Politics / Re: Bomb Blast In Abuja by Depilot(m): 3:44pm On Jan 01, 2011
As per most Nigerians, the greatest enemies of this country are OBJ and IBB (because they have manipulated things among selves in Nigeria for many years); guess what? Buhari is not affiliated to any of these 2, in fact, Buhari sees things totally different from these 2.
If you folks want something new, something different for a change, I think Buhari may be the perfect leader Nigeria needs at this time.

Jonathan is affiliated to OBJ

Atiku is affiliated to IBB

Buhari is affiliated to Nigeria.

Buhari or same old bull sh1t!

Profound point!!!!!!!!!!

I was told that Uncle Jo did not want to run, he was pushed by Obasanjo and co into this mess.
The zoning agreement these people are making noise over pretty much brought Uncle Jo to Aso rock. Therefore, to turn his back to the agreement will definitely leave a bad taste in many people's mouth.
It is inevitable that trouble will irrupt sooner or later. There is no way the northerners will allow this election to go smoothly, and I was told that many leaders all around the world (including USA) agree with the northerners. Agreement is an agreement.

The best thing that can happen to Nigeria is for ACN to knock off PDP. Some people are already picking Buhari as their main guy.

@Rousseau
Great point; but anything is better than what these thieves are feeding us.
You do not want to see how our leaders and their families are spending our money, both in Nigeria and overseas on rubbish. It is ridiculous and unGodly.
Again, the past, current and future leaders are determined to suck this nation and all Nigerians dry till the end of time. Something drastic must happen to get our country back from these evils.

Facts, with all money generated from Oil, our country is now a great example of a hopeless land, leaders are thieves, nothing is working, our laws are nothing but expensive decorations. I think with Military intervention/sensible conditions we have nothing to lose at this point.
Politics / Re: Bomb Blast In Abuja by Depilot(m): 12:58am On Jan 01, 2011
What is going to happen sooner or later is simple, and it is called "Welcome back Military"
My prediction: Military will return with condition to stay around for may be 10 months. They will clean the house, conduct a fair election and turn power over to real people that mean well for this great country.
Nigeria is a dead spot on African map if this doesn't happen, because our past, current and future leaders are totally determined to suck this nation dry till the end of time.

We do not have to wait for these old thieves to die, we can come together and make them pay.
We can stone their cars, stone their kids, set their houses on fire, attack their wives and many more.
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Collapses In Church by Depilot(m): 1:32am On Dec 29, 2010
I joined your organization with an empty pocket. Over the years I made your organization N800b, but also pocketed N500b out of the N800b. My name is Obasanjo.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Vs Atiku by Depilot(m): 1:20am On Dec 29, 2010
Grading the 3 men:
Buhari 82%
Atiku 75%
Goodluck 15%

It won't be a bad idea to start looking at Buhari Vs Atiku.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Vs Atiku by Depilot(m): 1:12am On Dec 29, 2010
Atiku has won mostly everything he has contested. In fact, he stepped down for Abiola and not only stepped aside for Obasanjo, but also pretty much gave him the crown. One should never count him out as yet, he understands what it takes to win and has strong Nigerians from every region behind him.

Goodluck has never won a thing. He knows nothing about leading, managing or running anything. For most of his career he has followed others. The only hope he has to show Nigerians that he's capable is to come out to debate publicly; and this action may even put end to his career.

Buhari is still a very dangerous candidate. If he is smart enough to merge himself with a young sensible VP, I think he has a better chance. Buhari is a disciplined leader who doesn't need much to make great things happen in Nigeria. If enforcing our laws and seriously fighting corruption in Nigeria is our main objective, Buhari may just be the perfect man for the job.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Vs Atiku by Depilot(m): 11:48pm On Dec 28, 2010
If Buhari is successful in getting a sensible VP to contest, I think he has a better chance.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Vs Atiku by Depilot(m): 11:43pm On Dec 28, 2010
We are paying too much attention to Goodluck ( a very weak clueless leader) and Atiku (same old same). I think this time around the next president will be coming from another party.
Buhari may end up carrying the trophy.
Politics / Re: Dokpesi Arrested For Abuja Bomb Blast by Depilot(m): 9:19pm On Oct 04, 2010
It has been confirmed, Ray Dokpesi has been picked up.
Nigerians pls be ready, it is going to be a very long ride.
This country will be turned upside down by greedy sharks. And it make be a good or bad thing.

Points:
1.The election delay is designed to slow down Babangida's momentum.
2. The 50th anniversary awards to incredible Nigerians was also a tool to disable Babangida.

3.Arresting Dokpesi @ this time may also be another strategy to negatively paint Babangida's image.

Where is my passport? I'm out of this country before it's too late.

Nairaland (politics section) is now turning into a play ground for kids. This section of the site was my favorite page, but I'm not sure if this is so anymore.

A major election in our country is about to take place and the best we could come up with is talking about kobojunkie.

No disrespect to anyone, this topic doesn't belong here and I can give a fucck about kobojunkie or anybody else.

Please guys, let us talk politics; our country is about to go through a major transformation.
Politics / Re: Ibb Cautions Obasanjo by Depilot(m): 8:51pm On Aug 30, 2010
it is now clear that the only reason Jonathan is going to contest is because of the pressure from Obasanjo, which indirectly means Jonathan's government is Obasanjo's government.
Now, the question becomes what is the difference btw IBB and Obasanjo?

And also it is senseless to expect much from a person that is being pressured to contest for this position. This is not an ordinary position and I think there should be a natural drive from any candidate that is contesting to be the president of any nation.
Imagine forcing someone to be a commercial pilot, would you be willing to be a passenger on this individual's plane? I do not think so.

Jonathan should step aside and allow Nigerians to discover a leader that can produce and wants to lead this country.
Politics / Re: The Main Reason For The Annulment (from a reliable source) by Depilot(m): 3:03am On Aug 27, 2010
Again, this topic is not to support or to go against Babangida.
I will never support any politician in this country; I've seen and know enough to know better. Nigerian politicians can all kiss my black a@s.

If you ask 10 Nigerians what was behind June 12, you will get 20 stories; 2 stories per person. Everybody seems to have story that justifies their action or that sends them to bed in peace.

What I have posted is the honest truth; of course, it may be deeper, but the main intention was to protect HIMSELF, MKO and SECURITY.
Politics / Re: The Main Reason For The Annulment (from a reliable source) by Depilot(m): 1:49am On Aug 27, 2010
bk.babe97y, I can not blame you at all.
The problem is: our ignorance is first class, and this is why these politicians continue to take advantage of us.
You don't have to believe my post, but I can assure you that you will never come closer to what really went down than what I have presented

So, keep on reading Nigeria newspaper, may be you will get lucky some day.
Politics / Re: The Main Reason For The Annulment (from a reliable source) by Depilot(m): 1:37am On Aug 27, 2010
In fact, it was also revealed that indirectly he tried his best to fight in order for the election result to remain the same, but the pressure was too overwhelming. Again, Babangida may not be saying much because of his military back ground.

Babangida was the one that implemented this election from A to Z; and till today, it was still the best election ever held in this country.
I think we should also be asking ourselves that if Babangida didn't want MKO as our president how come he went out of his way  and allocated enough resources to ensure a peaceful and accurate election?
Politics / Re: The Main Reason For The Annulment (from a reliable source) by Depilot(m): 1:27am On Aug 27, 2010
Again, the move was miscalculated.
His intention was to protect:
1. Himself
2. MKO and
3. The security of the country

Babangida may not be saying everything because of his military background and the military regime that was in place during this period, but this is the honest truth.
He thought he was doing the right thing to the best of his ability at this particular time.
Politics / The Main Reason For The Annulment (from a reliable source) by Depilot(m): 1:11am On Aug 27, 2010
According the Babangida, the reason for the annulment was because of security threats to the enthronement of a democratic government at the time. This statement is not far from the truth.
In addition to the reason babangida gave, June 12 election was also annulled because of an enormous invisible threats/pressure that Babangida was facing from the current administration.

Threat/pressure: Current administration was ready to get rid of MKO shortly after officially becoming the president of Nigeria and then severely deal with Babangida.

When he (Babangida) got this news, he was very concerned not only for himself, but also sincerely for MKO and the entire democratic government at the time.
At this period, Babangida had very little control because he was (pretty much done)ready to step down; therefore, there was very little he could do to control the show.
Therefore, in order to protect himself, MKO and the security of the country, he quickly pulled the trigger by annulling the election and stepping down.

Looking at it from a military standpoint, this action wasn't totally an error or a bad move, but it was completely miscalculated because MKO ended up dieing during the process.

Please note that this topic is not to support or to go against Babangida, but only to reveal the truth.
Politics / Re: The Key To The Victory Will Simply Be The Selection Of Ibb's Vp by Depilot(m): 5:01pm On Aug 22, 2010
No matter who ever IBB pick, he would loss. IBB is know for his many lies. He lied he was going to hand over power 3 times. Before he was disgrace out of power.

Not to support Babangida or anything, but we will never move forward if we continue to look backward. As far as I'm concerned all politicians lie and steal. I think it is part of the game.
My decision is not going to be made based on who lies, it will simply be based on who can produce regardless of all these uncountable obstacles and at the same time promote unity in Nigeria.

@poster
I can not agree enough.
All it takes is for Babangida's camp to select someone that matches the qualities of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, and with Ojukwu's support or endorsement for this VP, I think sky is the limit.
Even though, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu isn't perfect, but he is still seen as a hero and high roller among Igbo nation.
Politics / Re: 2011: Ibb Educates Fct Minister by Depilot(m): 10:41pm On Aug 21, 2010
Remarks made by the FCT Minister Senator Bala Muhammed that all presidential aspirants from the Northern part of the country should withdraw and allow President Goodluck Jonathan to contest are not only sycophantic but unfortunate, former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has said.

Speaking through his Media Assistant, Prince Kassim Afegbua, Babangida said rather than concentrate on tackling the numerous challenges facing the FCT, the minister has engaged in pedestrian propaganda aimed at mobilising support for Jonathan.

Afegbua told THISDAY yesterday that rather than blame the minister, the system that produced him should be called to question.
"We were expecting the FCT Minister to roll out the achievements of the present administration which he is a part so that Nigerians could begin to assess their performance in office rather than spending tax payers’ money to organize rallies and summits in the name of drumming support for the undeclared intention of President Goodluck Jonathan .

"It is high time President Jonathan called these characters to order because they are simply overheating the system by their sycophantic indulgences. We have since gone past the era of ‘million-marchers,’ such cheap and very pedestrian propaganda to make an impression about an issue.

"This is the age of reason, of service-delivery and positive governance, of ideas that can drive the world, and not an era where hard earned resources are depleted into pockets of sycophants, political jobbers, hirelings, courtiers, jesters and hired crowds.
"With the prostrate nature of our economy, we should begin to reflect on how to bail out the country using uncommon courage, wonderful initiatives and plausible methods to confront the challenges.
"We expect to see the Federal Capital Territory developed more than how former President Babangida left it. We desire to see more infrastructural development and improved security services. These are challenges that should agitate the mind of the FCT Minister, and not going about organizing rallies and summits in the name of drumming support for our "LOVELY" President," he added. Meanwhile, a pro-IBB group Ndigbo Political Development Initiative, has urged the people of the south-east zone to support the North's bid to retain the presidency in 2011 as a way of bolstering Igbo's claim to the top job come 2015.

This right here is why Babangida still remains one of the best politicians in this country.
Politics / Re: Nuhu Ribadu Becomes Acn Presidential Flag Bearer. by Depilot(m): 9:06pm On Aug 20, 2010
downunder, Thanks for the wisdom. Now, who is the entity out there that has all the qualities you have listed?
A post without a conclusion is useless.
It is obvious that most of us are struggling and confused simultaneously when it comes to supporting the right candidate. As far as I'm concerned, none of these candidates deserve our vote. I'm not even sure if there is any Nigerian out there that has all the qualities you have listed.
Our system is defective, our people in general are mostly corrupt and nobody seems to truly care about this country, it's all about get what you can get while the fire is burning.

Talk is cheap and post is even cheaper, I think we are in trouble until all of us are ready to change our ways, and quickly realize that politicians are part of our problems, but not all our problems.

Politics / No Miracle, 2011 Election Will Be Rigged. by Depilot(m): 7:16pm On Aug 19, 2010
Election starts in less than 6 months, could you please ask your government what they have put in place to ensure a fair and an accurate election process?
What have they done differently from the 2007 election?
A country where currently a citizen is able to have up to 7 international passports (7 ID cards), what have they done to prevent this election from being another Obasanjo's Nintendo game?

I'm certain that the biggest fish/name will win this coming election, regardless of what anyone of thinks.
Politics / Re: Nuhu Ribadu Becomes Acn Presidential Flag Bearer. by Depilot(m): 6:02pm On Aug 19, 2010
If this dude can prove to Nigeria that he has developed his mentality, grown and educated himself enough to lead accordingly and approach situation systematically, I will consider casting my vote for him.

But he must first completely understand that Nigeria belongs to nobody and no Nigerian citizen is bigger than Nigeria. He doesn't want Nigeria to develop and move forward more than anyone of us here. We are all equally Nigerians who want nothing but the best for this nation.
If Ribadu can get this into his head, he has my vote

May her soul rest in peace.
Not that she deserved to be killed, but reading through the story, I started to ask myself that what was she doing wrong to drive these men crazy? Was she doing anything to make them jealous and go crazy? Did it make her feel good when men became crazy about her?
Believe it or not, some women get kick out of making their men go crazy.

Again, I'm not trying to throw blame at anyone, but we can all learn one of two things from this terrible situation.
May their souls rest in peace.

Politics / Re: President Goodluck Is Obasanjo Hand Bag by Depilot(m): 9:36pm On Aug 17, 2010
I honestly believe that Obasanjo doesn't want Babangida to take over not because he (Obasanjo) cares about Nigeria or you or myself, but because he simply knows that Babangida has a better chance and capability to positively turn things around in Nigeria for good. That will make him (Obasanjo) look bad/useless, and he definitely won't be able to handle it.
Thru Jonathan, Obasanjo has finally accomplished his 3rd term goal, and he may even get away with the 4th.

Banbangida shouldn't even be allowed to campaign. It's like Hitler appealing to the jews
First, to compare Babangida to Hitler is ridiculous and unfair. And second, if Babangida shouldn't be allowed to contest, please let us all know who should be allowed.
Again, learn more about all our politicians before picking the bad fruits amongst the good ones.

Politicians remain our major problem in this country and if you're smart you will understand that there isn't a single pleasant politician in this country. Focusing on just Babangida who is practically begging to come and correct things is not only foolish, but also senseless.
Even the new or Young politicians are worse in every way than the old ones.
Please believe me, currently I know more than 10 politicians that look like bunch of saint to you people, but to the guys within their circle, these people are nothing but criminals dressed in white attire; they are all straight up inferior in excellence, in quality, or in character, they clearly have nothing to offer us. They are not only ready, but also determined to suck our country dry. But yet Babangida is our target and our greatest enemy of all time.
