What exactly is the reason? If it's finance, you know you can easily correct the mistake by paying tuition. That would do it! Or get an additional sponsor. As you know there are no guarantees getting it through the Express Entry even with your score. Don't give up that easily. I will advice you keep trying for the visa while at the same time doing the EE. "A bird in hand" (TRV) they say, "is worth ten in the bush." (EE)

Don't pray to experience the disappointment in refusal. With a well packaged application and a self-explanatory SOP accompanied with all the necessary and straight-to-the-point documents, the VO still decides to deny and tick an already address reason.

That is painful.

What guarantees a TRV if she applies all over again? Note: The Bird is not yet in Hand therefore I will advice her to keep to the EE Route.

So got a refusal on the 3rd due finance.

The reason is funny doe cuz I was sponsoring myself
Dom 14550USD Naira 4.2m Tuition is 16kCAD
Work experience 7years and course was relevant
Travel history: US Canada UK Dubai Saint Lucia Barbados SA and the list goes on.

Well I believe it's a shitty reason and the real reason is cause it's a PGD (i might be wrong oh).

Well I was waiting for the outcome of this before I put in my Express Entry application fortunately for me my CRS score is 465 . So basically God didnt want me to pay international fees shikena.

So right now am on my way to Canada to let my hair down.

I then checked the VFS Global website and inputed my tracking number and got the information that my processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office Accra on 03/08/2017 to the Canada Visa Application Centre.

Should i be worried?

In assessing an application for temporary residence an officer may also consider factors such as:

the length of time that the client will be spending in Canada;
the means of support;
obligations and ties in the home country; and
compliance with requirements of the IRPA and Regulations applicable to temporary residents (visitors, students and workers).
If an officer has concerns/doubts about the applicant’s bona fide, the applicant must be made aware of these concerns and given an opportunity to respond to them. If an application for temporary residence is not approved, the CIC visa officer will provide the client with a letter explaining why an application has been refused.

Temporary residence status might be refused for several reasons, including:

history of having contravened the conditions of admission on a previous stay in Canada;
lack of or insufficient proof of adequate funds to support oneself while in Canada, and to affect one’s departure from Canada;
medical inadmissibility;
not satisfying the visa officer that the individual will leave Canada at the end of their period of authorized stay.
Refusals
Refusals do not stem from having two intents. They stem from having a single bona fide intent (i.e., to become a permanent resident) and misrepresenting the second intent (i.e., to become a temporary resident) in order to achieve the first intent.

For example: an applicant for a work or study permit who indicates that they have no intention of leaving Canada has demonstrated only a single intent – permanent residence. This application would be refused, even if the applicant might qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This is because the applicant has shown that they do not respect the terms and conditions of temporary residence, should they not qualify for a Permanent Resident stream.

Assessing an application where there are dual intent implications is no different from assessing any other temporary resident application. Each applicant receives the benefit of a procedurally fair, individual assessment. The applicant must, in turn, satisfy the officer that they meet all the requirements of IRPA’s Regulations relating to temporary residence, before any visa is issued.

The existence of the CEC or the issuance of a Provincial Nominee Certificate does not change this. The possibility that an applicant for temporary residence may, at some point in the future, be approved under a Permanent Resident Program does not absolve the individual from meeting the requirements of a temporary resident, specifically, to leave Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay, R179.

The inherent rigidity of R179 is balanced by the flexibility of A22(2), which allows the visa officer to consider an applicant’s intent in relation to the particular circumstances of the case. For example: an applicant for a study permit who may qualify for the CEC in three years has a different set of circumstances from that of a PN whose application is near completion and who applies for a work permit, with the support of the province, due to an urgent need for his or her services.

Officers are reminded to use their own judgment and the flexibility afforded to them by A22(2) when making decisions in cases with a dual intent aspect. CAIPS/FOSS/GCMS notes should clearly demonstrate the officer’s reasoning when assessing a case.

Did they send a message to your school to verify your documents? If yes, after how many days of receiving your credentials did they send the message?

I sent my documents to IQAS too. I need to know so that I can do a follow up with my school.

Applying for a Work permit only seems impossible now unless you have a job offer from Canada. If not, go for a PhD. You have a higher chance of getting the TRV or betterstill, join the EE thread.

I am pained, angered and frustrated each time i see a denied/delayed trv here on this thread. Not just because of the denial but the psychological effect of it and the bad record of being denied a visa.

Alot of people abandon there dreams after this denials.

No one here deserves trv denial at all especially for the wealth of experience acquired here on this thread.

Most people here on this thread are more Knowledgeable than those agents who collects hundreds of thousands from applicants yet they themselves have never been granted any visa of sort and still end up putting applicants in unforseen mess.

MY SUGGESTIONS....
No one is being charged a fee here..why not we optimally utilise this opportunity and get our appovals?

Give us your trv app here on this thread 1 week before final submission let us make adjustments, recommendations and review before final submission. (Not just your SOP)

Let us be the v.o before the actual VO gets to see this apps.

Most trv apps are denied because of simple mistakes which if reviewed could have been avoided.

I am one person that loves seeing the end before i even commence the journey hence i would love to confirm my approval even before final submission of my applications.

I still insist that Canada trv app is one of the easiest there is our there!

In SUMMARY,
*Apply on time
**Give us a week to review and make recommendations
***Avoid agents or you participate 100% getting consent to every thing they write on your behalf.
*****Finally pray as if it all depends on prayer.

Go to cic website.

Look for your school in the Designated Learning Institues

Copy the DLI number directly from there and paste.

I don't know anything about a shipping company to help but I will answer based on my personal experience. When I traveled to the US to have my daughter, I went with a box of foodstuff. Anything you can think off except oil. I declared to the last item what I was coming into the US with. The inspection officer removed all the indomie he could lay his hands on but my foodstuffs were left. I also think they is a limit of what you can take but am not sure. My mum travels to the US often and she goes with a lot of food stuff for her siblings . She told them she has a lot of relatives in the US and they need a lot of food. Never had a problem.So if your friend is genuinely going with foodstuffs for the hosts and not business, then he/she shouldn't worry. When I came to Canada, I was able to carry a lot of things though and they only thing they questioned was my original pure shea butter(ORI).

If it were for business, i would have stated that.
