If your friend works or have a business that brings in good amount of money then your friend can sponsor himself without your contribution. Even if you have all the money needed he still need to proof his strong tie to home country.

my friend has got strong ties to home country as he his a student, but not sure he has the financial capacity, i just wanna know if the bank statements i have to produce have to be exactly 3 months or older or cld t be earlier..... or there could be another sponsor different from both of us?

cc @justwise ... I wanna find out about what other alternatives are there to invite a friend over as a general visitor.... the main problem is bank statements for 3 months to show i can sponsor the person as i have just been here for under a month.. the friend would like to come over by xmas though, but applying earlier i blv is okay to leave time for eventualities..

Okay, so I booked flight for saturday, then decided to pray, count on faith and pay Etiebet's place a visit yesterday, and yeah visa was neatly embossed on my passport, sealed and collected.

For those who wanna know how long? I applied 8th Sept, Submitted biometrics 17th Sept @Vfs ikeja, Approval mail came on 25th Sept, Picked passport up 3rd Oct. My visa says issued 23rd though. I didn't get an SMS even though I paid for it. And I didn't register with TPcontact.

For my team-tier4 still waiting, best wishes, pls pray, I believe yours would all be out soon. I'll be heading off to the airport pretty soon, still packing up
So if ya see a plane fly by, it might just be me in there, say hi and wave a lil to the sky and thank God for me, it would mean a lot to me.

I did, but I added my BSc certificate, just in case

TP can be crazy, my visa was granted on d 22nd, TP told me it was granted on d 29th. I suggest you go there and make enquiries, they r specialists on time wastage.

It's a shame that TP is taking over in a very busy time like this since they are new to the system. They should have come on board during the winter and gain experience when traffic is less.

At first I saw nothing, but ever since I contacted ukvi and they replied me, I've been able to track it on their site

Just got my visa from TP VI, thanks a lot all, TP ain't organized at all, but thank God I got t in time as it had been issued since 22nd. Best of luck to those waiting for theirs

TP can like to put someone's mind on an anxiety level though, they don't send approval mails, just to come pick ur passport and other documents. Just got the mail now though. Going for it 2mao #Totalfaith# #God'sgrace#

They didn't specify actually, but on TP it says 29th(today) although I got the ukvi mail yesterday

I tried to call their number but all the advisors were busy and I didnt have the patience to wait. If you decide to call, be ready to pay for the service with your visa or mastercard.

Austyn316: I was about to ask you the same question too. I applied at Teleperformance VI on September 17, 2014 and I believe it's not too early to want to find out the status of my application.

The other two times I have applied for UK visas I got my passport back within 11 consecutive days. I will also contact UKVI.

Go to d site and and fill in d required details.
NB. Check ur spam folder regularly, as their reply went into my spam folder.
They should reply within 24hrs!

After making enquiries from ukvi, I was sent a mail saying a decision has been made yesterday. Dunno how soon I can go to TP to check?

Amdan: @justwise. The visa fee of N86k+ does it include the fee for TB test or would I pay USD130 for TB separate and N86k+ separate for visa processing? Also, is there a waiver in the visa or TB test fee for dependants e.g. wife, baby etc or are the fees same across board for both student and dependants (whether young or adult)?

The fee for d TB test is not part of d visa fee, $530 for d visa fee and $130 for d TB test. And it is compulsory for every one who would be staying for more than six months in the UK young or old. The fee for the TB test for young children I think is not as much as DAT though.

Yhhh it wasn't anything fraudulent, just some insufficient documents stuff, and I decided not to appeal as time wasn't on my side. I just hope I get a response from TP asap, as I get restless easily, with all these stories of delays here and dere.
