Okija_juju: Charge them to court for what?!Why don't you go carry weapons on Russian territorial waters and see what happens. Self loathing hediot. |
futoprince: ''According to NBS, national unemployment rate stood at 23.9 per cent at the beginning of 2012.Nothing fraudulent in the data. Majority of Nigerians operate in the informal market which is unrecorded economic activity and difficult to track. The 23% unemployment rate is within the formal sector. |

Sunny_bobo: .HA HA HA HA HA ![]() Obvious lies are so obvious. |
Nigerian celebrities and their questionable sense of fashion ![]() |
We would probably descend into civil war again with an ibo president. The egocentric attitude of ibos make them unqualified to lead a multi-ethnic nation like Nigeria. |
You do realize these laws are physical right? Can you hear without ears? |
I wonder how much Princess Stella Oduah collected to give Dana and its Indian owners their license back to keep killing innocent Nigerians? |
afam4eva: I hate quota system and rotational presidency with a passion. The only way we can get rid of these archaic practice is to go back to regionalism where every region will be responsible for it's citizen, then they can run their regions the way they want.Well its too late now, thanks to Ironsi and the 1966 coup plotters. |
babyosisi: Is there a quota system in university admissions that is designed to favor northernersPeople should stop arguing with this ibo supremacist. More than 70% of Nigerian university students are southerners but the bigot wants us to believe the system favor northerners. What a troll!! |
confusion247: Is it the fault of southerners that northerners refused going to school? Is it proper to sacrifice someone's excellence just because you want to favor a lazy child? Please call evil evil and call injustice injustice. The setting of one Nigeria has a lot of injustice.Stop the garbage. Whose excellence is sacrificed? All qualified southern candidates are admitted, even in the North most Federal Universities are fill with southerners. You can't complain of almajiris on one hand and whine when efforts are taken to encourage education of these same people. In many European countries with Roma/Gypsy population, the same low cut-off marks system is devised to help them get access to education otherwise they'll end up with large illiterate people in their midst. |
la furia: as for the north having lower cut-off, the question is how many still end up going to school. how many northerners attend federal schools in the south from the north? i attended fed sch in the south but that was becos i lived there. we were just 2 notherners among all the southerners that got admission that year. in the six years i spent, number of northern student who attended the fed school were less than five. but u have southerners who still flood the northern fed schs because the schs in the south couldnt admit them all. my point is:Thank you for this comment. Too much bigotry we refuse to see clearly. Low cut-off mark is to encourage education in the North. I see nothing wrong with this. |
baby_mama: http://thenationonlineng.net/new/education/merit-quota-and-unity-schools/And so you think people from other states should not go to school right? |
naptu2: What happens at the moment is that, if oil is found on your land, the federal government takes that land from you and pays you a pittance as "compensation".But farmers plants those crops. Natural resources are different. They should be for the benefit all. |
dayokanu: Below are some more pictures of sustainable development in Oyo StateWhy is it practically impossible for you to not be a bigot? The thread is about project in Delta State but here you are.....fouling it up with bigotry. Shame on you. |
virtuoso01: Those are DSS agents, not SSS agents.SSS official name is Directorate of State Security Services, DSS. So yes they are the same agents. |
nochio: Pls ask the governor if he meant workers in ibadan and not oyo state?"He said that the buses would be distributed to various locations to convey the workers to the state secretariat in the morning and return them to the same locations after the close of work." |
redsun: What difference does revenue generations makes in a nigeria when it is going to be stolen by a group of people that are entrusted with thess revenues? It is all about enriching the politicians/cohorts and making the game more irrationally competitive and deadly.Keep on thinking like that my friend and you will be left in the gutter. Revenue generations are already making difference. Opportunities abound in Nigeria. In the next 5-10 year Nigeria will be the undisputed No. 1 economy in Africa. All sectors of the economy are growing with agriculture leading the way. Don't miss out. |
Abagworo: I don't know what's wrong with this geez of a guy. I'm in Osogbo at the moment and I might demolish this thread with true pictures of real Osogbo but I will not do that until tempted further by a real man and not a f'aggot like geez or whatever. BTW can you post any part of Oshogbo like these pictures from Owerri?Typical ibo nonsense. Why are you bringing Owerri into a thread made to report development project in Oshogbo? Are you all this pathetic?? |
As far as mineral deposits are concerned, KOGI state and next-door NASARAWA state are the most well-endowed across the entire country.Wow!!! |
Finally another non-oil sector is coming up. |
The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has revealed that the solid minerals sector has generated the sum of N1.7bn following the effective advocacy and mass mobilization campaigns on economic diversification mounted by the commission in the last two years, adding that solid minerals producing states are scheduled to benefit from 13% derivation based on their individual contributions. The Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission, Zubairu Dada disclosed this to newsmen at the end of the 67th Plenary Session of the Commission which held recently in Abuja. He expressed optimism that beside complimenting income from oil, returns from the solid minerals sector would ensure smooth flow of development in the country as every part of the country produces one solid mineral or the other. He explained that in line with the 2nd Executive Order of July 2002, the sharing of the derivation fund to beneficiary states will be based on the 13% derivation indices using the 2010-2011 solid minerals revenue contribution by the thirty six states and the FCT. Zubairu Dada expressed fulfillment that unlike oil and gas, solid minerals are found in every state of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory; this will reduce the unnecessary rancour associated with sharing of oil revenue. While detailing the breakdown of the states’ contributions, he noted that the total revenue from the solid minerals sector from 2010-2011 was N1,002,601,770.22 and that Kogi State contributed the highest amount to the solid minerals revenue during the period under review with a total contribution of N200,960,402.50. This according to him was followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with N116,136,097.77. He said: “the commission has already forwarded the solid minerals derivation indices to the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) for sharing of the proceeds of the 13% derivation fund in January, 2013. http://fmi.gov.ng/solid-minerals-sector-generates-n1-7bn-revenue-states-to-enjoy-13-derivation/ |

The criminal fulani perpetrators had disappeared into neighbouring Benin republic. We are not like you and them to go on reprisal attacks killing innocent people. We are not you. Get it? |
Chima_Adeoye: I don't expect an ostrich to behave otherwise. Now you can try a new tactics. See we are not like you control by your instinct and notions. We assess and analyze before deciding. |
