PoliticsRe: Dismissal Of Appeal: Court Rejects Remi Tinubu’s Request by Depilot(m): 1:51am On Oct 21, 2011
Remi Tinubu did not win the election.
She got more votes than the PDP candidate only because Dapo Etti who is an ex ACN strong member and also a senatorial candidate for the Labour party wasn't allow to contest.
If Dapo Etti had contested, Remi Tinubu's votes would have been divided into 2, and PDP candidate would have won the election.

Many ACN supporters were pulling for Dapo Etti much more than for Remi Tinubu until they discovered that Dapo's name wasn't listed on the election day, therefore many of these voters just went ahead and voted for Remi Tinubu.
I vividly remember when 1 of the voters confessed that he only voted for Remi Tinubu because Dapo Etti's name was missing.
The old man said "since Dapo's name was missing I voted for Remi because I rather vote for an ACN candidate than voting for a PDP.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 7:35pm On Oct 18, 2011
Why do you think ACN party has no primary elections.
Please do not forget that primary election is still the ROOT of democracy, but Dr. Tinubu will rather hand pick/ impose his friends (crooks) and family on Nigerian citizens; an indirect method of stealing and controlling cowards (ACN members)

This also happens to be the main reason why ACN members have no choice but to kiss Tinubu's @ss in open and criticise him in closed doors. It is a total slavery mentality.

Were you standing over him when he was voting?
Why don't you double check my statement with Tinubu and see what he says
PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 7:24pm On Oct 18, 2011
The point is, to get a better result we have to be honest to ourselves by denouncing any bad fruits regardless of the party.
I will be the first to stone Gbenga Daniel (PDP), but loves Rotimi Amaechi and will not hesitate to choke Bola Tinubu (ACN), but admires Fashola.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 7:18pm On Oct 18, 2011
No.
I meant Fashola's father voted for his son, but did not vote for Tinubu's wife or any other ACN crook Tinubu imposed on Lagosians.

@Ileke IDI, I beg, let's move forward.
Do you know that Gov. Fashola's ticket was the only ACN ticket Fashola's father voted for?

I would forever be grateful to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the gift of fashola to us
How can you be grateful to a man that gives you a wrist watch and then turns around and r@pe your mother? (Please, note that this is an example).

Please wake up guys. Tinubu imposed Fashola simply because he wanted someone to control and cover his shady tracks. Fashola on his own turns out to be a fine governor.
In fact, parts of being a fine governor is to stop Ashiwaju from stealing Lagos state money @ all cost.

Africans say "the day that you realize that you're mad is the day that you're cured"
Nigeria we immediately become a great nation the day all Nigerians come together to realize that we do not have good leaders.

Don't you want to cry when you see people like Dayokanu protesting against the arrest of Gbenga Daniel and Adebayo Akala @ the court house last week?
PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 6:31pm On Oct 18, 2011
Who did Fashola give us?

Tinubu imposed on us a man who is now Nigerias best governor.

What did OBJ give us? Obanikoro, Alao-Akala, OGD, Fayose, Oyinlola, Agagu Segun Oni
Oga Dayo, relax.
I'm not here to compare failures. I'm here to kill failure from the bottom to the top, from side to side.
If it makes you happy, I also suggest that Obasajo can also go to hell face down.

I'm sure that we are all too smart to clearly understand that we can not move forward if we continue to chose to acquire an area-boy position for these crooks, it will be f0olish to try to defend any of them. Let us rap all of them up and give them away to satan as xmas gifts.

Tinubu did not give us the best governor, Tinubu gave himself someone to control and cover his shady tracks.
Fashola gave us the best governor.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 5:56pm On Oct 18, 2011
There's only 1 solution 2 d problem,  Imagine wat would become of ACN if Tinubu decamps to PDP and also wat ACN has to lose if Fashola decamps to the PDP,  Many Nairalanders reason like Fools,  Nobody controls the ACN machineries better than Tinubu,  Only Tinubu is indispensable in ACN,  I can proudly say dat if today, Fashola decamps to the PDP, He wouldn't be able to win an election even as a councillor. As long as Southwest is concerned, ACN rocks and Tinubu holds the Ace,  A word is enough for the Wise,
I disagree.

ACN is gradually sinking because Tinubu will not stop suffocating the party.
Unlike Fashola, majority of ACN members are bunch of sycophant who have no balls to stand up for what is right ( they rather criticise Tinubu behind a closed door)
If Tinubu leaves today, ACN will only become a better party, a party with a complete integrity and a party of future. Primary elections will also be introduced immediately.

If Tinubu is so relevant and so magnificent, Ribadu and Adeola would have easily won the presidential election, but they severely failed simply because people saw that Tinubu's morals contradicted everything these 2 men stood for, therefore voters saw this combination as a F0olish joke for f0ols. On the other hand, senatorial and governorship positions all thru out Nigeria were mostly taken by ACN candidates simply because many voters saw or anticipated Fashola's qualities in these ACN candidates; God knows Tinubu had nothing to do with these victories.
In fact, his wife who also struggled during her senatorial election also won ONLY because of Fashola; Just like many other ACN candidates' posters in Lagos, I remember seeing Tinubu's wife posters right next to Fashola all over Lagos few days before the election.
Fact: Many Lagosians believed that voting for anything ACN meant voting for Fashola.

At the moment, Tinubu is very worried, unhappy and concerned about his future because he's starting to smell the coffee, the positive popularity of Fashola is becoming extremely stronger by every second all around the country.

for example, reading all the posts on this topic, how many northerners are here to defend north? may be 2 or 3.
developed and educated north will bring a different ball game.
education and development in north will not post a threat, but will definitely make yorubas and igbos to work more harder for their money, which isn't a bad thing.
i think this is what the op was trying to say.
Exactly my point.
Yes Boss, No need to be disappointed, the above point was what I meant to say. No disrespect to any tribe in Nigeria, we are all one no matter where God has placed our root.

We must not forget that we can chose our cars, but we can not chose our tribe. Therefore, we should thank God and embrace each other @ all time.

ACN party would have done better @ the presidential election level if it wasn't because of Tinubu.
Just allow Fashola to step up to contest for the presidential election 2015, and you will see or realize how useless Tinubu has become.
This is simply because of low mentality and greed.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Rejects Tinubu's Council Chairmanship Candidates by Depilot(op): 1:18am On Oct 18, 2011
For the last elections, Fashola's works were responsible for every ACN victory and nothing else.
If you ask any smart serious politician in Nigeria, they will let you know that Fashola is the body and soul of ACN.

Apart from stolen Lagos state money, Tinubu is nobody. And I think he's finally starting to realize it himself.
I will not be surprised if Fashola carries CPC flag for the next presidential election spot. I can assure you that he will not move over to PDP. PDP and ACN have a lot in common.

Fashola is not only a lawyer, but a SAN with integrity. And who is is Tinubu?
In a well developed and civilized country, people like Tinubu will be be applying for a facility manager position, may be for a super market and nothing else

I still feel very comfortable to predict that Fashola will eventually be Tinubu's down fall. It is going to get to a point when Tinubu will want to pull a red card against Fashola, the same way he did against Funso Williams, but this time around I predict that Tinubu will choke.

Tinubu, Fashola disagree over council chairmanship candidates

GovernorBabatundeFashola (SAN) of Lagos State and his predecessor, Senator Bola Tinubu, are reportedly divided over the chairmanship candidates for two local councils ahead of next Saturday's local government poll.

The disputed areas are Coker/Aguda and Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Nigerian Tribune reliably learnt that the governor was opposed to the chairmanship candidates of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), because of some weighty allegations against them.

The allegations were reportedly contained in separate petitions by concerned groups and individuals on the eligibility of the said candidates.

The sources said Fashola reportedly tried to draw the attention of Tinubu to the allegations against the candidates.

According to the sources, the action of the governor, who incidentally, is an astute lawyer, allegedly did not go down well with Tinubu, as he purportedly claimed that he (the governor) had been misinformed by a lawmaker representing a federal constituency from the state (names with- held).

Consequently, Tinubu allegedly threatened to make sure the lawmaker was recalled from the House of Representatives unless he behaved himself.

The sources added that authorities of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission and the state chapter of acn were aware of the allegations against the chairmanship candidates.

The party's leadership was said to be in dilemma after the electoral body expressed concern on the candidates' eligibility.

It will be recalled that the list of ACN candidates for the election triggered protests from many areas.

Why is this the last thing we want?
Development and education will certainly make north much stronger.
And a stronger north is a threat to Yoruba and Igbo.

Why? I think Yorubas and Igbos are in a better position to answer this question
PoliticsRe: A Developed And Educated North Is The Last Thing Yorubas And Igbos Want by Depilot(op): 12:57am On Oct 17, 2011
An educated and developed north doesn't mean northerners will be better, but for sure they will be stronger and may be unstoppable.
This topic was not meant to identify which tribe is better in Nigeria, but was simply started to present facts, what is going on and what will eventually happen.
I have no reason to be unfair
For example, Kaduna is an ok state in terms of development and upcoming growth opportunity for technology and manufacturing jobs. Could you imagine how much more resource that could be generated annually in Kaduna state if a good percentage of northerners were educated?
PoliticsRe: A Developed And Educated North Is The Last Thing Yorubas And Igbos Want by Depilot(op): 12:42am On Oct 17, 2011
You're missing my point. I did not say that northern leaders are better or all northerners are honest or perfect.
This is my statement: I also think these 2 factors (honesty and integrity) are very common among northerners more than any other tribe in Nigeria.
I do not care if you're an Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa, this statement is simply the fact.

I am fortunate enough to have a profession that carries me all around the world and gives me opportunity to interact with people from different countries, especially in Africa. I know what I'm talking about when I stated that Development and Education will make Northerners in Nigeria the most powerful and unstoppable tribe.
