I just collected my passport from VSF today after 10 weeks of application and the purpose of my denial was travel history and purpose of traveling which I have already addressed before now because that's was the same reasons they gave the first time I applied . Now a friend is advising me to review my application or appeal by writing to CIC . Please Gurus hear should help on what to do because I feel the whole world is falling on me now as I type this now. Thanks
You just have to be strong to tackle this. This is a problem and not the end of the world.

Appealing to CIC how? I guess the Gurus will advice you to order for GCM notes to be able to see the backend reason of the Visa Officer. That way you would be able to tackle, reapply and fire.

I know the feeling....I tasted it just yesterday. Be strong and keep moving on.....

The Lord is our strenght.

Hello everyone.....I'm back again....

It says, if your fall and remain down, your are a failure.... But when you fall and get back on your feet, you will surely succeed.

So I'm back up......and here to assist as usual.

How long will it take before I could go to VFS to collect my passport?

To all the TRV hopefuls, I wish you all the best.

Vancouver Island university has a pre-MBA program for people with 2:2 or switching careers. I think its for 3-6 months. Not sure. But a friends wife did it last year and then got into MBA. She got admission for MBA but on the condition that she would do the pre-MBA program.
Most MBA programs I've seen r really expensive over there... Right?

Okay, to my understanding, I feel the major problem was because u are specializing in human resoucres, it's either your experience do not relate directly to human resources or you didn't explain well in your sOP how you have Hr experience. office administration is different from human resources.

Masters admission would be tight expecially because u finished with less than 3.0

I feel you would still be given a Visa, the Problem should be because u are focusing on HR and you have no background education in it nor work experience as an HR person.

Just my view.

Kind regards
Nawa for you sha.

I studied Business Management (which offered Human resources as an In-course).

Now I want to further in same Business Administration & mgt majoring in Human resources as other options were Marketing, Finance and Accounting.

So what did you think went wrong? How is it different from my previous background?

Do you think someone would just major in medicine without choosing either Surgery or Radiology?

I explained my reason for a PGD and why HRM in my SOP.

Abeg I fit beat you now ooooo
embarassed

It's well. It's quite unfortunate the visa officer didn't see it this way. I still think you should look out for schools that would consider the last two years of your undergraduate especially the not so competetive schools.

Your profile begs for a master degree. Both your undergrad and work experience have seen consistency. You have a good profile. The VO probably didnt see a need for a PGD since it is not a new area or field to you.

A master will in the eye of the VO make you more competitive owing to your profile. Like its known already, most PGD/PGC program in canada are work place tailored and would see people who want to lunch their entry into the market place or a new area go for these programs. You have shown progression in your field already so a PGD may not be advantageous to you(in the VO's eye)

Truly sorry about the delay. Just try to pull through, see if you can get a masters in this field(this is only what you need) and soon, you would have forgotten this moment.

Also request for your GCMS note.
Regards sis.
Thanks a lot. I wanna pm you.

A master degree would have been a best-fit...

I know these guys always feel that it's almost useless to go for PGD when you can use that same amount of money paid for PGD tuition to enrole for a Master degree programme.

The feeling is demoralizing.... Cheer up, and reapply.
What school can I apply for Masters with a cgpa of 2.91? Kindly suggest.

As painful as the delay is, I'll get over it. I'm sure of that

Your first degree and work experience is related. So you need to go for a higher degree like a master's. If previous studies and work experience was not related, you can go for a pgd in your work experience field. This is what I gathered from this study permit research I have been doing.

Did you also do upfront medical s and was it passed?

Cheers
I did not qualify for a masters program and that was why I applied for a PGD program.

No, I didn't do an upfront medical. I was expecting a medical mail before I got this..

I agree with you. A master degree in administration will salvage this situation.
I stated my reason for going for a PGD (Cgpa 2.91) which most Master program required 3.0 and above.

Sorry Derel. It's actually purpose of visit. Just change your course and let it be inline with your previous studies or work experience. Look for a 12months course. You can always get extension after securing the first study permit.

Delay ain't denial

#hugs
I have a B.sc in Business Management and going for a Post graduate diploma in Business Administration - Human resource mgt major. And all my work experiences have been in line with office administration.

It is an alternative and secured option after a credit card payment is declined. I think it is what we call bank draft in Nigeria. Not sure though.

Hi fam I have been trying to link my application online which I successfully signed in and got an account

Trying to link it please what's UCI? and DLI number?
Use family name and dob.

Your UCI will be given after linking. DLI is the Designated Learning Institution number. This should be on your offer of admission letter or go to cic.gc.ca and search for Designated Learning Institution and look for your school.
