evil rat which believed that, rather than fail to get a bite of the tray of cowpeas, it would pour the whole tray away.Cool translation. It makes sense. |
You sound like a kid. |
If you have common sense you will realize that my comment you have placed in bold is nothing, but a figure of speech. All I was trying to do here was to emphasize that when it comes to politics Ibadan people are not easy. One has to be very careful dealing with this group of people. I will advise you to get your brain out of the box and read my comment again. |
Akala is definitely not my cup of tea. But what do you guys expect from him? This is nothing but pure politics; right or wrong, Akala is doing what a good politician suppose to be doing. This is Ibadan people we are talking about. It doesn't take much to turn them against anything. These are the same people that made it clear during last election that no 2 terms governor in Ibadan and that was exactly what happened. These are the same people that worshiped and followed Adedibu until he died. One has to be careful dealing with this group of people, they play a totally different ball game. They are not Lagos people and definitely not Ogun state people, they are from a land where Amala can do miracle. My advise for Ajimobi is not to totally ignore Akala's comments (right or wrong), no need to present himself as classy and educated, no need to be a gentle man. It won't work in Ibadan. He needs to continue to be loyal to Ibadan people and go head on to tackle Akala blow to blow. Or else pretty soon Ibadan people we start saying this guy (Ajimobi) is not better than what we were getting (Akala). Akala's one and only job is to do whatever needs to be done to frustrate Ajimobi and turn him against Ibadan people. And this strategy is called "good Politics". It works all the time. |
And the t r o p h y goes to EKO ILE I hope you will now have a better day. |
its good to know there are people who are passionate about their leaders like you are. This is not being passionate, this is being straight up stup1d and ignorant. Your job as a governor comes first before any party; being a good leader has no party, it is either you're a good or bad leader. You're loyal to your job and to your people, party is just a temporary source of locomotive. This is why we have leaders that move from one party to another. Your loyalty belongs to the people that elected you. I agree with you, Lafruita, if I were the adviser for Governor Ajimobi, I would have advised him to stay home. |
It either this Eko Ile guy doesn't comprehend well when he reads or he is just straight up daft. It is very interesting and also sad that this kid doesn't get the main idea of this discussion. Creative used every example on this planet to send the message that it isn't about anybody or party, but about the type of leadership we are being fed in Nigeria, even Delafruita, ACN die-hard also tried his best in a very nice way, but Eko Ile is yet to get the gist. May be someone should just beat him up with a stup1d stick. I tired for this Nigerian education sef. |
Edocolove: this true, very sad and makes me sick. I mean, take a good look around this country, is there anything promising? Don't you want to cry. I think, instead all this senseless or should I say childish noise making on this forum, may be it wouldn't be a bad idea to start praying for a change we can all count on. |
They have not only killed our future, they've also killed the future of the unborn babies. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for coming out here to argue over who is the biggest thieves among these animals. This a good example why white men will always be @ the top while we Africans mold nothing. |
For any of us to come her to shout hallelujah and call any of these animals' name shows the level of mentality. I mean, look @ this country, don't you wanna cry? |
Akala is a big f0ol, Ajimobi is a butt kisser, Tinubu is an expired crook, Obasanjo is an old bully. Nigerians, wake up! There is nothing more absurd than looking up or supporting any of these Animals. They are all the same and the reason why this poor country is on the floor . |
Stampede as Bomb Scare Rattles National Assembly Official activities at the National Assembly complex were suddenly brought to a halt Tuesday afternoon following the rumour that members of Boko Haram had succeeded in planting a bomb device at the White House wing of the complex. This caused a stampede as senators, administrative and supporting staff as well as visitors ran helter-skelter out of the complex. But the National Assembly's Chief Security Officer (CSO), Col. Emeka Okere, promptly dismissed the rumour, describing it as “the handiwork of idle minds looking for any excuse to close early.” The rumour started around 3:30p.m. after the two chambers had wound up the day's plenary. Banks, business centres and restaurant operators hurriedly closed shop and asked their staff to find their way out of the complex as family members were calling their loved ones to know whether they were still in the National Assembly. A police source said the rumour started as a kite flown by the sergeants-at-arm at the main gate while trying to discourage the huge number of visitors who were bent on forcing their way into the complex. As a result of the incident, the National Assembly management immediately summoned an emergency meeting of the security services in the complex to review the situation. Since the resumption of legislative activities last week, security has been beefed up at the National Assembly complex whereby vehicular movements in and out of the premises have been seriously restricted. Only the Assembly's management staff, senators and members of the House of Representatives were allowed to drive into the complex, while other ancillary workers and visitors now park their vehicles outside the premises. Meanwhile, the Federal Government has solicited the support of the United Kingdom (UK) to tackle the rising state of insecurity which was further heightened by the recent bombing of the United Nation’s Building in Abuja. Minister of Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed, made this request Tuesday in Abuja, when he received the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Andrew Lloyd, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office. Mohammed said Nigeria needed UK’s support in the areas of intelligence sharing and supply of surveillance equipment necessary for curbing the menace of terrorism. He said: “I will also like to urge you to appeal to your government to strengthen our cooperation in the fight against terrorism. “We have some security problems in Nigeria as you are aware and we believe that the Americans, the British as well as the EU are putting a lot of attention in the bid to curb terrorism in all parts of the world. “If our security agencies work together with your agencies in the exchange of information may be in the deployment of equipment for detection, it will help not only in ensuring security in Nigerian, but world security.” The minister further appealed to the British government to assist Nigeria in her quest to resuscitate her defence industries to enable her to meet some of her military needs. Our defence industries have Mohammed also appealed to the British government to support Nigeria’s quest for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council. Responding, Lloyd said his visit to the ministry was prompted by his country’s desire to strengthen military relations with Nigeria. He said among other areas of interest, Britain would remain a strategic partner of Nigeria in the area of defence. The high commissioner promised that Britain would partner Nigeria to sustain its democracy and curb emerging security challenges. He said Britain recognised Nigeria’s importance in the quest for global peace, and pledged his country’s support for its bid for permanent seat in the UN Security Council. Lloyd noted that Nigeria’s role in the Security Council had been a benefiting one for global peace, adding that this had been evident in her role in restoring peace in the war torn Liberia, Sierra Leone and other African countries. He advised Nigeria to protect its democracy against security challenges, saying that no modern democracy in the world was immune to such challenges. Caption: Late General Sani Abacha Swiss Court Orders Retrial of Abacha’s Son By Zacheaus Somorin Switzerland's highest court has ordered the retrial of Abba Abacha, the son of former Head of State, General Sani Abacha, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported Tuesday. Abba was given a two-year suspended sentence in June 2010 for taking part in a criminal organisation, and his assets were confiscated. The retrial was ordered because he was unable to get a Swiss visa to attend the trial. There is general belief that the late Sani Abacha, who ruled the country from 1993 to 1998, may have stolen $2.2 billion (£1.3 billion). After his father's death in 1998, Abba and other members of the family controlled the funds. Nigeria had asked the Swiss government in 1999 to help it recover the money, much of which was thought to be hidden in Swiss banks. Switzerland has so far handed back about $700 million to Nigeria. Abba Abacha was ordered to return $350 million of illegally gained assets at his trial last year in the police court in Geneva. But the Swiss Federal Tribunal annulled the sentence and ordered the retrial on the grounds that Abacha's rights had been violated and because of procedural irregularities. http://www.thisdayonline.com/ |
Nigeria is finished! Selfish slave drivers are in the house. |
We shouldn't be a slave driver, let us all allow these old crooks to beat each other up, regardless of the party they belong to. @ the end I believe Nigerians will be the ones to benefit. Where is Balogun today? And where is Bode George? I think Tinubu too is going toward the same path. At least Fashola will get a chance and space to exhale. A slave drive is a f00l |
There is nothing difficult in road building. The issue here in Nigeria is selfishness, low-life mentality and lack of wisdom. A good example will be Akala of Oyo state and his little girl friend, called Femi Babalola. Femi supposed to be an engineer that was fronting for Akala during his 4years term. It wasn't only reported, but also confirmed that Akala got 80% of the amount of every single contract appointed to his girl friend. Therefore, all the road constructions that were done by Femi did not last for 6 months before they were completely dissolved or dragged away by rain water. So, to answer your question, road construction in general isn't a big deal, but heartless politicians in Nigeria refuse to the right thing. |
I think the worst is yet to come. |
I support revolution, but we must be very careful. We can indirectly follow the foot steps of the Egyptians, where the military took over until the constitution was revisited and a better structured democracy was put in place. I believe this is possible in Nigeria. All it takes is for a group of bright and courageous military officers from each regions (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba) in the country to put a sensible plan together, execute the plan and deliver the leadership of the country only after our weak constitution is empowered and enforced, and a well structured democracy is in place. I honestly do not believe that an average Nigerian is bold enough to pull what the citizens of Libya and Egypt were able to accomplished. We are not that strong, plus we love our lives too much. Bold, sensible and aboveboard military officers are the only group in Nigeria that can execute a successful revolution. Without the involvement of military a successful revolution will be very difficult to be accomplished. That is, without military involved revolution people like Tinubu, Odeli, Gbenga Daniel, Akala and others will steal our money until the return of Jesus. |
It was a joke and the dude the comment was directed to also took it well. So, I beg go somewhere before I take off my belt. |
To me, Boko Haram is our freedom fighter. Finally, somebody has discovered the light. You're a good man. Boko Haram please stop bombing innocent Nigerians, start bombing politicians who have stolen from us. This is the revolution Nigerians have been asking for. After bombing 2 or 3 houses that belong to corrupt leaders, these cowards will immediately start relocating to the neighbouring countries. You will witness Governor trying to run things from Ghana and Togo. Boko Haram, please chase all these fat heads out of the town. We need our country back. |
Corrupt Leaders = Terrorist Nigerian Police = Terrorist Lastma = Terrorist Boko Haram = Terrorist Rap them up together, soak them in petrol and feel free to light up a cigarette next to these clowns. They are all the same sh1t from the same a@s. Just make sure that Obasanjo is wearing a complete agbada. |
I honestly think that corrupt leaders are finally starting to realize that their stealing days are numbered. The attention BH is giving Nigeria may not be bad in a long run. To get this country back on track, something unprecedented must happen. Every disappointment is a blessing. |
Whenever they are together or on the phone, BH is all these looters talk about. Even though, they do not want people to know, but they are very concerned/scared. |
This people are nothing but cowards who want to live forever. They've stolen too much and they hate someone else to enjoy all the stolen loot. All it takes is BH to blow up one of corrupt leaders' house and you will see how many of them, including Obasanjo will quickly relocate to neighbouring countries |
I must confess that this is the first time in many years that I've witnessed corrupt leaders so humble and being very careful with stealing from the pocket of Nigeria. Boko Haramnism is for real. |
@Beaf: you can not be blamed for anything, after all you're the only Nigerian that still looks up to Noluck Jonadummy. So, the immunity belongs to you. Have fun. |
I'm as old as your oldest brother. Did I send Obasanjo or your father any where? When BH wasn't bombing what was going on in Nigeria for us to be proud of? BH may end up replacing the ineffective EFCC. Obasanjo is not a fool, he knows what he's doing. |
I think this is what Obasanjo is more concerned about. He has paid them a visit to make sure that his name is not included on their hit list. If Goodluck's administration isn't strong enough to eradicate corruption, I guess someone got to get the job done. I think more corrupt politicians and corruption citizens will be visiting Boko Haram Headquarters in the next few months. NIGERIA is 50 years and nothing to show for it. I think we should thank Boko Haram for giving us the necessary attention that will expose all these thieves that we called leaders. An indirect revolution we need in this country. |
Boko Haram may end up replacing EFCC very soon. I think this is what Obasanjo is more concerned about. |
Let me go get my Ghana must go bag @Toaskarity, ChallieY! Dude, don't you guys have a ghanaian website or forum? why are you here smelling our sweaty balls? I beg go find something else to do and allow Nigerians to discuss serious issues. What about ken ken and smelly fried oku-eko fish? |
