out informed Nigerians from different background to popluate the corner. Politico used to have something like that,I forgot the name they called it.
Newbie, are u ibo? grin grin
Just joking. Good suggestions.

When I was there, cleaners normally see foetus constantly at the back. Those doctors that reside at the medical floor then normally carry out abortion and dispose these innocent souls to thrash.
Wouldn't know if such still happens sha.

Those Kalabari elders are HIGHLY respected in Kalabari Kingdom and its not just one Union, but With mandate from HRH the Amayanabo himself... Fresh Air till Yakubu win World Best
Fool, that u are convinced that Tam did nothing for Ijaw doesnt change the fact that those miserable chiefs are chop chop has stated by Tam. The issue here is has Amaechi done well in Rivers or not and this has nothing to do with the raetardeen.
Though am a little dissapointed so far in Amaechi's second term so far but he is so much and far better than most of his predecessors. I can comfortably say that Amaechi is a good Governor

The only offence of Amaechi is that he isnt sharing money to these old cargoes. Useless men.

Nashville: Within the last one month, Jang has called three HGF meetings. Is this really a despiration to show he is the chairman or those who attend just have nothing important doing in their states. All those that attended these Jang meetings are a disgrace to Nigeria. Three NGF meetings in one month, shows they dont have anything more important to do than to play politics.
Spots on. Those asking Amaechi to call a meeting are talking rubbish. he will call it as at when due. GF meeting isnt their primary responsibilities and shouldnt be an everyday thing.

Wamakko Calls PDP Chairman Bamanga Tukur A ‘Political Prostitute

As the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to come apart at the seams, one of its suspended governors, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto State, today came down hard and heavy on National Chairman Bamanga Tukur, denouncing him as a political prostitute whose mission is to destroy the party and north.

Addressing a mammoth crowd at Government House, Wamakko said that people like Bamanga Tukur and Ahmed Gulak, the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the President, have no business in PDP and ought to be sacked by President Goodluck Jonathan.

On his suspension from the PDP, Governor Wamakko vehemently dismissed the development, saying he has no regrets and no apology whatsoever.”
Furthermore, he stressed, “I will never support Godswill Akpabio, the Chairman of PDP Governors Forum.”

Wamakko called on Mr. Jonathan to bring back, Ahmadu Ali and Abubakar Kawu Baraje, to continue as Chairman and Secretary of the party.
The governor, who was flanked by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, said, “When we took over PDP in 2011, the party has no single elected person from Sokoto state. Today we have won all the 234 seats of the Councilors as well as all the 23 local government chairmen. We have won all the 30 members of the state house of assembly, all the 11 members of the national assembly, all the 3 senators as well as the governor and his deputy, therefore the peoples of Sokoto state are ardent lovers and supporters of Alu not PDP.”

Governor Wamakko’s scorched-earth criticism of his party’s chairman comes as sources say he may dump the PDP for the yet to be registered All Progressive Congress (APC).

The sources said the governor held a closed-door meeting with Bola Ahmed Tinibu in Lagos upon his arrival from The Netherlands, where he attended an investment forum along with the Kwara State Governor, Ahmed Abdulfatah.

The source confided a SaharaReporters correspondent that Wamakko spent over three hours with Tinubu to discuss the terms of his joining the APC.

PoliticsRe: PDP Cancels Wamakko’s Suspension by Demdem(m): 5:35pm On Jun 17, 2013
Less than one week after Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State dismissed as a political prostitute the Peoples Democratic Party chairman (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the chairman today ‘recalled’ the suspended governor.

Wamakko was suspended on June 5. In a communique at the end of a meeting on that day, the National Working Committee (NWC) said Governor Wamakko had ignored invitations and lawful directives of the NWC and demonstrated contempt for an organ of the party.

In a bizarre clarification the following day, party spokesman explained that Wamakko was disciplined because he had refused to take calls Tukur made to obtain the governor’s explanation of certain comments he had made.

It is unclear if Governor Wamakko was jumping for joy today upon hearing of his recall. While dismissing his suspension, he also expressed regret that the party is being led by people such as Tukur, and called on President Goodluck Jonathan to bring back Ahmadu Ali and Abubakar Kawu Baraje, to regain the reins of control as Chairman and Secretary.

Also today, Tukur, who was in the company of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio, announced that the National Executive Committee of the party will meet in Abuja on Thursday.

It will be recalled that in addition to dismissing his so-called suspension from the PDP, Governor Wamakko also swore never to support Governor Akpabio as the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum.
