Every experienced driver knows that it's important to be cautious and patient when you approach a big truck on the road, but what most motorists don't know is just how dangerous it is to drive next to one. Driving directly next to a tractor trailer can be fatal If the truck loses control or has to change lanes quickly, you're going to get crushed because the truck has nowhere else to go. Cars often get stuck behind other vehicles that don't pass trucks quickly enough, and in the case that the driver has to move suddenly or avoid an accident, the car stuck next to it will be in danger. If you have to pass a truck, do it as fast as possible. The longer you stay beside the truck, the more likely you are to experience problems. Let's talk about tire blow out .. It's exactly like hearing a bomb go off, and sometimes the tire exits the truck with such force that it will knock a car off the road. The impact from a tire blowout could cause you or the truck driver to lose control of your vehicles, which could lead to swerving and collisions. If you see a truck experience a tire blowout, lay back and create space between your vehicle and the truck.Pass it quickly only when you know it's safe. perhaps this would save someone someday If we all remember to avoid lingering next to trucks, everyone on the road will be safer.

U.S. airlines without Boeing 747s are a bit like french fries without ketchup. Sure, you can do it, but it's just not the same. United Airlines announced Wednesday the iconic jumbo airliner will leave its fleet for good a year sooner than first planned. United will retire the humped 747-400 jetliner by October -- an announcement that follows Delta Air Lines' plans to send its 747 fleet to a desert retirement this year. "It's a bittersweet milestone — this jumbo jet with its unmistakable silhouette once represented the state-of-the-art in air travel," wrote United president Scott Kirby. The 'Queen of the Skies,' the 747's royal moniker, has been in United's fleet in some iteration for nearly a half century, first flying with the airline in 1970 between California and Hawaii. The 747 is no ordinary airliner. It came along at a time of the U.S.'s ascent to superpower status in the 1960s and was as much a symbol of Cold War engineering prowess as it was a democratizing force for inexpensive global air travel. When it debuted in 1989, the 747-400 was a world beater. Already on its fourth generation, the jumbo could fly up to 7,200 nautical miles and airlines flocked to it for its ability to fly non-stop to and from Asia from the U.S. and Europe even if they couldn't fill the roughly 400 seats aboard. Twenty-eight years later, its cutting edge has dulled and its fuel-guzzling ways, expensive maintenance and low marks from United's passengers sealed its fate. The venerable jumbo has been on the decline for two decades, hastened by Boeing's own moves and an airline preference for big twin-engine airliners like the 777. The 747-8, Boeing's latest version, has won few orders by comparison and production has slowed to a half dozen annually. The Chicago-based carrier is expecting 14 new twin-engine Boeing 777-300ERs to be flying in its fleet by the end of 2017 and the first of 35 Airbus A350-1000 jets arrive in 2018. While the 747 will officially leave scheduled U.S. airline fleets this year, a few 747s will still be operated by U.S. charter airlines and will continue to be a staple of cargo carriers like UPS for decades to come. And of course the most recognizable 747 of them all, Air Force One, continues on for U.S. presidents. http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/12/news/companies/united-airlines-747-jumbo-queen-retirement/index.html?sr=fbCNN011217united-airlines-747-jumbo-queen-retirement0930AMStoryLink&linkId=33309678

No one is talking about this death trap on Obada - Adigbe road. This bridge reduces the traffic towards ita oshin and also a shorter route into Abeokuta from the Lagos -Abeokuta road. Please share widely until the situation is remedied.
