Politics / Re: National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) = RUGA 2.0. by deomelo: 3:11am On Jul 04, 2019 |
Blue3k: For the states with the noisemakers and internet mob, the plan is all about voluntary participation so it's perfectly ok if some state governors govern based on the level of noise they measured on social media platforms, but I'm 100% sure many sensible, rational and forward-looking governors will tap into the plan and make it beneficial for their people. If you seek an end to herdsmen and violent clashes within your borders and generate investments, growth, and IGR at the same time, this is a great plan for them to tap into. It's pretty much redundant to expect some folks in Nigeria to reason beyond their predisposed tribal and regional sentiments or even reason with the FG in any way. If PMB turned the whole of their region into Dubai and put 1 billion dollars in their pockets, he's still going to be the devil and the hate won't go away. The FG and or the general society cannot change them or alter their predisposed self-loathing and hating ways, but the rest of us must move on to better things. |

Blue3k: We are too needlessly divided to do anything collectively in Nigeria for obvious tribal, religious and other reasons, we even deny ourselves progress and development just to prove our tribal and regional points. RUGA/NLTP is a wonderful and way forward solution that addressed so many beneficial issues, but the FG even though did a terrible job selling the plan to Nigerians, but it really doesn't matter because regardless, sections of the country still won't get on board, they will deny themselves the benefits involved. It is OK to be against FG programs and policies based on sound and logical reasons, but in Nigeria, nothing is based on sane logic, it's always about tribe and tribalism. The plan plainly asserted that it's optional so instead of railing against the plan in it's entirety, why not just lobby your state governors to either accept or don't accept the plan, it's very simple. Some states are already implementing the plan as we speak and others are in the process of implementation. The plan is already off the ground in some states and states like Adamawa, Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Ondo, and Edo are already onboard. The internet noisemaker doesn't know what they stand to lose, but at the end of the day, their states will fall in line once the noise dies down. |

Politics / Re: National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) = RUGA 2.0. by deomelo: 1:02am On Jul 04, 2019 |
Blue3k: The National Livestock Transformation Plan, under which the Ruga programme is allegedly subsumed, was approved by the National Economic Council (NEC), which state governors as its members and chaired by Vice President Osinbajo. NEC had on January 17, approved the plan, predicating its decision on the recommendations of a technical committee of the Council chaired by state. Well, the NEC approved NLTP back in January with the support of state governors including Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi, the chairman of the technical committee. NLTP is a comprehensive livestock plan and I hope and pray it's implemented because it addressed every aspect of livestock investment and production, livestock industrialization, value chain and jobs, livestock trade, distribution, export and so on and at the same time end herdsmen issue, rustling and banditry at the same time. |

https://foodprocessorsng.org/national-livestock-transformation-plan-nltp-2019-2028/ The new and favored plan by the states is the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) Unfortunately for the negative elements shouting all over the internet, it's practically RUGA 2.0, same thing, different packaging. All the noise and bruhaha for nothing. I think the FG used bait and switch or reverse psychology.. |

baby124: You are not making any sense, generalization is ignorance, not all herdsmen are killers and the fact that PMB is a cattle farmer doesn't mean he hired herdsmen to roam the country or kill people in your village. His cattle don't roam around because they graze within the 4 corners of his farm. Think and reason like an adult and stop blabbing ignorant rubbish and meaningless generalizations. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

baby124: Freedom of rights and criminal activities are separate issues, you are rightfully allowed to criticize government actions and inactions regarding criminal activities, but you cannot deny other Nigerians their freedom of rights to move freely and settle in any part of Nigeria. People from your state, towns and villages are committing violent crimes in other parts of Nigeria, but is it ok to take away their freedom of rights? Your problem is bigotry. 1 Like 1 Share |

If you are going to criticize or argue against anything, add your own credible solutions and ideas instead of blabbing meaningless rubbish for likes on NL. Lazy Nigerian youths just can't come up with a sane and rational solution to anything, they have nothing to offer beyond criticism, emotional and sentimental rants, tribal and sectional sentiments. Instead of criticizing, prove to your state and FG that you have better and workable ideas that you are even free to share with us on NL. 2 Likes |

kelvinginzie: Right now when crimes are allegedly committed by the herdsmen, they are hard to locate and bring to justice because they are mobile, but when they are confined to the designated location, it means you know where to go when they transgressed, it means an end to clashes between herdsmen and farmers, it means they have no business roaming around your communities, it means regulated, industrial livestock practices and extra income for state and LGs and ultimately, more jobs. People from your own state are in other states and have settled with wives and children so what's your point? You have more rights than other Nigerians just because they are Fulani people? Yes, we hate the fact that bad elements within the herdsmen community are killers and dangerous elements, but it doesn't mean we should fold our hands and do nothing or find and institute permanent solutions. ...besides, the program is optional, they are not forcing your state or local governments to participate so lobby your state government not to participate, it's niit by force. |

Sad to see the President suspend the RUGA program, but I do understand the reason for the cancelation, but the president shouldn't have cave because the golden part of leadership is making though, critical and unpopular decisions. Nigeria wasn't built or created to be a successful country and I don't see Nigeria becoming a great Nation any time soon simply because Nigerians are not ready to claim any manner of greatness. The cry, wail, lament and demand positive actions by the government to address burning and critical issues facing them, but they trash, ground disrupt every government action and solution because of their own self-division, paranoia, ignorance, tribalism and bigotry. Corrupt Politicians are unaccountable and still loot us day after day because they know we are divided and they have their own local tribal elements and bigots to defend them by playing either the religious, tribal or ethnic card to muddy up the charges against them even before the corrupt politicians hire their own multi-million naira SANs. RUGA is a practical and sensible solution and it's not even new government policy, it's been around since independence and there are RUGA settlements in Nigeria as we speak. We can not prevent herdsmen from roaming around the country the same way we can not prevent other Nigerians from leaving their towns and villages to live or seek daily bread in other states. RUGA means you won't see herdsmen roaming around your towns and villages, it means zero confrontations with farmers and local communities because RUGA is a controlled and licensed environment, a genuine place of business, a tax generating establishment where cattle farmers will safely practice real ranching operations under strict government supervision. Some of us are hypocrites, socially and tribally confused, culturally lost, mentally twisted and corrupt and we can not make serious decisions to better ourselves and our country because tribal, regional and political affiliations are wells we draw our decision making from, we respond to issues based on paranoia, bigotry, tribalism and gross ignorance. We can not solve our own problems so we elect and pay our leaders to solve our problems while at the same time turn around to fight every government solution, every government program, and policy. You did not defeat RUGA, you are the loser. 1 Like |

Putting my team together to give a robust response to what? Arrogance and insolence. This animal must be impeached, recalled or forced to step down and be prosecuted and sent to jail after paying serious fines and restitution. Must the nursing mother be physically assaulted, abused and degraded just because she asked you to take it easy? And to make matters worse, the cop should have stopped and arrested the animal, but he arrested the poor victim instead. They need to sack the cop too. This is just too heartbreaking. 1 Like |

We, however, hope that he will indeed be PROSECUTED and not PERSECUTED. lmao of @ athiefKulooter double speaking and not making sense. It's either you are or not against prosecution, not playing hide and seek and trying to have it both ways. When looters are under investigation and or facing prosecution, they yell and shout witch hunt and persecution instead of facing and addressing the charges against them. Why not just ask Sarathief to do the same thing you are doing, have your day in a court of law if he's really innocent instead of yelling persecution. Bunch of crooks |

She had revealed that she gave millions of dollars to the then Special Adviser to the President on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa, to open accounts for her. Check out the looting and stealing scheme.. She gave the money to her proxies to deposit while trying to hide the fact the fact that the money came from her since. Her proxies then tried to hide and shield their own ass because they obviously knew it was bad and ill-gotten money so instead of opening the accounts i their own names, they used the names of their servants, but only Patience Jonathan had access and privileges to spend the money, not the poor servants even though the money is technically their money. The woman is a dumb crook, no more using innocent people to steal and hide money with proxies.. |
