Hello Nairalanders,

Note: We did all the construction works in 2018 alone. It's finishing we started in 2019. For all the projects we are showing here.

It is a good honor and privilege to be part of this great forum and most especially this property section. It is also important to note that the works you are about to see, are all owned by Nairalanders here as well who has found us worthy of handling their design and construction projects.

These projects are situated not in one location. Meaning. We can work in your location except a few remote areas that has security challenges.

We personally designed this projects from the brief handed over to us by the Nairaland individual, and we ended up designing to their taste and even exceeding their expectations during the course of the construction.

to set 100 block is one bag of cement
To set 400 block let us say 5 bags

Hello. Please watch your word. And stop misleading people here. Did I hear you say one bag of Cement would set 100 blocks. Pls you don't need to be on this thread. I swear. Where on earth do you set 100 blocks with one bad of Cement. No wonder why buildings fail. At what mixture rate are you using. You just exposed yourself and your flaws. It's totally unbearable to say that. If you are not well informed don't speak. Watch. Read. Learn. Than giving people wrong advice.

Normal mix ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 of 9 inches would give you approximately 40 - 50 blocks for one bag of Cement then 55 - 65 for 6 inches.

Where did you get your 100 from. Be careful please. People here talk anyhow to run other peoples job down.

I like most replied you have gotten so far here.

But if will look at this quote very well is not too much on high side as some people exaggerated it.
Although few of the items are slightly on high side.

A. The size of your suckaway and septic tank will determine the cost.

1.cost of digging 2 unit of complete suckaway/ septic tank in lagos range btw 25-30 for 1unit, means 50- 60k for the 2 unit.(your quote says 50k STILL GOOD RATE.

2.Setting of block for the 2 unit will cost you around . Let say each unit is 400 block x2=800 ×50each=40,000
Your quote says 48,000 SLIGHTLY OK this will based on the size of the Suckaway/septic tank.

3.Carpenter : here in lagos for each unit it will cost about 10-15 x 2uint 20-30 ( this depends on area)

4 Iron bender same as carpenter.

5 .labour for casting both the columns, beam, and slab for the 2 unit will cost around 25-35k ( this also depends on your location bcs some labour now charge 3k for casting and bricklayer 3.5k.

Material.

CEMENT; 40 bags of cement for the 2unit means 20bags for each unit (a) settings of 400 block, floor casting, beams, columns, slab with good ratio lats say ratio 1;2;4 i will say ( your quote of 40bags is PERFECTLY OK

REINFORCEMENT, .as i said ealier .the size of the septic tanks will determine this but something 35-40 lenght of 12mm will do the beam, columns, slab of the 2 units.(note this is for regular septic tanks and suckaway)

But if you are still not ok with him you can buy your materials

Cost of Labour and materials and quality of construction varies from location to location. No client should use the basis of one work to judge others. People cut corners alot and do very unstable jobs now making a client feel as if he is cheated. If not why not contact the big Ogas in the field and see their rates. Ira by per square meter construction which takes care of materials and Labour and profit and all.

So I join you to say that client should be mindful of how they try to run someone down because of a quote. I think what you need to do as a client is to call the person that did the quote to explain why some variables are the way they are. It's when the person don't give you satisfactory response that you can come here. Instead of tagging him a thief.

My take. Alot of us here are victims of such accusations. Not necessarily me, but from what I see here. That's the case. Client want cheap Labour but good job.

You can't eat your cake and have it in construction.
Be wise. Be mindful. Everyone has the right to fair hearing.
