That is our aim for now. If I am to grade the military as regards meeting the December Target given by Buhari, will give them 78% which to me isn't completely bad. Buratai has led his gallant men well no doubt. |

Where in the opening post did u hear Buratai say such or just a figment of ur skewed imagination. Didn't u read where he further charged his soldiers not to relent from their current successes? All u lovers of Evil boko Haram will perish before the end of this year.
But he urged them not to be complacent, saying the insurgents would employ desperate measures to survive the onslaught by the military. |

Well-done Genera Buratai. A world class General. This Xmas was the most safest as regards high profile attacks by evil boko in recent years. They normally strike big on Xmas day but Buratais men has decimated them that they now restrict themselves to extremely soft targets. Yet fools will claim they are yet to see change. |

EternalTruths: You said federal government gets 54% of the total revenue
Yes, approximately that percentage because around 1% or so go to ecological funds also.
My question
Who gets the remaining 46% .? Is it the states and LGs or others I don't know
You have answered the question ursef yet u claimed u don't know. U sound confused.
Question 2
If it is the states and LGs that get the 46%, why then did you include them in the 54%.
Please show me where I did such? The budget FG prepared which ur kind and IPOB fools are criticising, does it include incomes and expenditures of states and LG? |

EternalTruths: it is clear how you arrived at that figure
Now tell Nigerians why Buhari declared an expected revenue of 830Billion naira from oil, when your figure below which I highlighted blue is 1.66 Trillion naira
Is Buhari being outsmarted by Tinubu's boys.? Go back and read and put ur brain to work. U Av been well tutored but has refused to accept.
1. The Federal government budget is the Budget of the federal government alone. Not the Budget of the country. Thus from the Nigeria sharing formula, the Federal government takes about 54% of the total oil revenue accruing to the country (Nigeria Federation).
That money isn't for FG alone but all federating states, abuja inclusive. Oil producing states additional revenue, ecological funds savings etc. Fg can't budget on the entire 1.66 Trillion because it's not theirs alone. U budget on what is strictly urs. |

That figure is gotten by multiplying price per barrel ($38) x daily production (2.2mbbls/day) x the whole year (365 days) to arrive at an annual gross earning of $30.15bn |

Because we know that the production cost could be lower than $5 or more than $5 per barrel.

....you and Jonathan. ..hehehehe...guy jona was just like every other leader nigeria had...you should stop this blame game and we think of a way forward..The buhari we have now once ruled nigeria and nigeria didn't turn into dubai then...if we put our trust in our old leaders we would soon head for a rock...We must as youths and citizens influence their decisions for the benefit of all...
Actually we need to because he happened to be the worst leader in our history. Like u said earlier, which of our leaders had access to so much resources? Where u alive when Buhari came in first? Just like this scenario. He came in at a time Shagari and his cohorts bastardised the emerging things. He came in and restored order. Already, a solution has been proffered in form of the budget however knowing fully well how forgetful Nigerians are. There is a need to always remind us from where we were coming from especially when the curse was governing.
This government should not end up borrowing until we end up like Greece. ..
There is nothing wrong in borrowing however what are the terms of money being borrowed and what money borrowed is spent on should be of more importance.
I just hope they have considered all the odds..
Of cos they have. We have sincere set of people currently governing us.
I hope you you would be ready to vote out the apc if they end up a scam...because with Nigeria all scams are possible...
Why not. If they disappoint or perform far less than Jonah-daft, I will be the first to cast the first stone. It's for Nigeria good. This is the time to spend heavily to boost and energise the economy and not being conservative about it. |

My fear we might be taxed to death from next year if the government seeks a fast way to compensate for the budget deficit..and na there we go mad for this country..
I am just tired... Only if Jonah-daft ur brother had better managed the economy when oil was far more than $100 per barrel. No other leader in our history had so much income accessible to the drunkard, yet he squandered it all. Even the 1 billion dollars the bastard borrowed to purchase arms, na Dasuki shared the money for their cohorts. This budget is right on point. This govt should remain focus. We will go through pains no doubt but the end result is surely positive. |

dustmalik: I may be misunderstanding the situation as it could be. But here is my limited knowledge of the situation in case the nullification of the 23 lawmakers is upheld today. If i understand it correctly, a state house of assembly can't perform legislative functions if it can't form a quorum. A quorum suggest 2/3 of the total members. So, if the 23 lawmakers are sacked today, can the house still seat and perform legislative duties, given that 2/3 can't be achieved anymore? The house if majority of them is sent packing won't be able to form a quorum. It's expected that the HOR will resume that responsibility from abuja. |
