Kikikiki, the simple message is RIGHT now Obi's popularity is strange and not a function of just his days as Anambra's gov.
His appeal NOW is countrywide unlike the kwankwasiya movement.
Kwakwanso would have been needed for Kano but Ganduje is also there.Can Kwakwanso win Sokoto or Bornu for Obi as it stands now? Definitely no.
Kwakwanso's usefulness is that he is Muslim apart from that he'd be a liability to Obi because he can't deliver the north

Many oppressed Nigerians see themselves in Obi and without money adopted him as their voice. Kwakwanso has a different following that are predominantly his beneficiaries and tribesmen. His influence is mostly in Kano and if another northern Muslim contests with him other than kano, he's likely to lose.
Even a thieving Ganduje outsmarted him in Kano in the last election

What do you mean by we don't need Kwankwaso? Who are the we? Oga, Obi needs Kwankwaso. Go and check the drawing board, to become Nigeria's president, a candidate has to win significantly in either the Northwest or Southwest.

And even when Obi gets Kwankwaso, it is still a tight chance for them. The reason for the call is for them to make a bold statement in the election, not necessarily to guarantee a win.

Upon successfully making a bold statement, they could continue to build on it over the next 4 or 8 years.

But if you insist he doesn't need Kwankwaso, no wahala, we sidon dey watch una.
