Aigbofa:

Afam, let us be honest. The seed of what you see today on Nairaland was sown by your people. It was a relentless daily assaults on Yoruba and everything Yoruba by Igbos on this forum that got us to this point.

True talk.

ypzilanti: Why is Chinua Achebe on Hall of Shame list?

Two reasons:

1. Misplaced ethnic and tribal solidarity.

2. Little education.

Misplaced ethnic and tribal solidarity based on concieved attack on the person of Awolowo who is regarded as a demi-god by Yorubas.

Little education is a big problem. This is because those who are attacking him do not understand that a memoir is a personal view. It is not a historical document. You are allowed to give insight to your personal views and thoughts.

Achebe personally experienced loss that you and I can never begin to comprehend. He attacked an opponent at the other side of the war. He did not attack all Yorubas. But in the warped thinking of e-bigots, its all one and the same.

Nonsense. Achebe is not the only Nigerian who experienced personal loss or whatever. We expected a person of his caliber to know better.

Ileke-IdI:

H was added to make Yoruba learning/classes easier.

Originally, H is NOT a Yoruba alphabet, that's why H is hard for us to pronounce for us.

Stop it. H was part of the Yoruba alphabet right from the beginning. Way back since Ajayi Crowther wrote the the first Yoruba dictionary in 1843. Besides, words like hàn, halẹ̀, hù, hámọ́, hó have always been written with h.

JUO: THE JOURNEY WILL BE AROUND 20 T0 24 HRS. SIMPLE LOGIC: DIVIDE 1200KM (LENGTH OF THE ROAD) BY 50KPH (SPEED OF THE TRAIN) THE ANSWER IS 24HRS

Correct. It left Lagos Friday morning and arrived Kano Saturday morning. Not bad for N1,500.
