JustMellow: Hello Deommanuel,
You're right. Updating the new DLI's number and/or student number is done through the Gckey online account. The information on how to begin is clearly visible. Lastly, there is no need raising a CSC for this purpose.
Cheers! Thank You for responding Boss |

olasubomy: Hi Bisola,
The documents to give DHL are:
* Original International Passport * 2 Copies of the VFS consent form * Copy of your Biometric acknowldgement slip. * A copy of the Passport Request Letter from IRCC * Evidence of payment of the Transmission fee ( This should be paid if you want to use VFS Abuja and your biometrics was not done in Abuja) * An envelope which you would hand over to DHL . ( write clearly your full residential address, email and phone number and the address of VFS Abuja at the otherside) * Pay for a two way courier ( so DHL will be giving you two waybill with tracking numbers, one for shipping to Abuja and the other for return courier to your residence in Lagos), * Being an important document, you can pay for insurance with the courier fee.
I would recommend you send to VFS Abuja, they are faster than Lagos.
Congrats!!! Instead of staying in Lagos and wasting all that time, I'll just send my passport to Abuja from this Aba where I stay. @otunbatee , @awys, @teemade are y'all with me? |

Mildred01: Please is the enrollment letter compulsory We’ve not been able to get to the school.. no response from them yet and she is leaving tomorrow. Thank you Hello! I also read on some occasions that the enrollment letter is sent to students who have paid Tuition(Kindly correct if this information is wrong guys). If your sister's school doesn't require she pay tuition before coming over, she most likely won't need the letter. But you'll probably need proof of this, like screenshots of where that's stated on the school's website. I wish her a safe trip to Canada. crazyinlove: Hi guys, I found that VFS gave a wrong address to UPS. I had to double check if the mistake was from me but it was an error from their end. I have sorted this with UPS and I pray to get the passports in coming days. However, I think we really need to fight this courier being the only option for passport pickup. It doesn't seems to be reliable. They should be able to allow people to schedule appointment for passport pickup instead forcing everyone to use courier. A lot of applicants are in Lagos and can easily go pickup their passport themselves without using the courier. I'm glad it has been sorted out. Thank you for the update. Let's hope they've got reasons for allowing courier pickups only. IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME |

toller: Thanks for your response, 1. if I don't do an upfront medical, what stage of the process would I be requested to go do the medicals, and if I'm asked to go do medicals, does that mean the application is about to be approved. 2. Where can I get this medicals done, what information would be and how much does it cost.
Lastly,is one required to pay for Biometrics or rescheduling of Biometrics? Any information about the mode of Ielts to write for this NSE? my IELTS expired last month and i got the NSE mail few days ago.
I pray it ends in praise for everyone 1) If you don't do an upfront medical, you'll be asked to go for one. I don't know what stage to call that . I've heard from different sources that if you're asked to go for medicals, you're almost sure the deal is done, if not completely sure (that's unless you fail the medical test) 2) You can get the medicals done at either an IOM or Q-Life Clinic. I think those are the only two I've seen on Nairaland. IOM charges around 46,000 while Q-Life charges N40,000 or thereabout. (If you check the Q-Life Clinic you'll see what they require you to bring for the medicals) Below is a link to the thread where the processes involved for booking an upfront medicals were listed. https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/630#96679974 I hope you find all these helpful. oyibo4real: Bikonu, ejòò, please someone should come to my rescue before I submit my application. While you wait for more knowledgeable persons to respond, here's my take.. You'll need to know your Fanshawe's refund policy. I think that's the most important thing. So your 8500 don't go like that. I've read alot of comments about letting IRCC know of a transfer to a new school after you've gotten to Canada. I'm almost sure that can work in your situation. Kindly allow other persons to contribute. Cheers!! |

OtunbaTee: I am still surprised at how IRCC works though...there's no definite pattern. I think the aim is to find myself in that office and cause a change. You shouldn't keep someone that applied in March 2020 and answer July, or June for February n vis-a-vis...this waiting is soul draining... Kind of you to want to cause a change . You'll have to explain the lump sum, the sender, reason for sending, sender's information, etc. This is so it doesn't look like an outright loan. You'll get better responses from others soon. TheShaman: Hello All, I have been a silent reader of this thread for months now; reading and learning from everyone here. It would be amiss if I don’t share my timeline with the house now that the journey has come to fruition:
First Application Timeline Application: Sept 1, 2020 Refusal: Sept 15, 2020 Biometrics: Sept 16, 2020 Refusal Reason: Purpose of Visit and Personal Finances/Assets
After the refusal, I decided against ordering my GCMS notes because I felt that I could recognize where I made mistakes and where I could improve upon them. I read GCMS notes of profiles similar to mine and learned from there and proceeded to craft my next application within 15 days. I also chose to continue with my online studies as I had already started on Sept 8th, 2020.
Second Application Timeline Application Date: Oct 1, 2020 NSE Request: Nov 18, 2020 NSE Requirements Submission: Dec 15, 2020 Medical Request (MER): Dec 15, 2020 Medicals: Dec 29, 2020, at IOM Ikeja MER Passed: Jan 3, 2021 BVL and PPR: Jan 5, 2021 (Final Decision updated to Approved also)
For the NSE, I felt I would not adequately prepare for the IELTS to the best of my ability and chose to only submit the myBankcertificate instead. I planned to write the IELTS Exams in January 2021 and send the results via webform. I only submitted the myBank certificates just as @Popoolam did.
Application Documents: 1. All IMM Forms 2. Conditional LOA and subsequent confirmation mails by the school that I had met the requirements. 3. Letter of Explanation for my application detailing all I had done to address the refusal reasons from the previous application. 4. SOP of 7 Pages with different subheadings. My SOP had a well-detailed study plan showing how my BSc in Geology and work experience had prepared me for the course and Its potential benefits to me personally and Nigeria. I devoted other sections to why I chose the school, the city, and the province, and finally Canada. A section was devoted to Home ties which were majorly social and family ties and a section was devoted to explaining my study gap (I graduated in 2017). 5. All Academic Credentials (BSc Certificate and Transcript, WAEC Result, and a certification from the Technical University of Denmark relating to my proposed MSc course). 6. NYSC Discharge Certificate 7. Internship Contract and Full-Time Employment Contract for my current place of employment 8. Confirmation of Employment Letter from the office. 9. Birth Certificates of my mother and brother 10. Police Character Certificate 11. Resume/CV with a section devoted to my academic publications. 12. Letter of Support from my Research Supervisor to the Graduate Admissions Committee of the University recommending my admission (this also included a paragraph stating how my current job has prepared me for the course). 13. Family tree showing the relationship between my sponsor and I (he is the younger brother of my mother) along with family photos with both of us. 14. Evidence of financial support from my sponsor over the last 7 years (all bank credit alerts via email). 15. Pension Statement, Enrollment Letter and a funding letter I received mid-semester were submitted via web forms after I had submitted my application.
Financials 1. Letter of Financial Support from my Sponsor (my uncle) with 3 pages detailing why he was supporting my education. 2. Affidavit of Sponsorship 3. Data page of his passport 4. Tuition Payment Receipt from the school and Western Union ($3556 CAD) 5. Two Personal SOA with 4M and 6M as their balance, and one SOA of a company account (along with a bank reference/sole signatory letter) with a balance of 25M (all from my sponsor, I did not submit my own SOA or any payslip). 6. Company Documents (CAC Certificates and TCC).
NSE Documents: 1. Two myBank certificates of two company accounts 2. Bank Reference Letters for the two accounts. 3. Company Documents 4. Contract Award Letters from 2019 and 2020
Personal Profile: Male, 24 years this year, a graduate of Geology (4.0/5.00 GPA from the University of Benin).
I encourage everyone to do as much research as they can and read the previous threads as every information I used for my second application was found here. Please also pray and have faith. I sent only one of the NSE requirements while I saw others dash to write the IELTS exams with the faith that it would work out for my good. I thank all the gurus in the house for their wise words – I learned from every post on this thread and previous ones.
As the common saying here goes, delay is not denial. I wish you all the best.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! IT HAS ENDED IN PRAISES I'm testifying soon |
