Los Angeles (E! Online) - It's not often that Beyoncé Knowles misses a step—but when she does, the results are dramatic.


The singer fell headlong down a flight of stairs during her concert in Orlando Tuesday, drawing gasps of dismay from the audience.

Dressed in a trench coat and heels and energetically shaking her hair around, Knowles was descending a staircase in midsong, when she tripped and slid down about a dozen steps face first.

Apparently a subscriber to the notion that the show must go on, she picked herself immediately and continued performing "Ring the Alarm," barely missing a note.

After the song was over, Knowles briefly rushed offstage, then returned and performed her next number seated on a stool, after admitting the fall "hurt so bad!"

"Don't put it on YouTube," she jokingly asked her audience (who evidently didn't listen, as the footage was widely available on the video-sharing site as of Wednesday, despite Sony BMG's best efforts to yank the clips).

The singer's rep said she was not injured in the fall, which she described as a "mere spot" in an otherwise hitch-free performance.

"Beyoncé's fall on stage last night in Orlando, Florida during her performance of 'Ring the Alarm' was a mere spot on an otherwise sensational, flawless show," the rep told People. "It was a case of her coat's hem getting caught in her shoes, but Miss Knowles picked herself right up, without missing a beat, showing to all that she is the best."

The tumble comes just two weeks after two fans suffered burns at Knowles' concert in St. Louis after pyrotechnics meant for the stage tumbled into the audience. Much to the victims' delight, the singer graciously visited them in the hospital after the show to make sure they were doing okay.

Knowles was due to continue her Beyoncé Experience tour Friday at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.

LOS ANGELES - Scary Spice went to court Wednesday to try to scare up some child support from Eddie Murphy.


The 32-year-old singer, whose real name is Melanie Brown, filed a petition in Superior Court that seeks to legally establish Murphy as the father of her 4-month-old daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Brown will also seek sole custody and reasonable child support, attorney Gloria Allred said at a press conference.

"I am here today for one reason and one reason only; her name is Angel," Brown said. "Angel is my baby and Eddie's. She will always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us."

Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for the 46-year-old actor, declined to comment.

Brown said she and Murphy dated for four months in 2006 before mutually deciding to conceive a child.

"The relationship was in full swing right at the beginning of my pregnancy," Brown said, adding that she was shocked when Murphy later said he was not sure he was the baby's father.

Allred said Murphy took a DNA test in June.

The test "established paternity but paternity has not been legally acknowledged," she said in a statement.

Brown, who dated Murphy last year, gave birth to her daughter April 3. She listed Murphy as the father on the birth certificate.

Murphy has five children from his marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy, who filed for divorce in 2005.

He got engaged last week to film producer Tracey Edmonds, according to Adris Debarge, Edmonds' executive assistant.

Brown also has an 8-year-old daughter.

Julia Roberts has welcomed her third child, a boy named Henry Daniel Moder.

Henry was born Monday in Los Angeles and weighed 8½ lbs. "The Moder family is doing great," Roberts's rep, Marcy Engelman, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Roberts, 39, and husband Danny Moder, 38, are already parents to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, who turned 2 in November.

The actress confirmed in December that she was expecting baby No. 3.

Ciara has become the new face of Jay-Z’s female Rocawear clothing line.

The new advertising campaign is called I Will Not Lose and features inspirational speeches from people who have overcome various obstacles, including one from Amy Steele who is editor of the Virginia Tech’s college newspaper.

R&B star Ciara says: "I love Rocawear. The clothes are so cute. The stuff is great. I am so happy to be able to do the campaign."

She celebrated being signed up to the campaign by Jay-Z by having dinner with the rap mogul, as well as hip hop star Young Jeezy in New York.

The adverts will be launched later this year.

Britney Spears did not visit her mum after she was rushed to hospital with pneumonia.

The snub apparently stems from mum Lynne's criticism of Britney's partying ways.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Britney feels betrayed."

The Toxic singer used to ring Lynne up to ten times a day but apparently resents her for telling her to go to rehab and last Sunday (May 13) refused to call her on Mother's Day (it falls on a different day in the US) or her birthday.

Added salt in the emotional wound came when Lynne teamed up with Brit's ex Kevin Federline to look after the pair's children.

The second in a series of X-Men spin-off movies will be made by Blade: Trinity director David Goyer.



He will direct Magneto, which will focus on the character played in the three X-Men films by Ian McKellen.

The new film will tell the story of the young Magneto, reports Variety.com.

The plot will see him learning to use his mutant power to hunt down Nazi war criminals.

It's not yet known who will play the young Magneto but it's thought McKellen will have a small part to play in the movie.

As well as directing Blade: Trinity, Goyer wrote the script for Batman Begins.

No director has been announced yet for Wolverine, the first of the X-Men spin-offs

Superstar Beyonce Knowles has landed six nominations at the 2007 Black Entertainment (BET) Awards, including Best Female R&B Artist and the Viewer's Choice Award.

Knowles is also nominated twice each for Best Collaboration, with boyfriend Jay-Z on both “Déjà vu” and “Upgrade U,” and Video of the Year, for “Irreplaceable” and her Shakira duet “Beautiful Liar.”

Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Akon and Gnarls Barkley have secured three nominations apiece.

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Diana Ross, while Don Cheadle will be honored with the Humanitarian Award for his campaign highlighting genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan.

The 2007 BET Awards will be hosted by comedienne Mo'Nique and take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 26.

Lindsay Lohan's new romance with British model/reality TV star Calum Best is reportedly in trouble after the pair were caught up in a screaming match in a New York hotel.

The New York Daily News reports Lohan had to be escorted to her suite at the posh Soho Grand by hotel staff after guests complained about the noisy outburst on Monday night.

According to hotel guests, the couple appeared to have fallen out over reports Best has been cheating on his famous lover.

One onlooker, who spotted the couple rowing in the hotel's lobby, tells the Daily News, "Calum's clothes were torn, and after a few minutes, they got back into the elevator and went back to their room."

But, in a conflicting report, it appears Lohan returned to her penthouse suite after an evening out with friends and "was screaming about how Calum was cheating on her".

The couple appeared to have patched up their differences 24 hours later, when they were spotted kissing and cuddling at New York hotspot Stereo.

Tragic model Anna Nicole Smith left $710,000 to her late son Daniel in her will.

Smith's companion Howard K. Stern filed her will - written six years ago - on Monday and is asking for probate on the document.

Smith's nine-month-old daughter Dannielynn is not mentioned in the will and the tot's father, photographer Larry Birkhead is seeking guardianship of the little girl's estate.

Stern's petition asks a judge to recognize him as the will's main executor and names Dannielynn as Smith's survivor.

Once probate in granted, Dannielynn is expected to inherit the model's estate in a trust until she is older and also could potentially inherit the estate of Smith's late husband J. Howard Marshall II, which could be worth up to $500 million.

Daniel, 20, died in September in the Bahamas just three days after Smith gave birth to his half-sister. The former Playboy model died onFeb. 8 in a Florida hotel suite of an accidental drug overdose.

Hollywood actor Elijah Wood is set to play punk rocker Iggy Pop in a movie about his life.

The Lord of the Rings star will take the lead role in the biopic, entitled The Passenger, which follows Pop's early career with The Stooges.

According to Daily Variety, Pop has "given his blessing to the project but will not take part in it". Filming is expected to begin within six months.

Pop recently reunited with The Stooges and the band have just completed a tour in support of their first album in over 30 years, The Weirdness.
