PoliticsRe: FG Plans N8tn Budget For 2016 by Demdem(m): 1:23pm On Nov 06, 2015
What obviously isn't in debate here is that the forthcoming budget will be higher in an era of low oil-producing price than our recent past years under the leadership of Jonah-daft when oil price was very high.
It's obvious that Nigerians made the right decision by booting out the curse from Aso Rock.
With time, full details of Govt plan will be revealed.
PoliticsRe: Kayode Ogundamisi To Ben Murray-bruce On MTN/NCC N5bn Fine. by Demdem(m): 11:48am On Nov 06, 2015
Shosholoza:
The former President of SA Thabo Mbeki once spoke of African Renaissance, from economical point of view that means Africans need to learn to trade with themselves. We have a lot in this continent the only problem is that we all need to have one view. I'm not defending but MTN has broken Nigerian laws then its ok to issue a fine but $5.2 billion ( $1 million x 5000) is way too much. I'm so disappointed that there are some of our Nigerian brothers who sing China and USA over SA, while MTN, Shoprite and DSTV were the beginning of this renaissance and the era of SA buying all its oil from Nigeria and other African countries. I know its a long process or a small step but that is what we need rather than these fights. MTN needs to sit down with the NCC and settle this matter even it takes some months, because African countries are very young to rip each other apart. Its very sad for African to celebrate this.

Whether is too much or not is debatable expecially considering its impact to our National security and the law can be updated but not until Mtn pays up this fine first.
MTN can't claim ignorance of this in the first place yet they choose to deliberately contravene such. Their competitors, both local and foreign that made sure they obeyed, were they fools to have obeyed? What does Mtn take us for?
The law may be reviewed but not until MTN pays up.

Ovamboland:
The law regulating the SIM card issues prescribes 200,000 Naira fine per SIM, yet he has not told us how NCC misapplied the law.

The above is the koko of the matter.
Break the law and face the music. MTN knows the law but chose to break it. Now that it's time to face the music, fools are shouting injustice especially the chief fool in the senate.
Gone are the days when Jonah-daft was in charge and impunity was the order of the day.
MTN must pay up.

Lobeez:
Hmmm! is it mere coincidence or a case of political witch hunt that two South African based firms MTN & Stanbic IBTC are incurring the wrath of the Nigerian Govt? I actually find it hard to believe that of the four major telcos in Nigeria, only MTN Nigeria 'allegedly' defaulted in disconnecting unregistered or not properly registered lines and to slam them with a ridiculous fine at a time like this makes it more suspicious.

Well, I know this will be sorted out in no time as soon as both govts resolve their differences. In the meantime, it will interest you to know that MTN has acquired visafone and have renewed their operating license for another 5 years.
Watch out for LTE sooooooooooon cheesy cheesy

For Stanbic IBTC, the CBN has already exonerated them and told FRC that they will not be penalised has instructed. It was the FRC that was poking her nose on what she ought not to.

kettykin:
You still don't get it , if MTN pays that amount other people will find it very difficult to invest in Nigeria.
How come glo and MTN are not as competitive as MTN

Don't be deceived. Investors will always go to where they are assured of maximum profit. MTN broke the rules and the penalty of such was already known when the rules were set up. We dont need criminals coming in under the name investors and start disobeying our laws. Such is not done from wherever they are coming from?
Besides, who told u glo isn't competing well with MTN?
PoliticsRe: Ministerial Nominee List: Who Is A Technocrat? by Demdem(m): 12:50pm On Oct 08, 2015
chuna1985:
Technically A technocratic
government is one in which the ministers are not
career politicians;
in fact, in some cases they may
not even be members of political parties at all. They
are instead supposed to be "experts" in the fields of
their respective ministries. So the classic example is
that the Finance Minister would be someone with an
academic background in economics who had worked
for years at the IMF, but has not previously run for
elective office or been heavily involved in election
campaigns.
In otherwords, there is no technocrat government operating in any democracy anywhere in the world.
There is no single democracy anywhere in the world that they dont have politicians as ministers

Simply plug this item into your car's cigarette lighter and it instantly begins to save fuel and your money. You can experience more horsepower, better acceleration, longer battery life, and cleaner emissions etc.

• Easy to carry and convenient to use.
• Start saving gas consumption by 10% to 30% immediately.
• Designed for 12V cigarette lighter sockets
• Increase your car's mileage just by plugging it into your cigarette lighter socket.
• Lower emission, low power consumption and longer battery life.

How does it work?
Just plug and save! The Electrical components in your car's electrical system are interconnected with each other. To get superior performance from your car, it must have a clean electrical circuit environment. Many cars develop electrical imbalances over time due to the power demands made by various accessories and normal wear on batteries, spark plugs and other parts.

To maintain optimum electrical performance and improve MPG, your car will run better with a stable voltage environment. The Fuel Shark provides just that. It is a multi-purpose Voltage Stabilizer. Fuel Shark's worldwide patent pending design instantly stabilizes your car's electrical system, resulting in better fuel efficiency and overall performance. By stabilizing your car's electrical system, one big benefit is that your engine's spark plugs deliver a strong even spark, resulting in better combustion. This can increase power and MPG, in addition to having cleaner emissions.

This revolutionary technology provides consumers with an inexpensive way to save money at the gas pump and help our environment at the same time. Better yet, there are no installation charges. Just plug the Fuel Shark into you car’s lighter adapter and the blue light will let you know that the Fuel Shark is working, and reminds you that you are.[/quote][/s]

Shut ur trap Goon. Which people did he betray? Is Jonah-daft "his people "? Was it not his cries of snatched oil wells which brought bad blood that is the Genesis of all these? The same oil wells wike is currently begging to be returned. Did Jonah-daft not also not betray him by aligning with an aboki instead of him when it mattered? The last time Amaechi was in PH, he entered like a king and it was obvious his people loved him. The only major recent upsurge is target of soft targets unlike before where they take territories. These soft targets which are very easy task for them. That PDP isnt in power mean nothing. Is PDP finally dead? Unfortunately, until PDP finally dies, there may still be here and there skirmishes from these killer group.

Based on the resolutions passed, the witness stated that Amaechi withdrew N30 billion, N19 billion, and N5 billion, apart from the fourth request of N1billion, which he recollected though was granted
