House please I need your advice.
@ Omoyeluka, guess you are from Owo.
My advise include your family now in your application. Mail them in your school that you have a family, they will change the OSHC to family so that you can pay for that. My Kobo advise, it is much easier when you apply together. take kia

Praise God my family visa was granted at last, some few minutes ago.
It was not that easy at all checking mail every second to get response from Pretoria, I give all glory to God.
My advise is this, please and please try and apply for your family when you are lodging your own application, I didn't know we could apply together when I did as I was scared by people I talked to here, I was misled by them, to avoid unnecessary stress and tension, try all you can to apply together.
For all those who are still waiting, may God almighty do a quick work on your grant, you shall not be disappointed in Jesus Name

I cant see this. I searched no show

HE Mr Adam McCarthy – Australian High Commissioner

Welcome to the website of the Australian High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa.

The Australian High Commission is accredited to seven countries in Southern Africa – Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland – as well as the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

South Africa is Australia’s largest export market on the continent, our partner in important forums such as the G20 and Indian Ocean Rim Association, as well as our co-host of the ground-breaking Square Kilometre Array telescope.

Australia is proud of its strong historical opposition to the apartheid regime in South Africa and our bilateral relationship has flourished in the democratic era, today spanning trade, investment, education, the arts, science and tourism – not to mention our friendly rivalry on the sporting field.

Australia’s links with the broader region are also substantial and growing, particularly through increasing commercial ties, as well as through programs such as our long-standing Australia Awards scholarships.

We share an interest in a peaceful and prosperous region and are committed to working with the countries of Southern Africa as a friend and partner.

I strongly urge Australian citizens and permanent residents in Southern Africa to register with the Australian Government through www.smartraveller.gov.au. Registration has many advantages but most importantly it will help us to locate and assist you in an emergency and helps make it so much quicker for us to provide reassurance to your relatives in Australia should an event happen.

It may also be used to pass other information to you such as new travel advisories, notice of elections, and important information relevant to travellers and expatriates.

The South African Government implemented new immigration regulations effective 1 June 2015.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE: As at 14:30 on Tuesday 21 June 2016, the High Commission is closed due to security concerns. In-person voting for the 2016 Australian Federal Election has been temporarily suspended. Information will be posted here to advise when we will re-open, including for voting**

Latest advice, 22 June 2016
The Australian High Commission is temporarily closed on the advice of local authorities due to violent demonstrations in Pretoria. You should avoid large gatherings and demonstrations and monitor the media and other local information sources for updates. (see Safety and Security). The level of this advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in South Africa.

@nwankz
Why are you expecting them to call you and ask questions?
Well I dont know what they can ask but I think its better to be optimistic. I don't know anyone they called before.
Just relax and hope for the best.

Lolzzzz.....someone should please advice us on what possible questions the embassy can call and ask

I really will appreciate your time. Thanks in anticipation.[/quote]

Stanleyelege:
Thank u DEMI10.

Honestly, ur advise is making me review my decision. My agent was against my plan to come with my wife as she suggested i should settle down first that i have limited time.

JUST IN,

Just today my agent called that the sch might not release my coe unless i pay a deposit of 2500 for my masters programme.

This is coming after i have paid for my PGD programme which is to commence next month.

Can i challenge this policy?

Well I don't understand, the 2500 is for what? You have limited time as he says, try and apply by next week if possible.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Demi10: 12:44pm On Jun 16, 2016
@ Stanleyelege those who tried to advise you to me honestly did that out of their genuine concerns, it is much easier if you apply together even if you are not coming together, at least they will have their visa at hand. The question is this have you been to Australia before? I am sure most of those who suggested that you apply together lives in Australia.
Have you read that from July 1st, everybody will henceforth apply for one subclass 500, it would become more difficult, your family will apply through that class then, so why do you want complicate issue for yourself when you have the opportunity to make things easier for your family now? My advise if you have not submitted include your family now.

Good day everyone please when applying for a family to join someone in Australia on a studen visa, does one need to fill form 157A all over again haven't filled earlier. My thinking is that nomination form is to filled by the applicant while the spouse fill Part B of form, but what I read on the website is confusing that the principal applicant still need to fill the form again.
Thank you

Hey I have asked this question close to one week, nobody is helping me out on it. I had called Pretoria office unable to speak to anyone. Please I need your help on this, Biko.
Good day everyone, please I will appreciate if there is anyone in the house who brought his/her family to Australia after being granted the student visa. How did you go about it. On the statement of account, can one submit someone elses' statement of account then as sponsor or does it have to be your personal account when applying for your family. The guru's can please help me out on this.
God bless us all, my prayer is that God will crown this year with His goodness for us and our testimonies will be complete in Jesus Name.
