Talented4real:Please let me know whenever VFS Abuja contacts your bros. |
Congrat KenModi, this is goodnews indeed and it is making me relax now. Also geekytobi was granted visa on Thursday via VFS Lagos, so it is more goodnews, and though I do not know about the turnover, his sponsor account was definitely less than two million. My result could have been out on Thursday I cannot tell as it takes two working days to reach VFS Abuja, weekend exclusive, so I have to wait till next week (working days) to find out. So by all indications, I am the last man standing now... humorously speaking, maybe the First shall be the Last... or was it the Last shall be the First? What a paradox! |
Talented4real:I am happy your brother applied through vfs Abuja, so have he gotten his visa yet? Well they kept replying in the same monotone....your parcel have been handed to the embassy for processing! |
Talented4real:Well someone going to Messina like me in Lagos have collected his visa today via VFS Lagos. Visa granted. Someone else yesterday! Take note that VFS website will be down by weekend due to upgrading! |
Talented4real:Talent4real have your brother been contacted as of today by VFS Abuja? And which school? |
Talented4real:I applied August 31 and no wisp yet! |
Talented4real:Any news yet about your brother visa? |
Talented4real:Well my observations are that (1) denial cases are more likely than not to take more than 15 days to prepare (2) if the application is from VFS, particularly that of Abuja, it may take up to or more than 15 days (3) and sometime if the date of departure is still far off, it may make them attend to more urgent travelers first for humanitarian sake... not necessarily always in the FIFO order (4) and for some inexplicable reason some document and identity may need further verification before being cleared. But applying directly at the embassy or at VFS Lagos may mitigate or shorten the time, especially against embassy deadlines. |
Talented4real:y d special interest in vfs Abuja...did u apply tro there 2? |
Talented4real:Since it is not a command that I call them, I shall wait more over it is too late to do anything spectacular now. |
Talented4real:That should be a working estimate as some ppl have gotten less than 7 days while others took up to or more than 30 days! |
Hello has anyone who applied through vfs Abuja around 29 - 31 of August, 2017 receive their visa application? |
Talented4real:it seemed Abuja vfs takes an extra week all the time. |
ghostmist:How much did the fair cost you to Rome? And how did you browse the internet all through your journey? Using a free wifi or hotspot through your phone? |
Is there any person going to Messina that have gotten visa yet? |
If you applied September 5 and was given by September 12, and I reapplied via VFS in Abuja August 31 and have not gotten a reply, I no go bother again o I have shifted my attention to February and won't cast my egg in one basket gain... Anyway my parcel may have reached the embassy on September 5 or likely on September 6 after the public holiday. |
Patechezz:Two questions please...when did you apply? And is health insurance the only thing you added extra when you reapply, or you also tinker with some things to make the application better and what could that be? |
Hello all, I just want to warn you about these pitfalls associated with applying for visa. Please apart from the very basic documents required by the embassy for student visa (like DOV, legalized academic documents, etc) do not be too enthusiastic to submit any other documents that you are not sure can be verified (even if you think it is genuine). You may meet all criteria for the visa, but only one document may discredit your visa application. Another hilarious heresy I see some ppl postulating in this forum is that account statement may be verified but not duly verified. What I meant by duly verified is that everything about your account is visible to the person verifying your account and only God knows what they will relay to the embassy. Before you doubt me let me explain further that my sister is an external auditor that auditors and help get tax clearance papers for companies... at inland revenue...which is tax office... the govt ppl check any account presented to them (maybe via CBN) using your BVN. The outcome is that all accounts associated with that BVN comes under scrutiny... all money that passes through those accounts till date... calculating tax is a precise mathematics that give no room for doubts from tax defaulters not to know what they are owing. So depending on which source the embassy is using... a single account statement potentially opens all other accounts associated with that BVN for probe no matter the bank used. So just be careful when applying for Sheghen visa, especially since you know that your account statement will be verified. Do not take for granted what can be verified about the account, provided you are sure it will not discredit your chances to get the visa. |
kidakudz133:Hello any goodnews |
This one na Indian movie o! What an iron advice for we the curious seekers! Anyway did anyone who submitted for student visa via VFS before the holiday is experiencing what I am seeing when i track mine online? "Your application have been handed over to Courier for delivery to Consulate General of Italy on 31/08/2017"? It seemed my parcel have entered an infinite loop never being stated it has been handed over to the Consulate as they normally do! |
Hi Electromagnito I am trying to understand the bases you submitted DOV and they said you didn't submit. Did you present or submit your original DOV or only photocopy? Were you going for Master or not and if so did you submit DOV only for your secondary school or for university cert or for both? Be specific let's dispel some myth created by your assertion here! |
I no go lie to you all, my cover letter contain some remonstration over how much I have spent and how I do not want my effort to be wasted...that's the only way I can score a point with this Andrea. |
Talented4real:Don't be too confident! That person duly paid school fee in advance. Also they stated "others" among the document listed which could stand for bookings etc So are you telling me if you fill your visa form wrongly it would be overlooked? |
I have noticed that may be if you did not fill the visa application form properly and made mistake in your biodata form, it can lead to "insufficient documentation". Did you book a return ticket? Did your visa application form have your departure date which should ryme with your flight booking? Mind you a visa is not a permit, as it is only given to you to process your education there in Italy, but for the purpose of assurance in case you did not succeed, you need to book a return ticket or willingness to return back...notwithstanding your intended length of study. Visa is given mostly for 90 days. The VFS guy told me that National Visa D is for those who return back and intend to go (if they have missing or stolen documents). Well it is just a theory I am developing sha. |
Patechezz:Medical insurance gives rise to "insufficient documentation"? Is that your surmise? Osanobuaaaaa! We will all be denied visa o! |
Patechezz:I do not think you understand our rational here... if a none family member person have accepted to sponsor you and their account statement is sufficient for your economic means of sustenance... and then you are denied visa stating "Insufficient Documentation" is different from "unable to provide sufficient proof of economic means". In this case it has been stated clearly that you were unable to provide sufficient proof of economic means... why remind us of something that is so clearly stated? So please explain to us what is "Insufficient Documentation" in all ramifications of our context "Italian student visa"? I do not want further confusion as we are trying to resolve this... |
dejiconde:Ok if I am acting as Andrea I will first of all want to know the relationship between you and this business man first... father, uncle, brother.... I will first check your birth certificate to see who is your father or mother there. If it does not correlate to this business man, then I will need vital proof of your relationship with the business man and will only accept strong brotherly proof... which is a little more difficult to establish with all certainty even if you have the same surname with them than a fatherly or motherly proof. So If I do not find strong family connection, even when you try, then i state "Insufficient Documentation"!... I am happy we all know the root cause now, and we will try to avoid it... I do not think you need land property or extra asset in this case but more about establishing a family connection matters most. Its even worst when you do not bear the same surname. |
dejiconde:We ate trying to know precisely some of the context insufficient documentation could be used. Because the statement is not revealing at all. One theory is that either a vital document is missing but more likely the document presented is insufficient not because you didn't submit the right things, but itself is lacking vital proof or a supplementary proof. For instance if proof of family income statement is OK but they could not ascertain the ID of the sponsor, or whether its a business or salary account.. in the last case payslips could strengthen the case. But as the list is endless so only the person who was denied the visa could proffer some explanations what they suspected led to the insufficient documentation! |
esthermichey:Just google sponsor letter and you can get a good format and idea. The problem with giving people draft copies is that they often plagiarized by copying it "word-for-word" which is wrong provided it has been used by someone else for a professional purpose. So it is wrong to ask openly for someone else own when their are draft copies online which you can easily access yourself. Common CV that I gave someone, the bobo copy it almost verbatim, even using the same reference with me and yet applying in the same establishment with me... till I cried "foul-play" because our organization lawyer would have spotted the similarities. |
electromagnito:Icehood I was reading your posts all night and all those who participated last year like "newacca" from August to September 2016, and it was very interesting and enlightening. Thanks for informing us that you have got a France student visa. I am beginning to lose interest completely in schooling in Italy, and if any thing goes wrong with my visa application again, I am done... I was offered admissions to American University Girne and European University Lefka, Master of Computer Engineering both, but I let go for this Italian student visa process that have consumed over 350k of my money alread. The only reason why I applied for the shenghen visa is because I really want to do "Master of Engineering" and Computer Science UniMe has to offer. |
Talented4real:Am going for a 2,yrs master program. Do I need insurance medical till I get there, as I am required first to apply for insurance there before I apply for permit within 8 days? |
newacca:Well he that have ears make dem hear o! |
) told him that his/er visa was refused because the sponsor withdrew the money in his account; please ask your guy very well. S/he might have being hiding some info from you. It's either the embassy requested for another recent statement of account and the sponsor has removed huge amount from the account; while the visa applicant presented the new bank statement with deficiet of huge amount on it or the application was refused based on the fact the there was insufficient fund in the account.
(My thought though).
