IMPORTANT!!!

I just finished my biometrics now. Please ba, when you get to the centre, don't mind all those people outside asking you to take digital passport.
The only documents needed for biometrics include:

1) Biometrics Validity Letter printed from your IRCC portal. Black and white or colored.

2) Biometrics Appointment Letter from VFS(Black and White or colored)

3) Colored photocopy of International Passport.

Get 2 copies Each of the documents above.

Take your International Passport with you too.

PS - Even if it hasn't gotten to your appointment time and you're there, try hang around(especially if the queue outside isn't much). You'll be eventually asked in.

AFTER YOU'RE ASKED IN

-You'll be checked by the security Incase you're carrying bomb. grin

- You'll be asked to climb the stairs by your right to the first floor. Please open and enter the first door(specifically for Lagos Center)

- When you're in the hall, ask any of the security officers what to do. They'll give you a form to fill. Please fill only the marked places on the form (the security officer should mention this too)

-After filling the form, you'll join to queue to be attended to by a lady. Show her your Appointment letter, and She'll assign you a receipt containing your token number. Try cram the number so you no go miss your turn.

- Listen carefully as the intercom calls the token numbers and the booths they should go to.
Before your token number is called, arrange all the documents your brought, with your international passport and take them to the booth. The officer will arrange them and append a receipt.

-Again, listen to the intercom for your token number.
This time you'll be assigned to the booth where your fingerprints and photograph will be taken by the officer.

I hope this helps someone.

IT WILL END IN PRAISE

Kimkalash:
Hi guys, sorry it took this long.

Did not do covid test. No one checked my luggage in Lagos. Just went to the Ethiopian airlines stand, gave them enrolment letter, admission letter, arrive can receipt photocopy and I checked in my luggage. Begged the checker to put me by the window for all flights up to Newfoundland, he did and i just tipped his something. Went to have breakfast and then dashed towards the boarding gate. As expected, na only pilot no tax me. Plane left around 2. We got to Addis Ababa around 9.
Getting out of the plane, we rushed to the boarding gate to get set for Dublin. Plane left around 11 and we got to Dublin about 8 hrs later I think. This was so so long. There was quite a delay at Dublin I think because of logistics but from Dublin to Toronto it took us about 7 hrs. The journey was long for me as my max before now used to be around 5 hrs.

We got to Toronto, waited for about 30 minutes in the plane, went straight to border services, filled a few forms, showed our arrive can, boarding pass and passport and then we were directed towards immigration. The guy just came to us, asked us for passport, tuition receipt/enrolment verification, declaration form and admission letter. 10 minutes later, he called me, gave me back my documents and issued my study permit and gave me a paper to direct me on how to get my social insurance number, then that was all.

Checked in my luggage going to Newfoundland. It was still past 11 and my flight was for 9:30 pm so i just followed my Nigerian friends going to Vancouver to their boarding gate, gisted and saw them off at past 2. Then it was only me. This was draining. I then began to tour the airport and met a South Sudanese woman with whom I discussed the state of our countries and neo-colonialism. She's a Canadian citizen so she enlightened me a whole lot and when she realized i didnt have cash cause I was complaining on phone that i was hungry, she gave me 20 U.S dollars but the mumu me went to Italian to buy ham, bacon and coke. I forcefully finished it o.

Went to my boarding gate 2 hrs prior and saw a white guy. Moved closer to him and started a conversation. He was speaking fast so my accent also had to change. We discussed Trump, liberalism, Canada's plan towards development and economic expansion, American and Chinese trade wars and the beauty of data analytics in Insurance. A few minutes to board, we parted and he got to the plane first as per him seat be like first class.

I later got on the plane but when the plane paced around the runway, i think it began to have issues so the captain said we'd return to the gate and do a system refresh on the plane. It delayed for two hours. I sha know say after like five minutes wey plane move up, i don sleep. Before I know, e don remain 8 minutes to land. Landing was thrilling cause the journey from Lagos was long. I got to the NFL border, took my luggage, approached the border official, submitted my passport, travel declaration form and my GT atm card for indentification. She spoke her English and then freed me. I met my greeter and he put me in the cab but failed to tell the porter i was coming cause he was attending to two others.

The cabman dropped me and I knocked and knocked but nobody came through. I was just on a shirt. I languished in the cold, shouted for help but no one came through. I saw a car pass by and slowly approached the car and an Asian lady listened to me, asked me to wait and she called her supervisor. I ran across the road for like five minutes to limit the effect of the cold and then she drove towards me and gave me a number to call but that was when the other two guys came and the porter came around. I went in, called the greeter, fuckling blast him and he apologized. I was then shown my room and I checked in for isolation. I am in quarantine.
A mix of experiences you see?
Interesting!!!
Thank You for sharing.
I wish you a wonderful experience in Canada!

I think this is the list of emails.

Good Morning Everyone.
Congratulations to Everyone that has received a positive response, and Congratulations to those of us waiting grin

Please I've got a question about the NSE route. I know it's been talked about so much, but I don't know if this has been pointed out.
For The 30kCAD POF, should it have been in the account from the count of the 6 months period or should it have been developed within period?

Some persons mentioned it should be in your account 6 months before you apply, so if you're applying in December, there should have been 30kCAD in your account by June.
I'd like to know if this is correct.
Thanks Guys

All this was possible with 5k data on Airtel and YouTube. All these pages are on YouTube except that website. Watch a lot of videos and practice typing on your laptop (I took the CBT) if doing computer based. I only practiced for four days (serious practicing ohh. I always read all morning and afternoon, rest and continue reading from 9 pm till 6 am in the morning. At some point I gave up and stopped reading cuz I was having headaches. But preparing like this on a short notice would pay off.
Also, how long did it take you to get the results? Since you wrote the computer based test

First Bank is not available.
What can I do?

awys:
You can do it that way let him go to the bank branch tomorrow and ask they will do it for him .It's ideal though you have some funds in the account and depending on the relationship between you and him like if he is your father it's a strong one then it can fly but have also seen where someone got approved using uncle as sponsor ooo don't get me wrong but then it's always better to be on a safer side and makes the Application strong if your sponsor is your father or mother that's what I think other gurus can add their opinions.it can work for you but people also get denied for the fact that they didn't put their own SOA like there is no financial status coming from the applicant itself and if the relationship is far again like inlaw etc they might raise an eye brow but all these depends on the VO assessing the Application and God some use it and get approved and some aren't lucky and gets denied based on financial status so it depends

Okay. So today I got my TRV. I used a Lagos address for the courier delivery, but I came down to Lagos yesterday, called UPS customer service and got the Rider on phone. Had to block him at Lawanson all the way from Ikosi ketu.
It's exactly 10 months today that I submitted my application at Vfs lagos. It was trying!
But it's worth the wait. Did I see someone saying he won't reapply because they refused him even with full funding? They will approve your 2nd application, that's usually the way it's done. I was also denied on my 1st application, and I was even partially funded and none of the refusal concerns was about finance. Ask around, you will get the right information specific about your case, as there are no 2 same application.

Complete landing gist

I flew from Uyo to Lagos on Tuesday evening and I stayed with a family friend for the night. I arrived the airport around 10am for a flight of 1.40pm. I thought I was early until I saw the queue. Quick tip: even if your flight is for 6pm, get to the airport around 12pm and stay there till they are ready for you cheesy.

Ethiopian airlines usually do manual verifications of all students travelling to Canada. You really need to be there on time for this because the man doing it is slow and doesn't care about your time. He asked for proof of enrollment, admission letter, ArriveCAN slip, and visa page. Please make at least two copies of all of these too. After showing him, he'll snap and then send to someone via WhatsApp to verify. Once confirmed, your passport will be given a number and you'll then proceed to where it will be scanned again for secondary verification. After this stage, you will then go to where you can get a boarding pass.

The plane left Lagos around 2pm. I was seated at the back and had space to stretch legs smiley. We got to Addis Ababa around 7pm (Nigeria time) and then we entered a long queue for onward movement. From Addis Ababa, we went to Dublin for refueling and then to Toronto. Upon arrival, we talk a long walk (very long o) and got to immigration people. The woman that attended to me asked for these (in the following order):
1. Declaration slip (will be given to you in the airplane)
2. Passport
3. LOI
4. Student Status letter (enrolment letter)
5. School fees/tuition receipt
6. ArriveCAN page (apparently, I didn't even fill my own well and was delayed for a while. Make sure you fill yours well)
7. POF
8. LOA

She asked me the following:
Which department were you admitted into?
Why did you choose MUN?
What is your name?

Then she took my finger prints and issued me a Study Permit for 3 years (my program is for 2 years but I don't know why it was issued in excess).

I went to wait board a St John's flight after a long wait at the airport. Got to St. John without qualms. Reach my apartment, checked in and slept off.

Exams start on Monday. Canada is beautiful and nice. I love the place. Good luck to all who are applying or will soon come.

It has ended in praises.
This is a Beautiful Update. Thank God for Journey Mercies, and goodluck in your exams.

It'll end in Praise for us too
