Phones / Google Launches AI To Compete With ChatGPT by demola21(m): 10:09pm On Feb 06, 2023 |
Google‘s parent company Alphabet announces the release of their latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) product called Bard. The announcement was made few hours ago by the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai. According to him, the AI is powered by their specially designed language model - Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA), an experimental conversational AI service which delivers user prompts in a concise human readable format. Quoting his words from google’s official blog Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses. Bard can be an outlet for creativity, and a launchpad for curiosity, helping you to explain new discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old, or learn more about the best strikers in football right now, and then get drills to build your skills. A striking advantage Bard is proposed to have over ChatGPT is that it’ll deliver results according to the latest available information unlike like ChatGPT whose knowledge base is capped at 2021. It’s important to note that Open AI, the parent company of Chat GPT is slated to launch ChatGPT version 4, this year. Chat GPT v 4 knowledge model is going to be powered by recent information, thereby making generated prompts more meaningful to users. However, with the release of Bard , Chat GPT v4 is likely going to be released earlier than expected. Bard is unfortunately currently only available to early testers, but Google has stated that it will be publicly available to users in the coming weeks. Programming / Re: Wordpress Or Build From Scratch, Which Is It To Be? by demola21(m): 11:13pm On Aug 16, 2021 |
olukunle50: I personally think you should take this route instead of diving deep into the World of PHP. Building sites with Wordpress is already clogged with a lot of new - average developers, therefore having the ability to build a headless wordpress with react as frontend will make you stand out from the crowd. As sides its speed, its more customizable and your knowledge in react will open you to more opportunities and transitioning to other technologies is also be easier. Also the WP REST api will give you a working knowledge of REST API and crud functionality. |

papabiz: His explanation seems very logical, because why would a company want to change their name? As for the publicity thing, I remember those days when there were massive campaigns about naiji.ng. Anyway whatever they did, it seems to have paid off for them, because of the results we are seeing today. |

Health / Gbagada Elites Share Palliatives To The Aged, Poor And Physically Challenged by demola21(m): 12:27pm On Apr 28, 2020 |
A group of elites in gbagada who refer to themselves as friends of gbagada have decided to setup a team in order to distributes food items and hand sanitizers to the remote and less privileged parts of gbagada. This individuals are not politicians and do not have any affiliations with government or agencies. They are just normal Nigerians who decided to be their brothers' keeper and step in to ease the suffering of others. A police officer who is part of the team explained that the initiative was established to focus on the aged, physically challenged and unemployed who do not have the means of livelihood. Food items such as beans, rice, tomato paste, vegetable oil and hand sanitizers were items that were being distributed. This is a step in the right direction as government doesnt have the full capacity and technical ability to reach everybody in the nation. Other elites should folow this footsteps. 1 Like 1 Share

Health / Senegal $1 COVID-19 Test Kit And $60 Ventilator (Video) by demola21(m): 10:43am On Apr 27, 2020 |
While the rest of the world are trying figure out a practical way of combating the novel corona virus, Senegal has miraculously developed a covid19 test kit that cost approximately $1. Thats right! You read well, $1. This is in line with their strategy of testing their total population and fishing out those who are infected. The test kit is conducting by taking blood and saliva samples of patients and due to its low cost of production there is plenty of kits to go round. They've also created a ventilator that cost approximately $60 through the aid of 3d printing. It interesting to not that the average ventilator cost $15000. Senegal has only 2 casualties from their over 600 cases and they've used a combinaton of antimalarial drugs to combat this illness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXcxx0feIZ4 https://twitter.com/AfricaFactsZone/status/1254653550979887107?s=08 170 Likes 32 Shares
