PureRuby: Thank you for your quick response. I am on scholarship from nddc worth 30k usd which should take care of my tuition and living expenses comfortably. It's just unfortunate that they choose to pah you only when you have travelled.
So working as a sole source of sponsoring myself was never an idea. I can't be that foolish. I believe Canadian Nurse's statement doesn't imply you are foolish. He's simply asking you to have a plan B. How do you intend to pay for your travel and initial accommodation fees before NDDC sends the money to you? |

princeadedayo: Lufthansa is basically an expensive flight. Again there is a long wait over for you at Frankfurt. However they offer a very good service and nice aircrafts for your comfortability. The basic cheap airlines within the purview are Ethiopian, Egypt, Turkish and u can check out Emirates.
Regards Funny enough, Lufthansa has seem to be the cheapest to my destination. Air Canada too. The thing is, a one-way might costs N490,000 while a return flight might cost N560,000. So why won't I book for a return flight and push up the date when I arrive? As for Air Maroc, my friends who went to Ottawa used it and they enjoyed their flight from Lagos. Virgin Atlantic and Delta airlines are also good but pricey. Try to compare prices mostly at midnight using the "Incognito'' mode of your browser and you should get some considerably cheap flights. Goodluck |

Nwakire29: Please guys help me out. Any body with relevant information should update me please. I got admission to selkirk college(advanced diploma) and i am very naive about so many of the things involved in the payment process. First and foremost how will i do the international bank transfer, secondly any body with relevant infor about transaction rate of canadian dollar to naira or do banks in Nigeria only use United States dollars for this type of transaction. I need many information. Please any body who is in selkirk college or knows some one there or may be with relevant information should contact me through my E-mail, obi2nwakire@gmail.com. Please my fellow naira landers try and help me out. So that i can pay my acceptance fee as soon as possible. To pay your fees, go to your bank and apply for a Form A transaction with your admission letter and they will guide you from there. You would have to bid on US Dollars and the equivalent will be converted to Canadian Dollars after CBN has approved your bid. Note: Do NOT transfer money to anyone to pay your fees for you EXCEPT you know the person. Use a bank and give them 3-7days to complete the transaction and issue you a Telex copy. After that, you can forward the Telex copy to your bank via email. Good luck |

nobleman23: I need a mentor please...You guys should reason with new users too. Thank you. 1. You can still apply for fall session as miracles happen sometimes. 2. Two weeks before your resumption date, send a mail to the school asking to be deferred if your visa has not been approved or attended to at that time. 3. The documents you would be needing are in this forum. Take time to go through posted application profile of already approved TRV applicants and compile your own. I wish you all the best. |

2bpat: Good morning great people. Please I need sincere advice on what program to study. I have Bsc in Accounting and have worked as a marketer for about 5 years. I wish to apply for a study in Canada. Two programs in mind; MBA with specialization DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING this will lead to Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) final examination
Kindly give professional advice on which one to go for.
Thank you If you dont qualify to apply for a Masters program, go for a Graduate diploma instead. There are schools in Canada that offers Post-graduate diploma in Business Administration - Accounting Major. Having a B.Sc and applying for a diploma seems fishy. You should apply for a certificate well above your present academic qualification. Wish you the best. |

Osemigho: Only him could have done it for son of a pepper grinder. He sent this wonderful family to me to support the dream.
Special thanks to TheSoj for my documents review, especially my visa SOP. I frustrate the guy die as I was asking obvious questions and he will say "I am sure you know that na". He started with me since December 2016 during application period. I appreciate your time, money, efforts, advices, sacrifices, etc towards my admission and visa application. God bless you. Sir, I have some mentee too, and I hope to pass on your simpleness and sacrificing spirit to them.
Special thanks to Yemdogg, he was the one I could easily turn to for every question when our ever present and egalitarian elder -TheSoj- think I should know the answer. You are a brother from another mother. We will together celebrate something bigger. The heavens and earth will arise to make it happen for us. We were born for greatness and nothing can stop or change it. Not even ourselves can.
Thanks to nony1 for clearly telling me what to write in available funds, tuition, etc part of a cic document. No matter your offense, I owe you this one. Thank You, God bless you.
Thanks to others mentioned before, Vvvvv, Marvel4Love and many others. You all contributed to the journey.
Advise mainly from the thread was highly useful. Y'all all were my agent during the admission and visa application. I pray God will help me to contribute greatly to this mission for a very long time like TheSoj and Justwise.
Part 12 of this thread did not pass me by. I got my visa in it. Hallelujah!!!! A wonderful testimony indeed. I tap into this goodnews in Jesus name. Amen |

Adeola012: Bless you. I plan on applying for their MBA foundation (3moths) since my gp is not up to 3.2 (can't go in for mba Straight). Have you thought of a Post degree diploma or a Post graduate certificate (known as Graduate Certificate in Canada)? There are lots of cheaper schools you can apply to for an alternative credential. Just think about it. Going to Canada for a 3months MBA foundation "might" not require a study permit as its less than 6months. But still, UCW is expensive. |
