careliz: hi I am a silent reader and my first tym posting on this thread. I wud like ur advice on this matter bothering me. My hubby is actually d principal applicant and a Dependant of 4 for now cos we r expecting a baby by ending of d month which wud make it 5. Although he notified CIC b4 submitting his applications.My fear now is ;
1) We r expecting PPR any moment from now cos his AOR was in June 16th and he's gotten 2 ADR request of which d latest was to pay RPRF fee which he paid on 28th of last month...Now if we get PPR b4 d baby is born cos I think we have 15 days to submit d passport and fill d IMM form, what r we to do @ dis juncture? Cos d baby hasn't arrived yet 2) If d baby arrives b4 we get d PPR request I doubt we wont be able to meet d tym frame of d 15 days submission cos like we all know d scarcity of passport @ immigration office which cause a lot of delays. I am confused? Kindly respond, tnks Send a mail to CIC. When bomboy arrives, I can connect you to someone who could assist you with getting his passport in just a day. Safe delivery in advance. |

Virt: My dear, I am still waiting for Madonna to send the transcript after 2 weeks of application. Not funny at all.
I have a contact person in the school who I paid to help me process the transcript. I expect him to send me the tracking number once the school have couriered it. I just hate the wait plus the expected 20 business days wait with WES. God dey.
You can PM me for the contact of the person if you don't intend going to the school. By the way, which campus did you graduate from, because it is not processed centrally, its per campus. I'm sorry to say the delay might not be from the school but from the person you sent money to for the processing. Same happened to me. Please note, ''i might be wrong'' but you need to find out directly from the Exam and Records office if your transcript has been requested...probably send someone else to make the enquiry for you. In my case, the person simply ate the money and gave me several excuses accusing the school of the delay. I had to go there myself and found out no request was made. Wish you the best |

maziude: Hello bosses,
Sorry for the silence. I have been busy with settling down and meeting deadlines.
So, a quick update.
Got my Social Insurance Number (SIN) on friday after many persuasion from my supervisor. It is a 5 minutes process atleast in my case. So even if you dont ger to do it at your POE, you can always do it at any Service Canada office closest to you (they are everywhere).
I dont know if I mentioned this earlier, please hold enough cash when coming. This is your first time in a new location and settling down might be abit on the high side until you get stable.
For those renting apartments, usually landlords require the first and last month rent before they lease. So if your rent is 450/month, you will be required to pay 900 instantly, then subsequent rent will be monthly. Now, you see where having cash at hand is necessary. You might use your ATM, but be sure that ATM is working to avoid stories. Better still, have cash at hand for immediate needs and some in your account.
Spending tips... use discount offers if they are being offered, spend when necessary, look for items on sale (even the people wey get the land sef dey look out for discount and sales...so no go dey form).
Lastly, if you sabi bone well, you go need to adjust your face oh to accommodate smiling, because dem sabi smile well for here even for the offices.
Safe journey to those landing this week and the coming weeks.
For the TRV hopefuls, goodnews is around the corner.
@dere, @yomalicious and those delayed, I salute your never giving up spirit. God go do am.
Regards everybody,
Mazi. I sight you oooo...our Mazi 1 of Cannyland.... Keep the info flowing God bless you real good |

GlitteringStar: Hello Jnyuwa02,
I don't agree with your suggestion. With a CRS score of 465, she is VERY sure of ITA in the next draw considering the current 'trend' if she is already in the pool. And if she can submit her EE application before September ending, ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL, she should get her PR before December. There is a great difference between paying international fees and paying domestic fees. And since she is not in a hurry, then I think the best decision is starting her EE application rather than reapplying for TRV.

AAOL: Hello boss. Your advise would be suitable if she was applying with a masters degree. Don't be surprise they may even deny him for another reason if she reapplies with the same PGD.
CRS score of 465 is more than enough to get ITA and get PR. If she can provide all documents she claimed she had at the point of calculating her CRS score, its almost certain she will get her PR. My point exactly |

jnyuwa02: Try, but don't bank on it. It's not guaranteed even with that score. Get your TRV and go to school now. If finances are really not a problem, overcoming them now sounds like the most logical step. Is a TRV guaranteed even with the best packaged application? NO!!! |

Saintp: Are you saying that for a Nigerian degree, IQAS is better? Not better, but faster because they don't send the verification mail to your university and await response before evaluating your credentials. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by DereI(f): 2:08am On Aug 07, 2017 |
Canadianfly: Ok I'll continue with WES. I have a UK degree and Canadian, but in Canada, when you complete your course credits, you have to 'apply to graduate" to the University so they know you don't want to take more credits, unlike in the UK and Naija where you automatically get listed to graduate. I didn't do that and left because of other love matter . So I'm not claiming that one as no certificate was issued. It will be part of my personal history when I get to that bridge to account for those years though.
And yea I had to read up oh lol. You understand better when you research for yourself. Oh Yes!!! I second that |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by DereI(f): 2:08am On Aug 07, 2017 |
Canadianfly: Okay, thanks You are welcome. Since you have the UK Certificate, go the WES route as there ''might'' be less verification process too. |

jnyuwa02: Like someone aptly put it here, a denial based on insufficient funds, is an approval. Just correct the funds issue and you are on your way with a TRV. Why not just correct the finance issue? With a score of 465, while not beans, it is not guaranteed and may take you time indefinitely waiting. So that still good as in the bush to me. Why not take what is for the taking right now? You can continue to work on your EE while in Canada studying, switching appropriately to resident fee paying if the EE works. I object to the above statement. With a score of 465, she would have been sent a PPR by now if she had began the EE journey as at when she did the TRV SP. As much as i am not discouraging her from reapplying, I am strongly encouraging ''ELIGIBLE'' applicants to look the EE route. PPR's flying everyday, it might as well rain on us soon... |

Canadianfly: Thanks. Why did you choose IQAS? My husband has BSc and MSc in Engineering both from an American Uni and I wanted to use WES for both of us. Is this fine? Or I should use IQAS for him? I have no Pros and Cons about choosing to do my ECA via IQAS. I was simply advised to use them instead of WES because his family had used IQAS and it went smoothly and without delay. |

giphtii: Hello, i have been delayed three times, i don't know if it's wise for me to still try again. I really want to study in canada.
My first application was in October 2015 but was delayed December 2015 based on purpose of visit and length of stay(i believe my SOP wasn't worded). I applied may 2016 with an immigration lawyer and was delayed september 2016, mean while i have been deferring my admission. I applied again January 2017 this time my SOP was really worded and i applied my self but was delayed based on misrepresentation in June, but before then around march i was asked to respond to why i didn't include i was delayed usa visa twice which i responded within the 15 days given to me and if found guity five years ban, but when i got my delayed letter was told i can still reapply there was no five years ban on the the letter.
I have a Bsc in physics, graduated 2012 with a 2.2, rounded up my service 2014. I have an international certificate on HEALTH SAFETY& ENVIRONMENT from U.K in 2014/2015.
I am going for a PGC in OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH&SAFETY MANAGEMENT in lambton college. I don't know what to do as i really want to study in canada, please i need gurus in the house to suggest on how i can strategize to re apply. Please is there anyone that has been delayed thrice and was letter given a trv? Anticipating on a response, thanks. Thats harsh on CIC part.....although you are also at fault for omitting your US refusals... Moving on... Don't be too fast to reapply. Try to order a gcms note to read the VO's back-end reason for the delay. This will help you repackage and reapply better. Wish you all the best |

Juicyboy126: Good evening house, I was delayed on Friday for the reason of insufficient funds only.
My sponsor is my brother and stays in the UK. I didn't pay tuition and living expenses. Expecting they will request us at some point during my application review to do that.
Right now he is ready to pay my tuition and transfer cash to my account for living expenses.
My question is, what will be the best option to transfer cash to me for living expenses without incurring huge cash lost due to Nigeria exchange rate.
I didn't go into details about myself cos i feel this is purely cash issues and he is my source of cash.
Guru pls throw more light on this.
Thank you. The best way would be to open a dorm account, get your bank's sort code and have your brother make the deposit directly into your dorm account. So sorry for the delay. |
