Politics / Re: Owners Of Oil Wells In Nigeria Unveiled By Segun Adeniyi by demmy(m): 5:00pm On Mar 14, 2013
eastOFwest:

A significant number of licenses shown in the list have already expired, so who is operating them now? What's the point listing oml and opl licenses that have expired a long time ago? What is the situation now?

Also, this list does not make any references to the size of these oil blocks and the estimated amount of oil/gas within? We all know (for example) that 5 states in the SE are not equal (in size and population) to 5 states in the SW.

What's the difference between an OML and an OPL?

Why not do your own research and get back at us. Must everything be spoon feed to you?

Yes I am for real. Are you?

nwabobo:

Judging from your post above, I take it that you do not use our airports. In that case, I'm afraid you won't understand. Why not keep shut for now until we start discussing about molues and brt buses.

What airports? I hope you are not crediting the bigot Igbo minister for airport renovations because I am sure those contracts were already awarded by Obasanjo and Yar'Adua.
Politics / Re: Minister Of Aviation Declares War On Yoruba – by demmy(m): 6:42pm On Feb 25, 2013
nwabobo:

Nope. Just that the past ministers, Igbos inclusive didn't have enough clout to "declare war on the Yorubas" by dismantling their intricate web of corruption and corrupt practices which they have institutionalised in our civil service. That is the difference here. This woman is taking them head on with concomitant improvements in resulting output hence the hues and cry you are hearing.

I am beginning to think you're not that bright. Do you know that the Dana Air Flight 992 disaster happened on "this woman"'s watch? Is that what you call improvement? Then she gave Dana their license back before the investigation was concluded adding salt to the injury of the victims' relatives. Other than sacking Yorubas and replacing them with mostly unqualified kins of hers, what reform has she embarked upon?
Politics / Re: Minister Of Aviation Declares War On Yoruba – by demmy(m): 5:10pm On Feb 25, 2013
ilugunboy:

So obviously it's not that the Ibos have always been excluded from the ministry since ages that these bigots are painting picture of

Of course not. But our Igbo brothers like to play the victim and the victor at the same time. grin
Politics / Re: Minister Of Aviation Declares War On Yoruba – by demmy(m): 4:25pm On Feb 25, 2013
For the benefit of the rabid bigots and other ignorants, these are the ministers of aviation since 1999:

Olusegun Agagu (May 1999–February 2001)
Kema Chikwe (February 2001–May 2003)
Isa Yuguda (July 2003–July 2005)
Babalola Borishade (July 2005–Nov 2006)
Femi Fani-Kayode (November 2006–May 2007)
Felix Hyatt (2007 - 2008)
Babatunde Omotoba (Dec 2008 - March 2010)
Fidelia Njeze (April 2010 - May 2011)
Stella Oduah (July 2011 - present[2013])

ilugunboy: Lolzzzzzz....yhlboes just dey grandstand on this thread.

BTW...Oduah is just another temporary occupant of this position....so gloating over such an ephemeral position is childish putting it mildly.

Don't mind them. They are acting as if ibos were never part of the rot in Nigeria, as if Kema Chikwe and Fidelia Njeze were not ministers of aviation before this current Oduah woman took over.

9jacrip: Andrew Uweh, I will advise you get better works on Yoruba history - check with Toyin Falola.
Samuel Johnson's work is not 'scholarly' and filled with 'intriguing' myths/oral tradition.

Why not try Ground work of Nigerian History by Obaro Ikime and many other co-authors.

Johnson's general history is truly filled with myths but his accounts of the war were correct because he witnessed it and even helped to negotiate its end.

Andre Uweh: Once again, how can I lay my hand on Samuel Johnson's book ''The History of The Yoruba''.
Thanks in anticipation.

SSS is not under the ministry of internal affairs. It is in the Presidency under the office of the National Security Adviser. What kind of olodo report is this?

Nigeria was not owing when Obasanjo left. And he left over 30 billion dollars in reserve.

Insanity.
Politics / Re: Innoson Vehicles Complains Of Low Govt Patronage! by demmy(m): 7:28am On Jan 30, 2013
Boss13: Does Innoson really need the government? You have to tell people about your product and how good your products are. I visited their website and it is rubbish, you cannot view the vehicles properly, you just see specification. No interior or exterior picture display of their vehicles, no price tag. It tells you how unserious the marketing department is. How about advertisement, how about dealership with distributors? They need to start with this and I bet his vehicles will be flooded in the street, if truly it is top range and cheap.

Their vehicles are very very expensive. Only government can afford to buy them hence they are not marketing to Nigerians directly. IVM is a great effort but execution is poor. If they want to survive, they'll have to make their products affordable to the Nigerian masses and offset the loss by selling more cars to more people. Millions of Nigerians still dream of owning a car and I see no reason why they won't buy an IVM if its affordable.

Of course. By the way life expectancy in Nigeria is 54 years. Brutish and short. And when your family member die suddenly, you can always blame it on witchcraft.
