Please, stop posting your feeling as your feeling about issuance of VISA is invalid and misleading.
I am sure some people have read your post and you have somehow poisoned them.
However, i'll suggest you always reference your source to validate any opinion because this is a public forum where people often learn from.
As far as I know, issuance of VISA is (GOD) plus unconscious bias.
I cannot help but feel bad. Why should Travel start keep writing to me to pay up for my flight booking till they wrote it is canceled? Maybe that's why some people are denied visa o?

Hello good morning all, even God's favrote pikin was denied visa but my passpprt was not stamped refusal or touched. It all boils down to the mistake i made at VFS...to submit two copies of...every document. So learn from my mistake ... I submitted two sets of photocopies while the originals were still with me. The visa denial reasons stated on a piece of paper were 1. No legalized docs presented 2. No dov presented.. 3. Documentation is insufficient... I ran mad briefly and tear my shokoto. I have all these things for Christ-sake so it means my photocopies were not acknowledged. So I am not appealing, but by the time you are reading this, I don dey tear race dey go apply again at vfs with all my original documents to be submitted this time. Thank Jesu my Master classes commence in October so i still have time.

Greetings to all. This coming week shall be the week of blessings to all of us in Jesus name. More especially, those who in one way or the other assisted or guide any of us all through the process of this Italian thing.

I submitted my visa application on 4th of this month, and after exactly 15 working days ie 23rd, the God of 11:59 answered my prayers. Now, I have been granted a multiple visa to Italy for 365 days. Iam going for my Masters degree. Thanks all....
Anyway your blessing was pronounced after you have seen your outcome. Some of us that we have not seen ours (even though 5 MOG have prophesied I will get the visa) we are still nervous.

Congratulations any way and may God bless your sojourn in Italy!

TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dencotext: 10:41pm On Aug 23, 2017
Another theory as to why Italy embassy always often give Nigerians student visa of not more than 90 days (short stay) is because certain developing countries like naija is unspokenly not marked for long stay study visa because of immigration prone issues. So the purpose is still accomplished if you wished to study more that 90 days, you will use the 90 days duration to apply for resident (study) permit. In fact the guy at VFS categorically stated that it is only those naija ppl who are OK for permit that returned back to naija that are issued long stay Visa D if they want to go back. This explanation may seem so complicated but it is a mixture of my theory gotten from some researches I have done online and the VFS guy explanations which was too ackward to me at first..the reason why I remonstrated initially!
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dencotext:
geekytobi:
Please guys. I kinda confused here, someone said it's the long stay visa form we should submit. But on the vfs site. The study visa is under the short term visa, so I download the form under the study visa on the vfs site.
Hello geek Tobi, so I thought also. I remonstrated with VFS for wanting me to fill and submit the short stay visa form, but the guy assured me severally it is what they always use for student visa.

But now that I have completed the process and submitted my visa request, thinking about it, it finally made sense when one bobo in this nairaland forum pointed out to me that while filling the form I couldn't ticked the "VISA C" because the column was meant for official use only. Provided you did not tick Visa C as you cannot do that while filling the form online, so it does not matter... then what matters most is what you are stamped as visa on the passport. Some asked for multiple but are given single entry visa, vise versa. Please let the embassy decide...apart from that all information to be filled in a short or long stay form are identical, so why kill yourself for what will be officially decided by the embassy themselves based on the evaluation of your purpose and intent?

Yes it can be done in Abuja. There is someone at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that did notarization for me, he said they have a translator he could link me to. But I have done mine now so did not bother to get back to him. However my apology for sounding so, I am stressed out with work maybe that's y.

@dencotext, please do you know how much translation of documents cost and where it can be done in Abuja? Thanks.
I did all the translations myself and it was accepted in Italian embassy Abuja for my WAEC and Italian embassy San Francisco for my degree. But when I did translations for one lady she said the Nigerian woman at the Lagos embassy turned her away to go to their recommended translator. I am done with this type of help.

So please contact someone else to help you on this matter or tackle it yourself.

I went to Abuja embassy and have collected my WAEC/NECO results. I met someone from nairaland there who came for the same purpose, and even pointed out that he saw my post on nairaland and sent me an email, but I didn't respond.

As usual the oyibo consular officer cracked jokes with me and made sure he ran around to sort out things for me...the black lady in charge of those documents could not help but whisper to me when he stepped out that "this man like you o". And sure when it was time to say goodbye (forever), the man hugged me and said some very unusual touching words which I cannot mention here...

Well I also applied thru vfs on July 25 and its 13 days now for me. So what appointment are you talking about? When its ready, you'll have to collect via vfs and not the embassy... appointment should happen only in special cases when your attention is really needed I guess. How long have you applied that you are moaning?

Why not apply via VFS to avoid appointments provided this third-party is empowered to collect your documents on your behalf, you do not need to go to the embassy.

please house. are we to fill the visa form c or form D? which of them
I don't think it matters. I filled mine via VFS website and its the visa C form. What matters is that you are able to fill the form online and print it out without having to fill it with hand. And its the form C you can do that on VFS site. They embassy will decide which visa type to give you eventually I guess!

Why is this forum dead now?

Please share your story! Its been 8 days now I applied for student visa via VFS and still waiting. What about you?
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dencotext: 7:31pm On Aug 02, 2017
We are now in August. Has anyone been granted student visa or denied visa yet? Please share your story.

Counting, this is 8 days since I applied at VFS and I am still waiting for update. All I can see while tracking my visa progress via VFS website is that my document is still being processed at the Italian embassy. I forgot to tick one item on my visa form... the type of visa, all because vfs application form carries visa C and no visa D. Will that be costly? I no dey smile anymore. What about your story progress?

[Let me be candid with you, if the person can raise it to a million naira it will be better, they are concern with the inflow of cash in and out of the account, i applied for my visa with less than 1.5m and i was granted, so far the account has a good inflow
OK tell us your testimony... is it student visa and what did you do to be granted the visa? Did you apply directly or via VFS and how long did you wait?

My people please i have a question, my sponsor bears another surname but she is my sister, her husband's surname. Her total turnover in the last six months is 6m but the current amount in her account is 300plus but she is a salary earner, is it good to use it to apply for visa cus she is my sponsor?
Firstly, it is a sponsor account so a huge chunk of money upfront like not less than 2M deemed OK for one year is more desirable. Secondly 300k is not enough for flight tickets, accommodation and school fee. At least 2000euro and above could take care of those stuffs minus a flight ticket... so that account is not even OK yet! Do not consider turnover when the current balance is not OK to take you there to complete enrollment.
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dencotext:
When I mentioned about "attestation of photograph" people dey wonder. Go to your university website and check the requirements for enrollment. May be I am dreaming or using a different word, but what do they mean by.. For instance Bologna university stated that for their enrollment, you must obtain from the Italian embassy "an authenticated passport photo" what do you think they are referring to here? Your international passport? No!

Passport photo is too tiny to stamp or sign on it, so I think it is that paper that my passport photo was attached to and stamped, and signed on the paper, then they wrote that my photograph have been authenticated by Italian embassy, giving all the details of my names, passport no and date of birth of the person's photograph they authenticated.

The truth is that since Italy embassy Abuja is not issuing visa but Lagos, then maybe the extra photograph you attached for your visa application, or provided during your preenrollment in Lagos in person, will be authenticated and given back to you eventually. It must not follow the order Abuja Italy embassy gave me, which was during my enrollment.
