I can not debate such baseless and irrational sentimentsPraise God!!! Carry on brother, it is a pleasure. |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^It makes no sense to make money in the name of "we are trying to develop Lagos state" if the money that is being used to buy these units is also being stolen from the Lagos state government. Got it? The bottom line is: if these units are sold to politicians and their friends and families, it means the money used to purchase the units are stolen from the state or federal government. This method of operation is called "MERRY-GO-ROUND" in Abuja. I have witnessed this type of operation more than 100 times. 1004 complex is used as an example. It doesn't matter if the project is executed by the federal government or state government, as long as corrupt steps are taken, the project is the same sh1t. |
1004 flats that were sold to mostly politicians and civil servants were locked up for more than 3 to 4 years, and are now being sold @ a ridiculous amount. |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Oga, this is Nigeria. Federal government and state government operate on the same platform of corruption. 1004 complex is different from the new 72 units, but that doesn't mean that the same corrupt steps can not be followed to distribute the units. A good parts of 1004 flats were sold to Lagos state politicians and civil servants. |
Yep, how the flats are distributed should be the main issue, or else the whole show will go down just like how 1004 flats were distributed by Tinubu's gang-starr a few years ago. I mean, 70% of the flat will be purchased by the big dogs, with the plan to either lock them up for some time or re-sell them @ more than double price in a few years. A flat in 1004 building was going for about N18m, but now you will be lucky to get 1 for N100m. The rent over there is also up to N5m per year. I know at least 15 people, politicians and civil servants, that own up to 10 flats each in this same 1004 complex. At the end of the day, the politicians sold the flat to themselves, friends and families. I hope Fashola will not allow Tinubu method of operation to take place with this new 72 units. |
As we all know, Baba Suwe was recently arrested @ the MMIA for trying to smuggle cocaine into France. Adebayo Akala was also arrested for looting almost N25 Billion ($160 million) from the government of Oyo state And finally Gbenga Daniel was detained until this morning for stealing almost N60 Billion ($380 million) from the government of Ogun state. How does each of these cases directly affect Nigeria and Nigerians? Going by the constitutions of our country, we should all pay attention to how all 3 criminals or cases are treated. I wonder which 1 of the 3 cases deserves the most severe punishment? |
This dude stole up to N58billion. Bail was granted to him for N500million and he left the court house laughing and smiling with his sycophant team. This is a joke, a comedy at it's best. I'm starting to believe that Nigeria will remain the same for a very long time. I am giving up It may not be a bad idea to join the looters. I need to call Ashiwaju back and apologize for trying to do what is right for my people and my country. |
Former Governor Gbenga Daniel Granted Bail For N500 Million A high court judge in Abeokuta today granted former Governor of Ogun State, Justin Olugbenga Daniel bail in the sum of N500million. The bail conditions includes provisions that Mr. Daniel produces two sureties who must have landed properties in Abeokuta city in Ogun state. The former governor was arrested last week shortly after returning from a Yoruba conference at the country home of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo in Ikenne. After a brief detention at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja Mr. Daniel was flown to Abeokuta where he was charged for money laundering, conversion and theft of state funds. The trial date is set for Novemeber 16 and 17th 2011. EFCC PRESS RELEASE-Court Admits Daniel to Bail on Stringent Conditions The former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Danial who facing is a 16 count charge of stealing and diversion of public funds preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC before an Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta has been admitted to bail. Ruling on the bail application on Friday, October 14, 2011 Justice Olanrenwaju Mabekoje said there was no sufficient material before the court to warrant the denial of bail to the accused person. He observed that the accused voluntarily presented himself to the Commission for arrest and said there was no cause to believe that he will not make himself available for trial. Justice Mabekoje also dismissed the argument that the accused could interfere with the investigation and use his killer squad to intimidate witnesses. He said there was no evidence before court that such killer squad exists. He therefore admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500million and two sureties in like sum. The sureties must have landed property within the jurisdiction of the court and submit the title to the property and two passport photographs to the court registrar. Before the ruling, the court heard the bail arguments of counsel. Taiwo Osopitan, SAN lead counsel for the defendant had urged the court to admit his client to bail as the offence he allegedly committed was not a capital offence and as such was bailable. He reminded the court that the law prescribes bail for an accused person based on the principle of presumption of innocence. He referred the court to sections 35 and 36 of the 1999 constitution which states that an accused person is presumed innocent until he has been proven guilty by a court of Law. Referring to paragraph 6 of the supporting 25 point affidavit which he claimed contains condition for bail for the defendant as stipulated by the anti-graft agency, Osopitan said if the EFCC was not adverse to bail the court might as well exercise its discretion in favour of the accused person. He also prayed the court to be liberal with the accused bail terms as he is not likely to jump He prayed the court to grant the accused bail on self recognizance. "My Lord, application for bail can either be in self cognizance or as provided by the Law. Sections 35 and 36 of the 1999 Constitution as amended made provisions for this and also section 118 of the CPA and section 6(6B) of the same CPA provided that he is entitled to bail”, Osopitan stated. Responding to the bail application, counsel to EFCC Rotimi Jacobs urged the court to refuse the bail application as the offence involved was a very serious one. He faulted the tone of the oral argument by the defence counsel which he said was intended to force the court to admit the defendant to bail. He pointed out that bail is granted at the discretion of court. "My Lordship, the oral address made by my colleague is such that tries to force the court to grand bail. No authority is binding on anyone to force the court to grant bail. It is absolutely at the discretion of your Lordship. If bail was granted by the EFCC it does not mean that that the Court's discretion cannot take it away from the accused," Jacobs stated. The EFCC counsel explained that the bail granted by the EFCC is an administrative bail which is to avoid breaching the right of the accused to being charged to court within a stipulated period. He added that Section 118 of the CPA puts grant of bail at the discretion of court and urged his Lordship to exercise that discretion responsibly. He noted that it would be risky to grant bail on liberal terms as the court will not be protecting its reputation by doing so. ”I have not seen when a lower Court gives bail and an upper Court revokes it. If at all you will grant it, please give stringent conditions. Section 120 of the CPA did not say you cannot do it in your Lordship discretion. The case involves an alleged corrupt act so it should be taken seriously. Refuse the bail application My Lord." After listening to the arguments of counsel, the presiding judge asked whether counsel were ready for trial, and both agreed on a November 17 date for commencement of trial. The judge consequently stood down the case at about 12noon to write his ruling. Justice Mabekoje has fixed November 17 and 18, for the commencement of trial. Daniel was arraigned on Wednesday,October 12. The former governor allegedly siphoned billions of Naira from the treasury of Ogun State during his eight years as governor. First, for this criminal to be stating such at this point in time means that something is up Second, who gave this criminal the right to pick and chose candidates? And finally, Lagosians gave Fashola the second term, not this old thief. And Fashola still remains the main reason why other ACN governors were elected during the last elections. Very soon it will become clear that Tinubu is irrelevant in Lagos state or in Nigeria. |
This is all you got? If I didn't have a job I would have been licking smelly black @@s just like you constantly do. Tinubu is going down |
Gbenga Daniel will be fine as long as it's Hunger Strike and not Sex Strike. This dude loves to have sexual relationship with women of all kind more than anything else, I mean his love for sex with many partners is absurd. |

EkoIle, Why not change the location on your profile to ATL? |
It is obvious that I know 1 or 100 things about your master. If I were in charge Ashiwaju would have been cooling off in Kirikiri for the next 35 years many months ago. Just relax and watch how those you think are loyal to your master will slowly bring him down. Do you want me to name another person that needs to be probed to nail your master? Do you want me to name the next ACN Lagos state governorship candidate? Or Do you want me to post my picture with your master less than a year ago? I need not to label myself Lagos State to show that I'm relevant. |
If the Fed Govt really wants to capture Ashiwaju, his buddy "PRINCE" in ParkView, Lagos should be probed. He has the missing key to nail Ashiwaju down flat to the ground |
I will not be surprised if the hunger strike was the instruction given to him by his black magic consultant. This dude is always desperate with style, he will do anything to get over or to steal money. Black Magic Consultant: "Hunger strike for 3 days and everybody will forget your crime" |
2 thieves from PDP have been arrested by a president from PDP party. This is done to checkmate Tinubu's cry of being singled out. The way everything is being done step by step tells me that there is a game plan in place. |
ACN governors are not different from PDP governors or UPN governors or NPN governors. All our leaders are fucckup, this is why Nigeria is on a dusty floor today.GBAM! It is this simple. |
I think things will be different this time around. Jonathan needs something to tell the world that his administration is capable and also as a president, he's not weak as speculated by most Nigerians. This is a great opportunity to keep Buhari quiet, to slow down the support of Boko Haram's terrible actions by an average Nigerian and to send a message to all Nigerians that casted their votes for Jonathan during the presidential election, that they haven't made a mistake. This newly arrested group of corrupt governors will smell pepper; they may not realize it at this time, but this group represents a perfect scape goat. Jonathan and Nigeria need this break more than anything else. |
I know of another one from Ondo State, about 600m educational fund that was stolen last year. Tinubu was involved, one of his boys got part of the money on his behalf. I saw it with my 2 eyes. Look out, this may also come out soon. |
I think hope for Nigeria is dissolving gradually. If anyone sees nothing wrong with this type of leadership, they need to get their brain examined. Our problem in Nigeria is a bit deeper than just the leaders, the followers are also becoming reta rted by day in a very large number. How can Aregbesola's ridiculos style of leadership be ok? This is the type of leadership we must denounce not only in Nigeria, but also in Africa. Uneducated, ignorant, piece of Sh1t. |
EkoIle, you know that I do not like to discuss any topic on this forum with you, but I will give you another chance. FYI: All ACN governors that won the last election got elected mostly because voters wanted to experience a governor like Fashola in their various states. It had nothing to do with Tinubu. If Tinubu isn't caged by next election, I assure you that he will be embarrassed by voters. Things are changing by minute in Nigeria. With time, people like Tinubu will not be relevant in any way. |
many people did not vote acn during the presidential election mostly because tinubu's shenanigans contradicted everything ribadu and adeola stood for. so, many saw the combination of these 3 individuals as a fooLlish joke. You hit the nail on the head. As much as I admired Adeola and liked Ribadu, I think their decision to join hands with Tinubu during the last presidential election was a total miscalculated move. Many like myself couldn't believe it. These dual did very poorly not because of anything else but because of the contradiction that came alive between the 3 men, Adeola, Ribadu and Tinubu. I think the move has also damaged Adeola's and Ribadu's reputation; both of them are mostly seen as desperate for power and totally unserious. Good name is better than stolen diamond and gold. He is a thief that is about to be turn to a hero by a clueless governmentTinubu in America will be kept away from human beings for a very long time. This is why these corrupt leaders prefer Nigeria to stay the same; this is all they know, they can not function anywhere else. |
if Gbenga Daniel doesn't end up in jail for at least 5 yrs, it means there is no hope for this country. I heard he is now reaching out to Kings in Lagos = to reach out to Tinubu = for Tinubu to reach out to Kunle Omosun to take it easy on him. |
http://www.thisdayonline.com/ EFCC Gets Fiat to Try 4 Ex-governors By Olawale Olaleye and Davidson Iriekpen The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Muhammed Adoke (SAN), has given the go-ahead to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to try four former governors for various offences they allegedly committed while in office. It was gathered yesterday that the former governors—Gbenga Daniel (Ogun), Adebayo Alao-Akala(Oyo), Muhammadu Goje (Gombe) and Akwe Doma (Nasarawa), were among the nine governors being probed by the anti-graft agency, especially since their exit from power last May. Under the 1999 Constitution, the president, vice president, governors and deputy governors enjoy immunity from prosecution while in office. The other former governors the EFCC is probing are Bukola Saraki of Kwara State, Ikedi Ohakim of Imo State, Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State, Ibrahim Shinkafi of Zamfara State and Modu Sheriff of Borno State. Sources told THISDAY that the anti-graft commission had written Adoke, requesting fiat to try the former governors and some other persons for various offences, but the minister gave the EFCC the permission to try Daniel and the three others, having satisfied that the commission had gathered enough evidence to sustain their trial in court. A source said with the fiat from the minister’s office, the EFCC is set to arrest the former governors this week to face charges of financial impropriety in court. He added that since the anti-graft agency has concluded its investigations into the allegations against the four former governors and has got the AGF’s permission, in line with the new operational guidelines for the EFCC, there was no need delaying any further. On why it has taken this long for the commission to make a move against the former governors, one of the sources said the new modus operandi of the EFCC has changed as it is now required to gather enough evidence to sustain a trial before arresting a suspect, especially, a politically exposed suspect such as top political office holders, including those who have left office. He said this is because the anti-graft agency would not want to be seen as either persecuting a suspect or perceived as being used for political reasons, hence the idea is to first conclude investigation into allegations against suspects before arresting them. “EFCC does not want to continue with the culture of indicting anyone without enough proof and granting bail every now and then. But now, the offences in question would have been fully investigated and once the facts are clear, the suspects are picked up immediately and from the cell, straight to the courtrooms. No shoddy job. Clean, meticulous and neat,” the source said. It was learnt that some of the former governors, aware of plans to arrest them, have started lobbying top government officials to prevent their arrest and subsequent trial. One of the former governors was said to have been Abuja, the nation’s capital, since last week, apparently lobbying people who could save him from the pending prosecution. EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Femi Babafemi, however, declined yesterday to comment on the commission’s activities on the former governors, saying that since investigations are still going on the allegations against them, it would be premature to make any comment that could compromise the probe of the suspects. EFCC had intensified investigations into financial activities of some states ahead of the expiration of tenure of office of former governors and the inauguration of new ones. The commission had then sent its operatives to some states to gather sufficient evidence against some governors and their officials before power changed hands. EFCC Chairman, Mrs. Farida Waziri, dispatched the teams to various states where the anti-graft commission had been investigating allegations of fraud against the governors and other public officials. The teams, in addition to their briefs, were also given deadlines to complete their assignments ahead of the May 29 handover date when some of the governors, as it is common knowledge, would have lost their immunity. |
Fashola can't do much. These are hardened thieves and criminals. It is a matter of time for things to change for better. This time 3 years ago Fashola wasn't able to speak up at all. But so far he has stepped up big time, he's starting to show Nigeria that he's responsible for the success of ACN. At this point, I think Tinubu's value will continue to drop like water fall, while Fashola's great work continues to command the respect he deserves from Nigeria. Things are changing, Nigerians are starting to recognize and clearly understand what to expect from a great leader. Leaders and criminals should not be mixed up. Tinubu has lost this fight many months ago. I think with time he will realize that his jimzine isn't working anymore. |
Bros Ojulari(Tinubu) please comot hand for lagos matter now .Abi Wetin dey self ?The bast@rd is addicted to thiefing Lagos state money. He will need to be taken to rehab (kirikiri) or else he will not quit milking Lagosians and Lagos state. I blame Lagosians for allowing a stranger to steal this much and for this long from them. How can a dude from Osun state be allowed to have so much control over Lagos state? I can assure you that this can not be allowed in Ibadan. Tinubu would have been buried alive very long time ago. |
EkoIle: It is either you love the attention that being flat-out stup1d is getting you on this website or you're just straight-up SPECIAL (ret@rded). I just can't see how anyone's mentality can be this low. We thank Ashiwaju for giving us and setting up Fashola to be able to accomplish this much, but it is now time for your master to let go. Fashola has proven himself to all that he's capable, just sit back and let him be. Just because you have given Lagosians water to cook doesn't mean the food belongs you. You have milked Lagos state enough; read the writing on the wall, it's time to let my people go. As a My advise for you all: Just ignore this kid (stup1dity is contagious) |
Back in the day, I used to think that Tinubu was one of the sharpest dude in Nigeria, but greediness and senseless motives have turned him into the biggest f00l around today in Nigeria. He pretty much dug his own grave. His last hope now is to do whatever needs to be done to settle qualms between himself and Fashola, or else his down fall process will be expedited. |
I think Akala knows what he's doing. He may sound ridiculous, but at this point the dude has nothing to lose.I totally agree. Any blessing for Ajimobi from Ibadan people will only sink Akala deeper into the hole. So, why not continue to throw stones, sooner on later one of these stones will hit the right spot. This is why decent people stay away from politics. |
