Seeing anything super eagles now relives that terrible match bros. Those boys and their Eguadiola coach should resign and the former should face club football. subsidywise18: Yeah, we all have been there. But at the end, football is a win and lose game. We dry our tears, calm down and onward to the next tournament.
But NFF needs changes. Somehow. |

Infact, I haven't been this angry with our SE team. I wish I have the power to cancel the senior team for 2years or more. Those guys should be made to feel what Nigerians felt when they bungled that chance subsidywise18: Group stage draws take place next week Tuesday. Prelim round teams have concluded qualifications.
No word on when qualifiers will start...I guess we would know more after the draws. But it most likely would start before the World cup proper. |

Is any of the qualifiers coming up before the World Cup? If no, let them gather themselves and train.Maybe busy themselves with the Local Eagles, who knows we might discover new players from the Local league subsidywise18: Well, Ivory Coast did not qualify too...and already they have played France and England last month already. We should not be lazing around.
We have nations cup qualifiers comming up for the next AFCON in 2023, and we have the 2026 world cup to look forward to (Olympians prepare for the next olympics from the day after the last olympics ends.)

They should wait till after the World Cup jor. Nigerians want to forget anything about not qualifying for Qatar. They should allow us watch those who are serious and qualified. I suggest they wait to see who wins the World Cup , organize friendlies with all the semifinalists, beat all of them, then we'll take them serious. subsidywise18: FIFA rankings(which impact things like which pot we would be put in for qualificaitons for the 2026 world cup and CAF tourneys), and to prepare the team for future qualifications and tournaments.
If we were serious, we should play as many friendly games as possible. |

See the incongruity in your response. Do you even know what's even discussed? Just jumbling words EagleSquare1: Brown envelope? Indeed you are truly of the Indomie Generation as has been said here earlier. Simple research is proving difficult. In an academic exercise, if given a simple title ‘Bayo Onanuga,’ and told to research, I don’t need to research and know what kind of answers you will give. You will simply fail as has been proven here with all your comments. So you actually even researched? I thought you knew all. Probably you were forced to when you saw the names he was associated with in the write-up. |

Thanks for spelling it out but none of these are new to our leaders just that they love number 1 subsidywise18: 1.Am afraid part of the answer is taxation.
Tax to gdp ratio is 8.1%. 30% of taxable Nigerians pay income tax to state and FG. VAT collection is sketchy nationwhide (which is why some governors are complaining, and want states to be in charge of VAT.)
2.Also, diversification, diversificaiton, diversification. As it is we rely on 1.4 million barrels of oil for most of our revenue. That can take care of a country like Qatar, not a country like ours with a large population.
3.Long term, the basis of our economy has to be exporting manufactured goods, not raw materials.
Answers are not popular, and no, it does not mean I apporve of our leadership either. |
