rhymz: You are losing objectivity my friend, GEJ's election was one of an underdog, people saw him as being a victim of the northern oligarchy, capitalized on that to vote for him. Jonathan had a lot going for him and actually won people's vote regardless of their party affiliations. You still hear people make statements like I voted the candidate and not the party. Even though people had issues with the PDP they did not use that as an excuse to deny GEJ their support. To say people voted his party and not eat is to overlook the truth.
By the way, that was GeJ's first attempt and Buhari's third attempt and all he could gather was was a meagre 10million votes while a southerner from a minority tribe got almost thesame number of votes. Buhari is bad market, he is a failed desperado. His popularity in the north is fictitious and a creation of propagander, there is no proof to show he has the huge following people attribute to him. He is just as popular as any other military ex head of state from the north, trust me, he wont win the likes of IBB, Abdusalam and Atiku in a free and fair election in the north. Again, Buhari is an overspent looney.

I have conducted a by-election as a corper in Sokoto state, I doubt there is anything new you can tell me about electoral intrigues in the north. The reality is this: PDP is hugely popular in the north for a start, Parties win elections not just candidates. Buhari is popular amongst militant muslims not an average northerner in the street. If he was so popular, it will reflect in the number of states his party controls in the north, last Time I checked, it was just one. Even the ANPP that is not as noisy as the CPC and ACN controls more than one party in the north. Buhari is popular on the fringes not where it matters. His popularity is useless if it can not win elections for both himself and his party. Jonathan and the PDP on the other hand does not need to bask in the euphoria of propaganda and empty talk,they have structures to take care of that...may be you and your APC ppl should concern yourselves with that for now and quit obsessing about PDP.
